 Background
The Muses sat together pondering. The arts had long slipped out of their grasp and- after millennia of denial -felt they had to do something about it. Calliope came up with idea of blessing the humans with powers that could only be accessed with the aid of the arts of all. "We cannot bless them all," Clio advised. "Such a thing can only lead to disaster." They all agreed, as they usually did. "One human for each of us shall suffice." Urania offered that they choose the young and mailable. "But at random," Thalia spat excitedly. "As not to choose favourites, is all." "But we need them close together," Erato mentioned. "So they can bounce off one another's ideas like we bounce off each others." Calliope thought on this. "I have heard word of institutions called High Schools, which are made to teach growing important lessons. We shall choose at random a student each from one of these High Schools and inform them of their fellow blessed beings so they may bond together." They all nodded in agreement and got to preparing their plan.
And, hey, they're ancient Goddesses from the depths of mythology. They're allowed to be a little predictable!

Story
Nine students at Knot Hill High School had weird dreams. Ok, it's a bit cliché, but yes, weird dreams. A woman appeared to each of them explaining that they had special powers that could only be unlocked through the use of a certain art. They also showed the students the faces of seven of their fellow school students. And that was about it. Not that much help, really. The students really have to fend for themselves and work out what the hell is going on.

Rules
➽museTOS is there for a reason. Get acquainted with it.
➽museKeep this RP PG-13 plus. I will allow swearing (if it's part of the character), but no gory violence or over sexualised content, please.
➽museNo godmodding. I've tried to keep the powers anti-godmod, but there's always the potential that you'll go too far. Don't let yourself do that.
➽museYour character is not automatically a master of their respective art. The whole point of this RP is to see the characters grow to use their art and if they're already a master of it then that's ruined.
➽museRomance is allowed. I think you're all smart enough to keep it human x human. No falling in love with your Muse and definitely no romance with random dogs
➽museAll of the characters with the power to enchant people cannot enchant player characters without asking. Also, their powers, even at most powerful, are not permanent. There's a 5 post maximum (of the character that's enchanted) for the length of the spell.
➽museRespect each other, ok? Characters can be as bitchy as you want, but if you use your character to insult the actual player or insult them in OOC, you're gonna get a talking to.
➽museThere can be characters who are not part of the whole Muse thing. They can be students, teachers, whatever you like. They can also know about the Muse situation. There's nothing preventing the students with powers telling others.
➽museOne muse per character. One character per muse. No 'if's or 'but's. If the nine spots are taken up then you'll just have to not have a muse then!
➽museI'll just make this an American school to make it easier for you guys. That means all students must be at the youngest 14 (in the case that the kid was put up a year) to 19 (in the case that they were held back).
➽musePretty posts please. But that I mean at least a picture of the character and some coloured text to indicate when the character is talking and when they are thinking. Thinking text should always be in italics:

Muses
Calliope - [Carmen Bithron]
The Muse of Epic Poetry. Her student must both be able to be a storyteller, but they also must incorporate the general rules of poetry. There is no expectation that her student is to write Paradise Lost, but they have to effectively put the two things together.
Power - The ability to combine objects (inanimate objects)
Clio - [August Kelly]
The Muse of History. Her student must learn from the past and find interest in it.
Power - The ability to see past events by touching objects that had a part in them
Erato - [Logan Pagano]
The Muse of Love poetry. Her student must be able to put true feelings of love into poetry.
Power - The ability to momentarily make two people fall in love
Euterpe - [Zachary Williams]
The Muse of Song and Elegiac poetry. Her student must be able to bring together music and poetry. And none of this hip-hop stuff will do. Only songs that are reflective and soulful will work to unlock the respective power.
Power - The ability to hear sounds beyond normal human hearing
Melpomene - [Jade Harper]
The Muse of Tragedy. Her student must find true tragedy and work it into a form of drama.
Power - The ability to physically feel what another is feeling momentarily
Polyhymnia - [Eleanor Bailey]
The Muse of Hymns. Her student must be able to admire someone or something and use that admiration to create music.
Power - The ability to temporarily make someone admire oneself or another
Terpsichore - [Angela Mills]
The Muse of Dance. Her student must be able to find rhythm in music and actually be able to dance to it.
Power - The ability to duplicate physical actions that have been seen
Thalia - [Alyna Revis]
The Muse of Comedy. Her student must be able to find joy in life and work it into a form of drama.
Power - The ability to make someone feel joyful momentarily
Urania - [Maria Valverde]
The Muse of Astronomy. Her student must be able to learn from the stars and use the knowledge to judge things in their own life.
Power - The ability to see into the far distance (but not through things)
