User ImageNaiero was walking about the bottom of the home tree. It seemed there wasn't much going on today. He looked up through one of the openings in the branches to watch as the clouds danced across the sky. Idly he wondered where the others might have run off to. It was a warm day, but not to terribly warm that his fur, had he been alive, would have clung to him after a few hours, But a nice calm warm day. He glanced around and seeing no one he jumped up into the air and floated his way to the top of the tree. He sat on the branches there. The weight of his chains hadn't been a burden for him in a while and he looked back to his back to see if they were still there. As if they knew he had been thinking about them, He could feel the weight resume on his back. He sighed as he once more turned to the clouds. 'Will anyone come to join me...?' He thought to himself as he continued to watch the clouds.

User ImageTigre sat on a small branch of the Home Tree. It was about halfway up, and for a good reason Tigre thought. He was very frightened of the higher branches. The silly orange Risu had once heard that the souls of Risus who had passed away still roamed the highest, darkest branches of the Home Tree. That did not sound safe to him; he even got nightmares thinking about it.
Still, Tigre liked to think that he was a brave Risu. He often challenged himself to face his fears. The silly orange Risu took a deep breath and bounded up the branches above him. It did not take him long to reach the top. Tigre stopped on a thin branch and closed his eyes. There will be no ghosts when my eyes open. There will be no ghosts... He repeated this mantra several times before he could sum up enough courage.
Tigre opened his eyes.

User ImageNaiero's focus was drawn from the clouds to a Bright Orange Risu that was climbing his way up the tree. He hadn't seen this particular Risu up this high before, but then again He didn't know all of the Risu. He got to his paws and climbed the branches around the top of the tree till he was out of eyesight of the Risu. It was a curious one, it almost seemed to be shaking. He blinked as he stepped out into the open. He was acting just like any normal Living Risu would. Walking on his paws, hoping from branch to branch. He didn't want to scare the newcomer and he knew his appearance tended to do that. He sat down and watched the newcomer. 'I wonder what his reaction will be like....' He thought to himself. He hoped he wouldn't scare the newcomer away and make it so he would never come to the top of the tree it really was quite beautiful up here. He glanced back at the clouds, and it was such a nice day out to be sitting up here.

User ImageTigre looked around slowly. His attention was caught by the beautiful view and he missed the ghostly Risu entirely. The orange Risu lit up with a sudden happiness; he had never seen such a beautiful sky from the lower parts of the Home Tree. Tigre balanced himself on a skinny branch and inched forward, poking his head out from behind the leaves. "Amazing!" He cried, bouncing with glee.
The branch snapped underneath his weight and Tigre tumbled onto a larger branch below him. He landed on his back and the air pushed out of his lungs in a little Oof! sound. He struggled for a moment to unlock his chest and breathe again. While he was doing this, Tigre could have sworn he saw the ghost of a Risu peering at him from a higher branch. When the panic had worn off, Tigre could still see the ghost-like Risu.
He got to his feet and stared at the ghostly Risu. "Are...um...Are you a... ghost?" Tigre asked aloud, his voice trembling slightly.

User ImageNaiero watched the newcomer as he looked around then the newcomer seemed to take in the view. He noticed the new comer bouncing around and took a few steps back. He wasn't quite sure he wanted to meet this newcomer now. He hadn't been expecting the little one to go from shaking to bouncing so quickly. His eyes widened and he blinked a few times trying to understand the newcomer's excitement. As he was watching he saw the branch break and the newcomer fall down. He rushed over to where the newcomer had just been, still acting just like any living risu. He looked down to find the newcomer on a larger branch below him with the wind knocked out of him. He sighed knowing that the newcomer would be ok, then he saw that the newcomer had noticed him. He blinked a couple times before he heard Him ask the question of if he was a Ghost. He didn't want to frighten the little thing, but the opportunity was just to perfect. He couldn't resist the urge.

"You... You can see me?" He said in a surprised voice. His eyes got wide as well, he was acting like he was fully surprised by the little Risu's question. This lasted for all of another couple seconds before he started to laugh. "Yes... I am a Ghost and I guard the Home Tree..." He bowed to the newcomer, "I am naiero...." He waited for the newcomer to respond to him, and he hoped that he hadn't frightened the poor little thing to much.

