ONE Direction star Niall Horan was left in a spin when his car SKIDDED on ice, SLEWED sideways and TILTED on two wheels before straddling a crash barrier.

Witnesses said front-seat passenger Niall, 19, climbed shakily from the Range Rover.

The boys had just been picked up by three vehicles at Heathrow’s Terminal Five after playing in Japan.

Bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson were in two people carriers when Niall’s 4x4 slid into the barrier near traffic lights on a dual carriageway leading from the airport.

A fan said: “They all waved as they went past, then the crash happened so suddenly. It must have been terrifying — the car’s wheels lifted off the road.

“We saw Niall climbing out. He looked shaken up but didn’t seem hurt. He got into a people carrier and they drove off again.”

Bad weather had already delayed the group’s plane for four hours on Sunday night.

Yesterday a source close to Niall said: “The crash was a shock but thankfully he’s fine.”

Last January three of the group suffered whiplash when a car struck their tour bus in Birmingham And in August Irish-born Niall was devastated by the death of pal Quentin Reilly, 19, in a crash near his hometown of Mullingar, Co Westmeath. A second passenger died three days later.
