All is what you remembered it, the homes, neighboorhoods, cities, grocery stores. There is only one real difference in this new world, zombies! An unstable chemical created by the Military has broken out that re-animates dead tissue, bringing the dead back to life. In this game of fight or flight, you play one of the survivors of man-kind, set to find ways to survive and fight against the zombie horde. Create your character (or play as your Gaia avatar) or yourself, and join us in creating a better tomorrow.
This too, is a relaxed invironment, come here and write with us, if you are well versed in rp you are welcome here, and if you are simply curious and this is your first time, come give it a try here, where you are among friends! Thank you, hope you will all enjoy.

Jervis had felt like he had been on the run for such a long time, even while he hid away in the dump that had once been his apartment, he still felt like he was running, always running. The floor had become his bed, though there was a perfectly capable one beneath the window to his place, he had pushed it against the wall to soften the blows when he landed from climbing on the outside landing in, just one afforded luxury, at least he could be thankful the zombie b-stards didn't quite learn how to climb up ladders yet. His front door was no longer in use, it had been bolted and nailed shut, after Alyss had tried to rip his arm with her teeth, he had given up, now he was only so sure the dead wandered the halls. Standing up he began to pace in his apartment, heading straight for the fridge, the power hadn't shut off yet...but he used it minimally and the fridge was on the low setting, the meat and produce had been the first to spoil. "--Hmm...food run soon." he uttered, noting the near emptiness of the fridge. Grabbing his well loved Top Hat, the one token of a life better lived before the chaos, he picked up his bloodied fire axe from its place against the wall, and climbed out the window with a burlap bag in hand.

Alan took another long swig from the foul-tasting liquor he had stolen from that gas station down the street. It was really the only way he could get to sleep, ever since moving to the city a while back. Now that the streets were filled with screams and gunshots, which were few but very unnerving when they did occur, the constant movement of the hordes was terrible. Any sign of their presence alone was enough to drive a man to the brink of terror and insanity. The only enjoyable thing he had gotten about this shitty apocalypse was the chance to shoot his landlord in the face, but it wasn't very fun. Not to mention that gas station had been cleaned out of everything but some cheap booze and a couple "Oat & Raisin Instameal", which tasted more like toilet water mixed with grits. Burnt grits, do be more exact. He'd have to make another food run soon, too. He had about 19 bullets left for his revolver, and a tire-iron. He also had some old hunting knives, but he didn't want to risk using those. Supposedly the chemicals that mutated the cadavers could be transferred through blood and saliva. He finished off his toilet breakfast and self-medication. It was time to head out for some grub 'n' booze.

Jervis had always been careful, ’Good, there aren’t many.’ he thought as he looked out below, always making sure not to complicate his exit. Down the ladder he would go, dropping onto the garbage dumpster beneath the landing, and clambering down, a quick tie being placed with the bag along his belt loop. Moving forward when this was done, he would silently take out the two lingering zombies, and keep close along the wall, always low to the ground. Straightening his Hat, out of habit like he always did, Jervis…or Hatter as he once was called, kept to the alleyways, main routes were compromised, and while the sewer system seemed like a good idea, he had learned the hard way. The sewers lacked zombies, but there was no real way of knowing what was above you, until you got up there. Up the street a car alarm blared, stupid idiot zombies must have triggered it, they’d stand around like mindless goons gnawing at the fender, until finally something would cognitively click and they’d realize it wasn’t living. Part of him didn’t mind the Apocalypse, he was nothing of any real worth before the incident, but now…zombie hunter extraordinaire. He had just found a sort of ironic humor in the fact that Twinkies were supposed to outlive the apocalypse, and they hadn’t, financial ruin and a crumbling empire. Wetting his thin lips, he’d be out, moving again…the grocery store wasn’t too far off the beaten path, just a couple blocks…he’d be there in no time.

Jovy moves forward for his life, never turns back even though he hear screams afar and near, still forward. following the highway road, seeing a few moving dead bodies a far and carcass rots to his way, still moves forward. The feeling of cold, emotionless, death still prays to be strong and brave, but still feels shivers for every step he takes, finding food is hard for his location, leaves are his gum, sweat is his water, and a working analogues alarm clock in his pocket, nothing more than a dead man walking, but still he never gave up, "Never say die" was hes motto, but even though he thinks that, reality can still kill him.
On that faithful night, Jovy found a crashed supply truck, he was happy but then again a number of zombies are near in the supply truck, 20 or maybe more. He sits and thinks of a plan, until...
He moves carefully, far away to the supply truck until he cant see it. Places the alarm clock to a tree and timed it for he can go back to his position.
He waited, then the sound of loud RRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG~!!!!! was heard.
The zombies heard it, they simply walk and some ran to that area like it was something to take notice.
"Just like I suspected" Jovy smirked and simply waited for them to be gone.
Later he got in the supply truck and found out that some foods were gone, and some partial were left. Rather than nothing, he takes the plastic bag and picks up some candy, broken crackers, 2 noodles, plastic bottle with a little bit water on it and the most precious of all, a lighter. He was happy for everything he had and left an arrow made of twigs pointing towards the meadow telling where he went.
Quickly and carefully hurried to the meadow, and stopped and said to himself, "it's good to be a hobo..." with a simple smirk and moves forward for his life...