User ImageTigre let out a little squeak. "You are a ghost? Wow!" He exclaimed. He didn't know whether to be amazed or scared to death. "So you guard the tree... Oh um, just so you know, I've never done anything bad here. I mean, nothing reeeally bad." He said, shifting his weight back and forth between his paws.

User Image Naiero watched the newcomer as he seemed to have mixed emotions about meeting a ghost. He laughed as the newcomer said that he hadn't done anything wrong. He jumped from the branch that he had been sitting on and landed beside the little Risu. He watched him shift his weight for a few moments before he responded.

"I don't mean like that..." He said with a bit of humor in his voice. "I mean that I tend to scare off owls and things that try to make the home tree their home. Things that can be dangerous to the Home Tree and It's inhabitants..." He said as he sat down to look at the orange Risu. He hadn't seen him up here before and it made him wonder if this really was his first time in the treetops. He might have remembered passing this Risu on one of the lower levels of the tree, but he couldn't be sure. He had been at the home tree for a long time and he knew that he couldn't possibly know each and every Risu. He waited patiently for the Other to calm down and to introduce himself.

User Image"Oh! I get it!" Tigre exclaimed. He moved his nose a bit closer and wiggled it, sniffing frantically. I guess he really is a ghost, I can't smell him at all. He thought, grinning a bit nervously. Tigre lifted a paw and held it out to the ghostly Risu. "I'm Tigre. I make my residence in the lower east part of the tree." He said, introducing himself in the formal manner he had been taught.

User Image Naiero was fairly used to the others trying to see if he was actually a living Risu but he still stood a little taller when the newcomer did it. It was a subconscious thing that he did without even realizing it. When the little Risu said that he got it, Naiero smiled. It was much easier when the other understood what he was trying to say and he didn't have to try and explain in further detail. When the little Risu said his name was Tigre and he reached out his paw in greeting to naiero, he tried his best to shake it, but being a ghost his paw went right through Tigre's paw, sending a small chill up his new friend's arm.

"Sorry... I can't really do that well..." He looked down to Tigre's paw with somewhat of a sad expression. He often missed his living body, but he had been dead for quite some time. When he said that he resided in the lower east part of the Home Tree he looked down and in the general direction of the tree. "I will have to stop by when I am around there next time..." He said with a small laugh, after all, pretty much all he did was Hang around the home tree and he liked to have some people to pass the time with. He was happy to be meeting a new Risu and Possibly making a new friend.

((I just realized that I called him aneiron in one of the previous posts, I have changed it now xD))

User ImageTigre felt a chill run through his arm and down his spine. He shivered unconsciously. Note to self: Do not shake hands with ghosts! The orange Risu shouted inside his own mind. "That was so strange." Tigre said, trying to laugh about it. Instead of a laugh, a shaky giggle-bark came out of his mouth.
Tigre grinned at the thought of having a ghost visit his home. Oh the neighbors would go mad. "That would be wonderful! Visit any time you like!" He cried with the sudden enthusiasm that only the young seem to own. Tigre stared at Naiero for a second with a studious expression. "If it's not rude to ask, how come you're a ghost?" He asked almost shyly.

User Image Naiero tilted his head as Tigre made the strange giggle bark noise and exclaimed that it was weird touching him. He had heard it all before. The shivers that his touch sent down other's arms or whatever part of their bodies always tended to creep them out. He never really knew why, but then again, he had never experienced it either. When he had been alive he had kept to himself so if there were ghosts back then, he wouldn't have met them. That was one of the reasons he was still here, He wanted to have more friends and more Risu he actually cared about. He wanted to open up his cold heart to others. He could feel the weight of the chains on his back and tail once more, and his eyes took on a slightly sad expression when Tigre asked how he became a ghost. He sat down and looked at Tigre.

