example 2!] Not realistic like those though, more cartoony to match the MLP style!
Story: At first, like most little sisters with older siblings to look up to, Calville just wanted to be like her big sister. She wanted to be good at trading the delicious, juicy apples that grew in their tree for other goods, getting the best deals, she wanted to be able to come up with clever ideas on new ways to sell their apples to make them more appealing.
But when she tried, she always came off a little... too enthusiastic, to put it mildy, and most of the other weavers felt a little too pressured and put off by the way she attempted to get them to trade with her for apples. They'd always turn her down politely, of course, because who would be mean to a kit just typing to sell them apples? But Calville could see well enough that it wasn't what she was good at. Her big sister encouraged her to keep trying new things, so she wasn't ready to give up yet.
Next, of course, she tried to be like her big brother. She tried pulling the large leaves with apples piled up on them, but they were just too heavy, especially for such a tiny kit. She shook the branches on the apple tree, trying to knock the apples from their hold, but not even a twig came loose, and Calville felt defeated. How was she
ever going to find out what her talent was now? She couldn't trade and she couldn't gather -- she couldn't do anything!
Her big sister, of course, rolled her eyes and said she was just exaggerating. Those two things weren't the only talents a little featherweaver could have. "You don't need to try to be like someone else," her big sister had said, as she piled up the freshly picked apples, ready to to open up shop to start trading. "You've got to find your own talent." Calville scrunched up her nose at that, watching her sister stack the apples up into boring, plain piles. Her presentations had always been so much nicer. "I still think I could trade 'em, sis," Calville whined with a pout, not understanding why it hadn't worked out. "Lots of 'weavers said my apples looked pretty." And her sister smiled indulgently, knowing her sister needed some cheering up, said, "well, why don't you help me today?"
And so Calville did; her sister asked her to show her exactly what she'd done, and Calville arranged the apples with apple blossoms, a mix of the white and pale pink flowers with the green leaves bringing out the vibrant colors of the apples, all arranged in decorative ways to appeal to the eye. And sure enough, the beautiful arrangements caught the eye of many a 'weaver that passed by that day, trading their jewelry, berries, and other herbs for their apples, complimenting the pair of sisters on the displays.
And by the end of the day, when all the apples were gone and they'd collected the supplies they'd needed, her big sister looked down at her with a knowing grin. "So, did'ja think of what your talent could be? We traded all the apples today!"
But Calville rolled her eyes and sighed. "Yeah, 'cause of you," she grumbled, and her sister laughed and nuzzled her cheek. "Maybe some," her sister admitted, "but it wasn't all 'cause of me. You got a real eye for detail, you know, makin' all those arrangements with the flowers and plants. Except when it comes to your feathers," she teased, eyes twinkling with laughter, and Calville huffed in irritation and turned her head to look at her tiny tailfeathers -- only to find she wasn't exactly a blank flank anymore. "Hey!" she cried in delight and looked up at her sister, all but beaming. She hadn't known why she didn't see it before; she had been much happier at all the compliments on her work on the displays than she had been on the rare time she managed to make a trade. And that was alright by her -- maybe her talent wasn't like her brother's or sister's, but between the three of them, no one would be able to resist their apples.
((I know this is different from her talent on the show, hope that's okay!))