Lynnette ran as fast as she could down the stairs of the school she once loved to go to. Fighting back the tears that were building up in her eyes , she stopped dead in her tracks as a group of zombies stumbled up the stairs to where she was. Slowly backing up , she felt her back touch the wall and quickly looked up the stairs only to see more zombies coming down. Biting her bottom lip she knew she had to act fast. Tapping her fingers along the wall she saw the windows. ' I'm completely insane for doing this.. ' She thought as she looked back to the zombies approaching. " But i'd rather die from a fall then to die from being eaten alive! " She shouted as she lunged herself towards the window , successively going through it . . . but I cannot say the same for her landing. Hearing a small snapping sound as she hit the hard ground below , she shrieked out in pain as she covered her ankle. ' Just . .just great. . ' She whispered to herself as she bit her bottom lip and went with the pain , limping along to the nearest place she could hide in for the moments being ; The grocery store.

As he ran down the street in the general direction of the nearest grocery store, he kept to the shadows and took use of his long practiced silent steps. He had since learned the streets of this dirt bag city well after living on the street previous to the apocalypse. His mind started to drift back to days of old, when he dropped his tire-iron. CLANG. "s**t." was all he had to reply to the loud noise as he heard the sick shlopping and shambling footsteps of the rotting corpses that crawled out of the wood works to take a bite out of him. He picked up his pace, no longer caring so much for silence. He screamed quite similar to a small schoolgirl when a large rambling zombie grabbed him, but soon dispatched it with a gruesome strike that shattered it's decaying skull. Finally, the grocery store was within his line of sight, and he started to fully sprint for it. He had lost most of the zombies, but he was well aware they would not give up the trail, no matter how slow they were. They were very persistent despite their speed.

Halfway sprinting , halfway limping , Lynnette tried to be as quiet as she could manage.. but that's kind of hard when you just broke your ankle you know. Biting her bottom lip to try and muffle the small whimpers of pain she would make as she would step with her injured foot, Quickly straightening up as she heard a ' clang ' and then a shriek , her eyes widened and she kept still for a moment , well , all until she heard a few moans from behind her and she hurried towards the grocery store. " Almost there Lynnette. " She told herself as the store came into her view. " Just a few more moments. " She would repeat in her head as she grew closer and closer to her new sanctuary. Finally reaching the back door, she grabbed the handle and twisted , almost shouting with joy but stopping herself in fear that the corpses would hear. Taking a step inside and closing the squeaking door behind her , she looked around and muffled a shriek with her hand.
The place was infested with zombies.

Alan covered the last bit of distance separating himself from the safe haven of the grocery store, even though he had lost almost all of the zombies by now. The front door was locked, so he smashed through the window. He was quickly met with groping and insatiable hands clawing at his body. He removed his gun from his belt and fired into the crowd, madly swinging his tire-iron at the same time. He could hear thunk after one another, typically coupled with a disgusting moist shplick as he smashed through zombie faces. Soon he was standing in a pile of corpses attempting to reload his sidearm while the monstrous horrors that only seemed things of a children's nightmares not long ago tried to turn him into the main course. His next shot hit right on the money, a small propane tank used for a portable grill, which exploded. The outward force and heat weren't much, but they were enough to set off a chain reaction.

With her mouth agape , Lynnette looked in awe as the man took down the horde of corpses. Squatting down and peeking at him through spaces in the shelves ,she had forgotten about the pain in her ankle. For a moment. With a sudden shock she shrieked loudly and covered her ankle. Eyes widening and covering her mouth , she cursed silently to herself. Peeking back at the man through a space in the shelf , she realized how close they were together , of course he would of heard her. Still covering her ankle , she made her was from behind the shelves to the Pharmaceutical part of the grocery store and slid over the counter , keeping her eyes locked on the man the whole time.

