Confined Room ========== The Confined Room is actually a small facility where criminals are temporarily placed before they are send to the Nest of Maggots. There are only a dozen rooms in the facility, but they hardly ever filled because the Confined Room is meant to be a temporary holding cell. The Confined Room was built with technology to restrained any criminal including high level shinigami. A suspect will be held in the Confined Room for a maximum of seven days before they are send to the Nest of Maggots if they are judged to be criminals.

I have placed many things in the hands of others...
And I have lost them all.
She arrived and found Antonio just finishing with the restraints for Eko. Hinata had managed to stop her tears for the moment, but more were to come, and soon. "Antonio... Yosei and I found the cause of Eko's outburst. His wife... she died while healing someone in Karakura town. She... she was his world, his life. She was the one who tamed his hasty personality and poor judgement... the personification of everything good he saw in the world. Her loss... I know what he's going through. Two hundred years ago I lost my own husband, son, and daughter-in-law all at the same time. Then ten years later, both of my grand daughters were killed and became spirits... I thought I had lost Ruka, the older Twin... but she was found some time ago, with amnesia. Yuka, the younger twin and I... we fought to restore her memories. It took time... but now I have them both. I... what I mean to say with all this is... I can calm him if you release his restraints before he wakes up. Let me talk to him. Please..." She hadn't expected to spill her past to this man before her just yet, but in her mind, it was imperative that Antonio allow her to calm Eko without being interfered. It seemed like spilling her heart would be the best way to get him to accept her point of view and give her a chance.
But whatever I have placed in my own hands...

(OOC: Rei, next time wait till I post Antonio actually arriving first.) Antonio "Tony" Reyes It only takes two shots for my bullet to run through your skull Antonio entered the facility, usually it was tough for anyone to get into the facility, but he was the Captain. The only other person with a high clearance like him was the Third Seat because that person was in charge of the Detention unit. There were always guards present in the facility mostly from his own Executive Militia members and it was usually them who took the suspects. However, Antonio had to make sure that Eko was placed in a confined room that would withstand his power. He made sure to tell his guards to allow the Third Seat and Fifth Seat access whenever they decided to enter the facility. When he found an appropriate room he quickly sat Eko down on the lone chair present which looked more like a throne. He placed the many restrains that were given to him by Division Twelve in order to restrain the suspects. He didn't really want to do this, but these restrains would make sure that Eko's spiritual energy was blocked from him. If by some chance he did manage to escape then he would be right there to bring him back.
He heard light steps coming from outside and room and he knew who it was. He find it odd that only Hinata arrived, did she order Yosei to stay back? He didn't looked over his shoulder, his eyes were solely focused on Eko. She heard her explanation and then the outburst made sense; he just lost the love of his life. Hinata seemed to know exactly how he was feeling since she experienced many loses herself. Every person had a story to tell and many people lost loved ones. Hinata and Eko were unfortunately one of those people who lost their loved ones too early. He wasn't cold-hearted, but he couldn't ignore his duties as Captain either. If Eko lost control again then he would be branded as dangerous and then he might have to send him to the Nest of Maggots. He was sure that the Gotei 13 knew about Eko, but why wasn't he informed properly? Maybe he was still too new to be trusted by the elites. Nonetheless if they were allowing him to be a shinigami even under his wild conditions then maybe it was expected of him to give this man a chance. He wondered if Hinata was placed in this squad to be a sort of "guardian" to Eko.
Antonio sighed, "very well, but I'll be coming along." He removed the restrains on Eko and placed him over his shoulder again. He was still breathing so he knew he was alive. He looked at Hinata and nodded, "lead the way and I will follow. I hope you can calm him down otherwise he will need to be restrained."

With a nod, Hinata murmured a thank you in a light, failing, raspy breath. She walked into the cell where Eko was and knelt down in front of him, placing her hand on his shoulder. She shook him gently, almost imperceptibly, "Eko... please, Eko... wake up. I'm here to talk... so wake up, ok?" Her voice was light, gentle, and entirely from the base of her own emotions. She felt closer to Eko now, and wanted to calm him as best she could. More than anything, she was going to get him to realize he still had Sora to live for. That would be the one thing she would drive into him with all she had.
But whatever I have placed in my own hands...
That is what I still possess.

