History
Boken, originally, were a traveling group of kenjutsu entertainers in Land of Iron, whom adapted the shinobi combat style into their routines. During the time Shinobi arts were turning samurai away from Iado, some villagers became hostile to Boken. Many said this clan was an abomination for teaching the youth how 'artistic' the shinobi way could be, thus, taking away ambition to become Shinobi. The current General, whom was concerned didn't pay no attention to these complaints and merely saw Boken as entertainers and performers. After an assault of a performer during a show, Boken acted rather rash. To defend themselves, they killed several members of the audience. An entire audience turned against them, causing many to perish, including some Boken. Because of the incident, were forced to flee, due to them being deemed criminals. The current Amekage, Sabaku, extended an arm of friendship to Boken, presenting an offer. In turn for safety within the confines of Hidden Rain, they would, in return, offer their abilities to the current fighting force.
Land of Iron passed the rumor from village to village, claiming Boken were traitors, hiding in the shadows for their crimes. In retaliation, and show of trust, every head of Clan Boken has become the personal and trusted body guard to every Amekage. From the late Hanzo to the questionable Uragiri. Though others, whom proved more qualified have stepped forward and offered their services, tradition states only those of Boken descent have the honor of presenting their lives for the Amekage.