Seems everyone and their mothers was heading to the grocery store, good call though, she had needed to hit up the medical supplies, make one idiot move and one could be a goners around here, never a dull moment with a zombie apocalypse. Reaching along the workman’s toolbelt along her waist, Tori would have removed from it a Dentist’s mirror, the small tool came in handy, never was full proof, but smart. Slipping the little lensed mirror up through the manhole cover finger holes, she spun it about in a circular motion, counting silently in her head, ’One...and...two.’ one zombie beside the dumpster, gnawing at the thing like a moron, probably chasing a rat, and the second hurrying off and away towards the back door, pawing at it. Slipping it back away, she nudged the cover upwards, sliding it aside and scrambling out, thin bandaged fingers going straight for the nail spiked baseball bat along her back. Before the zombie could make a move,a noise, she was on him, swinging the bat with all her might, until it came down hard cracking the corpse in the skull, killing it quick, when she had finished with the first, the second had started its movements, lumbering towards her with grabbing hands. By appearance, in her early twenties, and dressed up like a girl scout, or maybe a naval officer, perhaps some nestalgic reminder of her youth. Killing the zombie quick, with another satisfying crunch, she moved forward. The back door was unlocked, just as she had hoped, and she would slip inside the delivery bay silently entering after Lynette, unknown that she had already entered, movements quiet and low to the ground while she walked. Somewhere ahead in the store she heard a blast go off, with the follow of the crinkle of glass, ’What the hell?’ she thought, tightening her grip on the bat only more. Pushing through the double rubber sided bay doors, they swung out and she stepped past them, spying two others, a man and a woman, she would move quickly inside keeping to herself for the most part while her fingers pilfered over the labels, snatching whatever she could fit in her sack. Around her the scent of cooked human flesh filled the air, and she frowned. ”—God dammit, wheres the Bactine?” huffing slightly out of annoyance, she gave up on the pursuit, and went instantly for the candy section, allowing herself the future enjoyment of her favored gummi bears. Glancing between the two, she’d clench her jaw and nod, speaking in quiet tones, ”—Nice work.” the only real words, she'd say as she checked over her own bandages, "--Haven't seen anyone living in some time, guess the Grocery store in a Zombie Apocalypse, is like the watering hole in the Saranghetti."

It wouldn’t take long before he was settled accross the street, about to make headway into the Grocery store, when a blast of heat and spray of glass, flew at him. Throwing his arm in front of his face, he blocked the mess and continued on forward when it seemed okay, from the rubble he saw another, a man...who had done a hell of a job burning zombies to a crispy cinder. Clenching his jaw, he slid the bandanna around his neck, upwards along his mouth and nose, doing his best to block out the scent. He was prepared for anything, zombies weren’t the only issues suffered in the apocalypse, not all living humans were good, and he wasn’t about to be left empty handed by the group without a fight. Cautious, of the man...as he saw, two other women, he ducked in...axe still resting along his shoulder, while he yanked open the mouth of his bag, dropping in a number of items, food mostly, as his medical stash was well taken care of. Alyss, before her death had been a bit of a hypcondriac, and had kept every manner of medicine under the sun, for any manner of sickness or ailment that could hit her on any given day, god bless her craziness. Wetting his thin lips, he kept to himself for now, though there was something about the girl Lynette, that somewhat reminded him of his former wife, and he couldn’t help but stop and address her, as she limped about. ”—You might need some ice, and a splint for that.” he didn’t know where the ice, thought had come from, considering the lack now days, but even a bag of mushy cool peas might have helped, ”—Just a thought.” he uttered, before snatching a bottle of Jack, waving it towards her, ”—This, might help a little too, with the pain.” Mothers olden days remedy, the soldiers serum...would work just fine for now. Stealing a quick swig, he would enjoy the flavor, for more than just medicinal purposes.

"Holy s**t, I'm on fire!" Was the only thing Alan dare say as he realized the blast had ignited various sections of his clothing. He started rolling around in broken glass when the bullets in his pocket began to discharge, shooting him in the thigh, the others that fired off flew randomly towards the walls. Finally he managed to extinguish the flames with a jug of water he grabbed from a nearby shelf. Alan stood up and splashed some water on his face, ignoring the other people roaming around the building. He kept his empty revolver pointed at them. 'Hope they don't figure it's empty' He grabbed up his pillow case and backpack and threw some various snack cakes and crap in it. By now the pain was hindering him so he just tossed whatever junk wasn't covered in rotten blood into the bags. Next he move to the cheap market booze. This was the... Cheap stuff? The beautiful clinking of the bottles being shoveled into his bag were like music to his ears. Walking over to the man and woman, he said, "So, what's up Mr. Axe Murderer?"

Blinking a few times at the two men who were in front of her , Lynnette blinked lazily a few times. Noting the bottle that was being waved in her face, she quickly grabbed it and downed half the thing. Having a small coughing fit , but quickly getting over it, she wiped her mouth with the sleeve of her uniform and rubbed her injured ankle. Looking away from the two, she ran the name over in her head. ' Mr. Axe Murderer..? ' she asked herself repeatedly until the stench of burning corpses reached her and she nearly gagged, then quickly covered her nose and mouth with her hands.

Alan looked over to the girl as she inquired about the nickname he had given to his new-found, axe-wield, companion. "I have no idea what slasher over here's name is, but that there seemed good 'nough." Another flash of pain of pain hit him from the wound in his thigh, and he sat down on a nearby bench. "I think I broke ma tailbone," He muttered, mostly to himself. He looked up the gagging girl and laughed a little. It was kind of funny to see ones reaction to something he'd smelt more times than he would have liked after ugly, rotten, and smelly came knockin' at his door. Since his most available substances were lighters and alcohol, a great many molotov cocktails had been launched into small crowds of his ever adoring fans.