Yosei arrived at the front of the facility. She had seen the place in passing to other places. This was the first time she was actually going up to the Confined Room. She wasn't surprised when the guards looked at her and then moved out of her way to let her in. She bowed them and went inside. Once inside, she look multiple doors and stairways and knew that one of them were holding Eko and held Hinata and Antonio as well. All she had to focus on their voices...
Kosu... She filtered through all the other voices and sounds that were in the facility. She continued until she had Hinata and Antonio's voice. Once she had the location, she made her way to them. When she arrived, it was Antonio standing by where as Hinata was trying to talk to Eko. She stood behind Antonio, just coming through the door and all. She stood by the wall, her hand on her sword as she mentally thought that blade could be useful if Eko went berserk...

A pain that made him not want to search for the light to be liberated from the depths of the black but rather, wither and die. Why....just why? He asked, the question open for God to answer. Why would this happen...to him? To Sora? He didn't remember much after reading the letter, just a sort of blackness and then a brief amount of pain. As he floated there in the abyss, his eyes in this ephereal world seemed to close. He didn't want to go on. He held no desire. As he floated there, in the ethereal, a voice rang out through his mind, one that he knew...but one that he didn't...odd, isn't it. Come to me...when you are ready. At first, Eko only shook his head but obviously the voice was not willing to argue, as a bright light shone through the intrepid darkness...and Eko awoke discontently.
Slowly, Eko opened his eyes to see Hinata looking upon him, down to him, actually. He only looked at her face, which was somber enough, and wanted to turn away. If she looked into his eyes, it would be easy to tell that he was dead inside, not holding any desire to talk nor to listen. He just wanted...well, he really didn't know what he wanted...not anymore. His hand reached for his right wrist, gripping it in the old habit that he thought he had broken himself of. She is dead. I am here. And I didn't save her. He had royally messed up...to the point where he knew that he could not make amends. Not to her....nor to his daughter. He wasn't good enough.

Yosei took noticed that Eko was awake now and from the lack of surges and no other movement.. He wasn't going to go berserk like before. She felt compelled to walk as close as she could get. He made had been awake but that didn't mean that he couldn't snap at a given moment. And she rather not be the cause of that.
When she got as close as she could, he had turned his head from Hinata's stare. Though she couldn't see his eyes, the way he was positioned was rather familiar. For her it was really too familiar of a posture. She was positive his eyes matched eyes she had been before a long time ago. She had hope not to see such eyes again. She had spent too many years seeing it.
She stood behind where Hinata and Eko at an angle. Would the mention of Sora bring some life into him. After all, she was safe and was his daughter. Should she say that his daughter was safe and sound at the Seshiro Estate?
For the moment, she just remained quiet, seeing how everything would progress...

When Eko rolled away from her, Hinata's first instinct was motherly: to grab him and pull him into a hug. Then she remembered just who she was dealing with, not to mention who she was. With a resounding SMACK Hinata hit Eko on his shoulder. "Don't turn away from me when I'm here to help you! Baka!" She pulled on his arm and rolled him over as far as his back, just enough so she could look him in the eyes. The same eyes she had after losing her husband and child. "When people say that they understand what you're going through... most of the time it's horse s**t. Right now though... this... this I understand better than anyone in the world. Please... don't shut down. Sora will need you more than ever before." She wiped a tear or two from her eyes and shook her head back and forth. "Just be glad you still have your child! I lost mine... and the pain is still unbearable! Pick up your head, you big idiot... pick it up now and talk... vent, spill your heart if you need to... cry if you need to... but don't just lay there like a god damned corpse!" She punched him in the shoulder gently out of frustration, trying to put some sense into him. She couldn't tell if it was working or not... but she would keep trying for as long as it took.
But whatever I have placed in my own hands...

