The setting:
For the past few centuries, there have been super humans in all parts of the world. These beings with different backgrounds and identities have not always been publicly known but have either used their powers to protect or destroy the areas that they have been in.
The year is sometime in the 2100's. The landscape has been altered by natural disasters, causing new islands to form and old areas to disappear. While the law and government are still intact, humanity slowly recovers as it begins to build itself back up. Tangent Tropolis is one of the new cities that are created on these islands. Located in the northeast of the United States, the city becomes the center for work and homes. This also makes the city a target for violence and crime. During this period of time, super-humans, while not widely accepted by the public aren't as rare anymore or are unknown. Laws are created to keep them in check, which leads to formation of a new militia called ARMOR (Allied Reinforced Military Operations Regiment) to enforce them.
Back-story:
The story starts off with a German Nazi named Ezekiel Zelinski. He was a projects director of a secret Nazi experimental weapons unit that was invaded by the American Armed Forces before any of the actual weapons could be put into action. Ezekiel, having some foresight of the attack, steals an experimental serum and injects himself with it before being shot five times in the back. He later wakes up in a morgue discovering that the serum allowed him to survive the attack. The serum, which was originally designed to enhance the mind, had given Ezekiel a body that didn't age and would recover from most intense injuries, as well as giving him the abilities of pyrokinesis and emotion awareness and control.
A few decades later, Ezekiel mastered his abilities as well as discovers that he no longer aged. He moves to America and starts a weapons manufacturing business called Blitz Corporation. Using his abilities, Ezekiel quickly builds up his fortune as well as his business while still keeping his past and powers a secret. After a while, Ezekiel becomes bored with his own immortality, which soon changes when a geneticist named Henry Stross convinces him otherwise. The two of them teamed up together and develop a plan to eventually rule the world. This leads to the creation of the Academy. Founded by Dr. Stross outside of the city of Tangent Tropolis, the Academy became the central area where all geniuses and scientists could meet. It also became a training area where superhuman children trained their abilities to become beneficial to society. This was just a cover-up, as the actual plan was to brainwash the students into becoming soldiers and to use their discoveries that were made to help further world conquest.
Ezekiel eventually marries Dr. Stross's daughter, Belinda Stross. Despite Ezekiel's inability to have children due to the effects of the serum, Belinda manages to give birth to twins, christened Sabrina and Sebastian Zelinski. Their reaction to Ezekiel's DNA causes both Belinda and the twins to age twice as slowly. After some time passes, the twins developed different abilities and prospered at the Academy, eventually becoming the Academy's prefect and co-manager. As for Blitz Corp. itself, a chosen team of scientists were transferred to work for the corporation. The group that actually knew about the plan for world domination included Dr. Stross's protegé Dr. Tom-Bone, Theron Xanatos, and Ms. Elizabeth Gutton. The scientists that were kept out of the loop were Professors Pike and Edward Masters and Dr. Galleta Blanca. Derek Fisher and Dr. Ameter took their positions after the deaths of Edward and Galleta.
Edward Masters and Galleta Blanca were murdered because they deviated from the Blitz Corporation's world domination plans. Edward Masters, a brilliant scientist on alternative energy, creator of pocket universes, wormhole generators, and teleportation devices, he wanted to use his inventions to benefit everyone. However, he soon discovered that Blitz Corp. intended to use his experiments for their own devious purposes. This leads to Edward quitting so that he could fund his own experiments. At the same time, Pike was having dementia issues and was trying to fix the problem by installing a chip into his skull. This cures his dementia, but caused him to become crazy, which Ezekiel uses to his advantage in manipulating him. He sent Pike to kill off Edward to prevent him from sharing information that he believed still belonged to the corporation. Pike sabotaged one of Edward's experiments, causing Edward and his wife to die in an explosion while sucking their son Monty into a vortex of energy. Afterward, Pike killed off his entire family and is sent to a mental institution where he turned himself into a cyborg and is then later rehired into Blitz Corp.
As for Galleta, she wasn't technically killed, but she was as close enough to it. Galleta Blanca was a geneticist that worked alongside Tom-Bone. She also had a daughter who attended the Academy. While at the Academy, both of them took samples and worked with the DNA that came from the superhuman children. While Galleta focused more on developing cures and vaccines to illnesses and diseases, Tom-Bone secretly spent his time on perfecting DNA alterations and creating bio-weapons. Galleta's fate was set when she started to look into why some of the children's records were being withheld from her. She confronts Ezekiel about it, but found out nothing. Ezekiel saw this action as a potential risk and ordered Tom-Bone to take care of it. Tom-Bone shows Galleta the Zero Chamber, a pocket universe Edward created for the corporation. Galleta is horrified by what she sees, not suspecting Tom-Bone to be a part of it. They continue to explore the area until Tom-Bone traps her into a room where she is poisoned with an experimental version of Jinx. Instead of dying, she mutated beyond recognition.
A year after Edward Master's death, his son, Monty Masters, managed to escape the energy vortex where he is trapped. Having attended the Academy when his father worked for Blitz Corporation, Monty is sent back to the school. At first, Monty displayed no outward abilities and even managed to make a few friends, but soon his abilities manifested unconsciously and he teleported himself into a pocket universe where an alternate version of the school is located. There he found out that some of the students were being experimented upon and turned into weapons. He met Ms. Gutton, who is trapped in the dimension due to an anti-matter accident, creating the pocket universe where she would be crushed into a singularity if she left. Monty promised to cure her if she doesn't tell anyone he was there. She made the promise, but still reported him to Dr. Stross. Dr. Stross, who is now an old man in a wheelchair being kept alive by chemicals, sent Sebastian Zelinski, a powerful telekinetic, to kill Monty. Disguised, he found Monty, but missed him as Monty escaped by learning how to fly and by using energy to cover himself that is somehow resistant to Sebastian's telekinesis.
The next day, Ezekiel met with Belinda at the school. Monty interrupted their meeting by offering his services to the corporation. Ezekiel accepted his offer and Monty begins working where his father left off and even managed to cure Ms. Gutton of her condition. While working as a scientist, Monty spent most of his time studying business. Years later, he left Blitz Corporation. and founds his own manufacturing business called Omega Enterprises. His intention to is to use the business to get his revenge on Ezekiel for killing his parents, and to destroy Blitz Corporation. To make sure that happened, he allied himself with the corporation.
