For the course of this system, I am going to use the following stats for my character. Since this is just an example, the stats may be higher than a starting character.
Health: 400 Strength: 10 [+5 due to weapon] = 15 Defense: 20 [+30 due to armor] = 50 Stamina: 20 Agility: 15
And here is the combat card for the enemy 1 - 3 : Missed. No damage 4 - 5 : 1000 damage dealt / total defense 6 - 7 : 1500 damage dealt / total defense 8 - 9 : 2000 damage dealt / total defense 10 : 3000 damage dealt / total defense
Health: 250 Armor: 5
At the end of each of my posts, I will do 3 sets of RNG numbers. The first two numbers are for my character. The first number is the amount I multiply my total strength (including weapon) by in order to determine the damage. I then take the enemy's armor and divide it. So a 5 would give me 65 damage. Divided by 5 armor would cause 15 points to the monster.
The second number is your 'crit' number. If it matches the first number, then you get to add your agility score into your strength before doing the multiplying. So if i got a pair of 5's, my crit strength would be 30. (15 strength + 15 agility). This would cause 150 damage. Divided by the 5 armor and we get 30 points of damage to the monster.
The third number is the monster's result number. Reference its chart when determining damage dealt. For instance, if the monster got a 6, it would do 1500 damage to my character. After dividing that number by my armor value, it would cause 30 damage to me.
Your stamina stat does have a role. After every post, your stamina value reduces by 1. Once it hits 0, all your other stats are reduced by 5. This is only for the duration of the current fight and your stamina value resets after each fight.
If there any questions, feel free to post here. I will begin posting my example battle soon.

-~- Elena -~- Elena climbed over rocky surfaces leading towards the dark cave where she was told her target was supposed to be at. In the cave was supposed to be a dust used in alchemical recipes. As she reached the top of the rocky ledge, she smiled as the cave loomed in the distance. It wasn't too far of a trip now. Only a few minutes walk. The one thing that did bother her though is what came along with the quest order. The man who gave her the quest said that there was supposed to be a large wolf near these caves. She took a deep breath and started literally hopping down the rocky slope until she reached the bottom. When she did, she looked around slowly, trying to keep an eye out for the wolf. "Hmm . . . Is he not here?" Elena shrugged her shoulders and went into the cave, walking only for a few moments before she found the lightly glowing dust lingering along the cavern walls.
As Elena started to head back towards the exit, she saw exactly what she was told was supposed to be here. The dark grey wolf growled at her as she came full on into its view. It looked like it was probably just a bit hungry. About right for something in these parts. Elena pulled the large tower shield off of her back and her short sword out of its scabbard. "Come on wolfy. Let's see what you got." Elena's HP: 450 / 450 Wolf's HP: 250 / 250

-~- Elena -~- Maybe Elena was just a bit too overconfident. She lunged towards the wolf swinging her blade wide, trying to cut it open at the waste; however, her slash only barely grazed its skin. The wolf had leaped over her attack, getting behind her and the safety of her tower shield. As the wolf spun around, sliding along the ground as it did, it pounced again, raking its claws along Elena's arms. The strike was deep and Elena only watched as it took a decent chunk out of her HP. She had to be better prepared to take this thing out. Moving like this would only get her killed. Bringing her short sword and shield back around in front of her, she got in a defensive position. This time, she would wait for the creature to come at her before trying to attack it. Elena's HP: 410 / 450 Elena's Stamina: 19 / 20 Wolf's HP: 247 / 250

-~- Elena -~- Elena gritted her teeth as the wolf pounced towards her to try and claw at her. She brought the shield in front of her, blocking the blow and only taking a glancing strike from the beast's claw. As she pulled her shield back, she raised it back up above the wolf and brought it down quickly, slamming the creature to the ground. After she had brought the shield down, she pulled her sword forward and swung at the wolf like a bat swing. The blade slammed into the wolf and sent it backwards, but it's HP barely even moved. "You are a stubborn wolf aren't you. Come on now, just go down for me." Elena brought the shield back around, preparing to try and block the wolf's next attack. It appeared as though being defensive may work out for her. Elena's HP: 390 / 450 Elena's Stamina: 18 / 20 Wolf's HP: 241 / 250

Okay, so I have skimmed through your post, and I'm just here to let you know that my say on this is - No. It's just me though, so you can ask the other crew about their opinion. I'm not saying it's a complete no though, because we have thought of implementing this in the Quest System we're developing so far.
Just so you know, the quest system is being developed so you don't have to type too much words all in all to level up. This just seems to be the issue to me here. Those who are used to the Dice Roll system and are not used to our system are sure to say a lot of things. Typically, people are afraid to get left behind in levels. Well, honestly, I don't care. Not everyone is a hero; and not everyone will succeed. Those who are at the top should have earned it.
I don't need a number generator to dictate the flow of battle for me. I call it as I see it. I don't have time to check everything that's going on in the post. As a roleplayer, your character is none of my concern, unless I get into contact with him/her through RP with my own character.
Feel free to ******** up your own RPC's as much as you like. Have the freedom to write about anything you can, given your limits; which are usually denoted by the numbers on your profile, and at times by us. The crew will be there to ensure that nothing goes overboard.
The guild's still in its early stages, so there is a lot of room for improvement. biggrin Like what I'm saying, I'm just casting my vote. And like I said, it's not a total no. We'll find ways to adopt this into the current one, but we will not overhaul our established system, until we find something better to replace it.
