There are two reasons why I posted this thread.
1. I need new anime, that I may find interesting
2. Why not? lol
I also find it necessary to tie people with similar interests together through anime and discussion, bringing us closer and friendlier. Somewhat like a second family.
NOTE: Everyone has a voice, and there own opinion on anime. You are to respect each other and absolutely not exile individuals with special opinions, no matter how terrible.

2. Clannad
1. Guilty Crown
These are my top anime that I enjoyed for their romance, comedy and for their tear jerking moments. Yeah that's right. I admit that I like that type of thing. And that ain't a bad thing. smile

I don't really have a top three, and there are anime/manga I would probably enjoy a whole lot if I could just get through them (Baccano!), or maybe they need to be in another format (Live Action Nodame Cantabile, loved it! Manga, could not finish...)
Past ones I have really liked were Bakemonogatari and Fruits Basket. Currently reading through Toukyou ESP which is not an anime yet, but should be.

3. Code Geass
Third one took a little bit of time to think about but considering its probably the only 50+ episode show i've watched more then twice i guess it gets a special nod

unfortunately, i don't think i'll be much help in rec'ing anime for you since i've not seen any of the ones you mentioned sweatdrop
lol I like a lot of what's being said ^^
reading through these, i was all 'mehehehe i know what kinda anime YOU like'
like a lot of people, i don't really rank my favorites, so here's there anime that i enjoyed/have been enjoying recently:
- humanity has declined
- madoka magica
- shinsekai yori

Aleelee 3.Deadman Wonderland 2.ElfenLied 1.Death Note I'm currently watching Code Geass and I gotta say it's pretty good so far. A lot of people who liked death note also like code geass XD personally, i loved death note, but i couldn't bring myself to watch the second season of code geass... i think the mecha got too much in the way for me.. loved the first opening song though ^^

Seems a lot of people with similar tastes. As for me:
1. Lucky*Star. It was the first anime I ever really got into, and as far as slice of life goes you can't really beat it.
2. Code Geass: LotR/R2. I love the drama as well as the futuristic vibe.
3. Durarara!! It had some of the best music of any series I've watched. The plot also had serious depth to it.
Runners Up:
Clannad/After Story, AIR, Angel Beats!, Kanon (2006). All by Key/Visual Arts, all with varying degrees of humor, romance, drama and depth.

Oh, wow. I see a lot of recurring ones in people's list of favourites, so they must be good. I seriously need to get back into anime; I miss having to wait for the next installment. xd
Anyways, my list is in no particular order rather just series that I would full-heartedly watch over and over again:
1. Rurouni Kenshin
2. Mobile Suit Gundam Wing
3. Ghost in the Shell S.A.G./2nd GIG
