Alright! Let's start brainstorming a plot! We're going to be hanging out at home for the elderly (none of us are on machines per the plot, but we can be on many medications if we want), and we need to figure out something, fun, funny, and exciting to carry us through! Remember that everything at this point is brainstorming, so don't take anything I say too seriously (or ever, for that matter). And, just because I propose something doesn't mean that it's necessarily the best idea. Debate things! Add new ideas! As long as we have a plot ready by the end of March, we should be fine on ordering art and making games to match it. heart (Though, the end of February might be better if we want to give ourselves more time on game development.)
Anywho, what should we call our place of residence? Something bookish like... Sunny Pages? Story Acres? Typeset Gardens?

I would imagine being stuck in such a place as a nursing home wouldn't be quite as thrilling as other locales and what not. So I propose that they all try and escape or just all in all cause a ton of mischief... Maybe trying to convince guests that simply because they are old doesn't mean they can't be "cool"? Recollecting tales of their youth and spreading little pearls of wisdom... I also think it'd be great if maybe something goes wrong with medications but that might be treading in dangerous waters. hee hee. Also I like the idea of the place being a reference to some kind of literature stuffs. I like Typset Gardens

Tampering with medications... interesting! biggrin
On a more personal note, Ms. Havisham was jilted in her story, and she never quite got over it. What if she starts trying to fill that void by becoming creepily amorous with some old men in our room.... rofl

And wheelchair racing and food fights in the cafeteria and prank calls... Wild old people paryting! Missing dentures! Prune juice chugging....

I like the idea of the setting being literatureized and I am very fond of the name Story Acres than anything else.
Granny sneaking off to the kitchen just to bake when she know she can't go there or something like that.
Damn it muse get back here and give me Ideas.... Grrr.

Alright, we need a problem, rising action, a climax, and resolution. What's a good problem? I'm actually thinking we could have a chatango meeting sometimes soon so we can do a bit of brainstorming in real time. heart

I totally plan on sleeping in awkward places. Under girls skirts, on chandeliers, in the middle of the bowling lane that I will bring myself if I have to~ XD

LilChibiusa Alright, we need a problem, rising action, a climax, and resolution. What's a good problem? I'm actually thinking we could have a chatango meeting sometimes soon so we can do a bit of brainstorming in real time. heart Okay here's Inky's list of suggestions for possible problems: ↗ What with being thrown into the real world they're afraid that no one will want to read there stories anymore. So the characters begin to feel that perhaps it'd be better to live out their days here in retirement than try and find a way back. ↘ Possible solution: Essentially have one member round up the fight, and try and get guests to convince the others to return back to their stories. That people really do appreciate all they did and have done. All in all: Old people got game too!↗ Breaking out of the retirment home! Who wants to be shuffled about in a monotomous schedule of chuffleboard and bingo, with mushy food? Not theese geezers! ↘ Possible solution: Round up all the guests and characters to make a break for it. Cause enough mayhem and chaos to make the orderlies loose their blooming minds. All in all: Old people do it Dennis the Menace style.↗ The characters have forgotten what there stories are and where they belong. They'd still have distinct personas and appearances affilated to them and their names but everything is just a little off. I mean poor Don Quixote thinks he's a space captain of the S.S. La Mancha! ↘ Possible solution: Guests help to set things right through series of mini games which will unlock certain events to happen (ie: A diary entry here, a knock on the noggin there, etc) All in all: Temporary amnesia all around.

For the second, what if they went to the nursing home, and were like, "We've just found paradise! Yummy pudding, soft beds, fun activities, and nurses to get rid of our aches and pains! Let's stay forever!" Then, after a little bit, they realize, "Hmm... Maybe this place isn't that great after all. It's kind of depressing." But, the head nurse won't let them leave, so they have to stage a Mission Impossible style breakout! And, for the first, everyone could over inflate their egos! I really like the way you're thinking! We need to have a plot meeting soon. Now that my interview is over, I'm ready to start buckling down and getting junk done! >w<