"Well... I was more of a loner when I lived here at the home tree... and well... I never had friends..." He was almost speaking it like he no longer lived at the home tree, but really it seemed almost to him, like it was a different him. "I had gone out into the forest and ventured further than I should have..." He looked back towards the clouds in the sky for a moment before continuing. "I came to this really large wall of rock... I found out later that it was a giant cliff side... But while I was trying to figure out what the large wall of rock was and how to get on top of it..." This was always the hardest part to tell, because he still didn't remember much of it. His death had been quick and painless, and it almost seemed like a dream. "An animal attacked me..." He said looking back to Tigre. "It wasn't painful or anything, and I don't really remember all of what happened... But that's the how..." He smiled now. "The why is because I still have unfinished business!" He said as he stood back up. He floated in the air for a moment before his feet rested on the branch once more. He hoped that Tigre wouldn't feel pity for him, he was much happier now then he had been back then.

User ImageTigre downcast his eyes. He felt not pity, but sympathy. "Unfinished business?" He asked aloud, trying to figure out what that would be. Tigre bounded up and down when he thought he had the answer. "I know! You're here to recruit strong and brave Risu to venture to the cliff, find the animal who killed you and avenge your death!" He nearly shouted with excitement.
"Not to toot my own nut, but you chose the right Risu for the job when you asked me to perform this act of vengeance!" Tigre cried, puffing out his chest with pride. He didn't realize that Naiero had said none of this, he was too honored by the fact that he had been trusted with such a mission. Even if said mission was concocted only inside his own mind.

User ImagePatricia was scampering around in the bushes staying hidden as normal. She tended not to show herself because of her different looks. However, she did notice that a ghost was in the tree. Perhaps she didn't have it so bad after all, but still, she didn't want to be made fun of and tormented because of it. Most of her life was nothing but other risu picking on her harshly for her looks. Even her own family had tossed her out because she was born without ears. She could hear, but they were only holes. They were not visible, but covered up by fur. Plus the fact that she had no teeth kind of made her feel insecure all the more. She watched them with intent and curiousity as to what they were doing. The partridge looking risu crept to the closest bush near the tree to hear the conversation better.

User ImageA brown and white squirrel darted out of the bushes and looked around the area before focusing his attention on the two risu at the tree. "Hey! Who started a party without me? How's it going folks?" If there was a moment of seriousness in the previous conversation then Miko sure shattered it. He wasn't that good at sensing moods and tended to barg into random conversations just so he would not feel so alone. "My name is Miko. Charmed to meet you both. Who might you two be?"
PostPosted: Fri Jan 11, 2013 4:03 pm

User ImageNaiero watched Tigre as he jumped around excitedly. He blinked a few times as Tigre said he was sure that Naiero had come to him to ask him to track down the beast that killed him and take revenge. He tilted his head as he thought about what he had said. Had he asked Tigre to go and find the beast? Did he even care about the beast anymore? He tilted his head back the other way as he watched the happily jumping around Tigre.

"Well.... If you insist...?" He said with a bit of confusion in his voice. He couldn't bring himself to crush the joy he saw in his new friend. Just as he was done talking he saw another Risu bounce up to them and introduce himself as Miko.

"I am Naiero, It's nice to make your Acquaintance..." he said as he turned his attention to the newcomer. He didn't know what else to say, he would let Tigre introduce himself. He floated off his feet once more as he watched the two new Risu he had just met. It was becoming an interesting day. He was meeting new Risu and he was hopefully making friends. It was turning out to be a good day, and who knew what kinds of adventures these new Risu would bring him on. After all Tigre had seemed to decide that he was going on an adventure to take Revenge for Naiero. He would have to accompany Tigre after all, he couldn't let him go alone.

User ImageYan had been sleeping in the higher branches of the home tree when she heard voices. It was normally much quieter up at this height, which was why she chose to sleep here. She opened her eyes and glanced around, but she couldn't see who the voices belonged to. She knew about the dead Risu who still made the tree his home, but sometimes it was hard to make out his rather transparent body, though one of the voices did sound like his.

Naiero, is that you making all that noise? The population of the home tree had been growing of late, for which she was happy. Perhaps soon, when the springtime came, there would be little ones scampering among the branches. She half hoped that she would find a nice male herself, and have a litter of her own to raise.