He didn't even move though, his limps lay limp even as Hinata punched him, no matter how gently, in the shoulder. A blow that would normally be halted by his mere presence, shook his frame as it was delivered. Maybe he felt like crying...maybe...maybe he felt like screaming. But all of those emotions were mulled together, not warranting him to act on any of them. "I don't know what to tell Sora...I will never know what to tell Sora...I don't have a damn...clue..." For the first time in his life, he didn't know what to think or what to tell his little girl. Usually, he held on the answers. But when that angel came up to him and asked, "Where is Mommy?" What the hell was he supposed to say? WHAT THE HELL WAS HE SUPPOSED TO SAY! He didn't even want to imagine it himself. In the depth of his mind, he imagined that perhaps he would be able to go home and Kaori would be there in a couple of hours after her shift...and they could have dinner, Eko could read to Sora, and then sleep...just sleep, sleep, sleep. A nightmare over...
Gently, his hand grabbed Hinata's shoulder and began to gently but with a good amount of force, push her away as he stood up, shakily. His head was rushing, the point on his head where Antonio had struck pulsating with a brief stab of pain, in which he grabbed onto the side of the confinement chamber and held on, awaiting for the rush to end. "I just want to go...home." He didn't feel good. His stomach was turning over even as he stood, and his reiatsu was fluxuating oddly from the burst he had released unknowingly in the Cherry Blossom Garden. "I want to be home...with Sora..." His eyes closed as he tried to continue standing.

Yosei winced seeing the first hit that Hinata gave. She worried that that would cause him to go berserk but it never happened. Instead it was just Hinata talking to him. She inhale a sharp gasp of her breath as Hinata said that she lost a child. So a husband and a child.... She cause it was a good thing that Hinata was the one taking to Eko. If anything could get through to him Hinata would be the one. And it seemed to work.
Eko stood up. It was a bit clumsily as he held onto the side of the wall. It had to be from when Antonio took control and knocked him out. She could hear him say he wanted to go home and be with Sora. Yosei took some cautious steps forward.
"I could take you to her..." she said softly. "Or bring her here.... I don't mind... Anything I could do to help you...sir..."

Eko's words made Hinata shudder. She knew his pain all too well. He understood that he had to be strong for his daughter, but the grief of his loss was too much to handle. He just wanted to hold his daughter close, and wish it was all a bad nightmare. And then Eko stood, shakily, and Hinata allowed him to use her as a prop to stand on. She rose with him and waited for him to speak before sighing again, a long, deep sigh.
She turned to Antonio and Yosei and smiled a sweet, distracted smile. She shot Yosei a momentary look that said 'thank you for helping'. "Eko is no threat any more. The outburst was momentary, I swear. If it suits you, sir, I would take Eko into my charge while he deals with his grief. He and Sora would stay in my home while he comes to terms with this tragic loss. It is better than him going to his own home... I'm sure you understand why. I will take full responsibility for his actions, and any trouble he causes. Is this acceptable, sir?" Her tone was even, measured, calm. She meant what she said, and Antonio would either accept it for what it was, or he wouldn't. She couldn't care less at the moment. Her only concern was with the well being of her oldest and closest friend.
But whatever I have placed in my own hands...

Antonio "Tony" Reyes It only takes two shots for my bullet to run through your skull Antonio watched the scheme before him play out with indifference like he was detaching himself from this moment. He was there in body, but not in mind. He couldn't understand Eko's grief nor could he understand Hinata's experience because he never had someone so close to him pass away. Even someone he did know passed away or was killed there was always a certain empty feeling. He never felt sad, he never felt frustrated or angry, he just felt nothing. He wasn't sure if that meant he was cold-hearted or just very detached; maybe there was no difference between both. Hinata knew Eko and understood his feelings very well so she was handling the situation. She was probably the only one that could help Eko deal with his loss and grief. However, exactly for long will this grieving last? If Hinata was always taking care of Eko and if Eko was always depressed then neither of his seated officers were in any position to help him lead his squad. With this loss he might also be losing his Lieutenant and Third Seat.
Everything was too soon for him to make that kind of judgment, but he didn't make it this far without always being two or three steps ahead of the problem. He would watch how this situation played out for now. Eko did need some time to recover from the death of his wife. He might never recover, but Antonio would give him time (or at least as much time he's able to give him). He nodded to Hinata, "I will let you handle him...and Eko I am sorry for your loss." He could try to sympathize with his situation, but he just really didn't know how to feel. The problem didn't involve him and maybe that's why he could detach himself from this situation. It was rather cold, but he had no other reason so maybe he really was heartless. "Will you need help bringing him to your home?"

Hinata shook her head lightly back and forth, this time no smile on her face. "No... I'm sure I can handle him. Thank you for your understanding sir. I will return to work by tomorrow afternoon, or the morning of the next day at the latest. Is that alright?"
