In honor of the snow blanketed months to come and the cascading warmth of happiness and friendship promoted by the three guild's unity, a massive cake is baked by the employees of Sal's Cafe. Frosted over with creamy, oozing strawberry icing over an equally delicious, moist cake, this sugary treat is the mouthwatering reward most look forward to a year dedicating their time to a guild. Some mouths water a little too quickly and the only attempt to remedy that situation is to nab a bite when no prying eyes are peeking.
Every year, early nibbles of the dessert meant for everyone leaves it in shambles. This is where you come in. Protect it! It is only a hour left until the annual cutting of the cake and it must remain intact.
Instructions: In ten turns (battle turns and item rolls not counted), the bell for the cake cutting will toll. Until than, protect the cake! The cake start off with 100 HP. Having the cake survive with 50 HP or more is a success. Below that benchmark is a failure.
Start by rolling 1 10d, look to what you rolled, and reply accordingly. All 1 10d posts are one turn. If an item roll, roll 1 6d to see what you get. If a battle ensues, roll 1 6d and look to see what damage is done.
When making a mission thread, please title the thread either "[Christmas Mission] -Pokemon Name(s) Here-" or "[!CM] -Pokemon Name(s) Here-". Total experience/Poke yourself and please include the final totals in your last post.
Rank: E.
Rewards for Completion: 50 EXP. 10 Points. A slice of Christmas Cake (gain one level upon eating!)
Rewards for Failure: 50 EXP.
Roll 1 10d. 1-3: Someone passes by and gives you a present. You open it to see your gift! (Make a new post and roll 1 6d to see what you get) 4-6: Nothing happens. Phew! Take a breather. 7-9: A Pokemon lunges at the cake! Quickly take them out! (Make a new post and roll 1 6d to see if you're successful or not.) 10: You find a trusty stick! That will help with batting those hungry mouths away! (+5 Atk bonus. Can only be obtained once. Nothing happens if rolled a second time.)
For items (roll 1 6d) : 1. Cheri Berry. 2. Oran Berry. 3-5. Lump of coal (in other words, NOTHING). 6. 10 Poke.
For battle (roll 1 6d) : 1: Attack misses! 2: Opponent's attack misses! 3: Hit opponent for 5 HP. 4: Crit hit opponent for 10 HP. 5: Cake is bit for 5 HP. 6: Cake is CHOMPED for 10 HP.
Opponents have 25 HP. +50 EXP per defeated enemy.
For teams of two or more: Double the amount of turns for the missions x10 per team member (for example 2 to a team = 20 turns total/10 turns per member). Members also attack opponents simultaneously by rolling 1 6d in turns.

Kamea started on her way to protect the cake. However, just to be sure, she checked her backpack and everything to make sure she had everything squared away. The cake she was carrying was also okay. Good!

Nothing so far had happened to Kamea on her mission to protect the cake. So far, so good! Hopefully, her luck would last!

Unbeknownst to the Smoochum, a Psyduck was walking by. In the spirit of Arceusmus, he decided to give her a gift. Holding out a wing, he handed it to her, and Kamea blinked in surprised.

In his wing, the Psyduck held 10 Poke. He was giving it to her out of the kindness of his heart. What a generous Psyduck! "Thank you so much!" she said, putting the money in her backpack. She then continued on her way, hoping to protect the piece of cake she received.

As Kamea was walking along, she noticed something lying on the ground. It was a stick! "Oh, my," she said, picking up the piece of wood off the ground. "This might come in handy." And so, along with her backpack and the piece of cake she held, the Smoochum took the stick with her. Who knew what use it might be?

Not much had come her way in terms of protecting the cake. Kamea was grateful for that! So, since she had done such a good job with watching over it, the Smoochum decided to sit down and take a rest for a few moments. Resting would do her little body good.

Out of nowhere, a Spheal appeared. He looked hungry, and he made a lunge for Kamea's piece of cake. How rude!

Just as the Spheal was about to go in for the attack, Kamea decided to counter. She ran at him, but he was too quick for her. He side-stepped and she fell to the ground. Drat! Her attack had missed!

Quickly, Kamea picked herself up off the ground. This time, she charged at the Spheal again brandishing her stick. Swinging it, she gave the little round pokemon a good whack, causing him to roll over backward. It was a good hit, and with the stick she did even more damage!

The Spheal was quick to get up, despite the hit Kamea had given him. And once he did, he dashed over to the cake and managed to take a small bite out of it. Drat! What a jerk! That was her piece of cake!

Yet again, the Spheal came at Kamea and her piece of cake. Yet the Smoochum was too quick for her opponent. This was the second time she gave the ice pokemon a good smack with her stick, causing him to roll backward yet again. He seemed to get the hint this time. The cake was hers, and he shouldn't be trying to eat it. Bruised and defeated, the Spheal then waddled off to be by himself, leaving Kamea alone.

After extending her hand out, the baby Fire type dropped an Oran berry into Kamea's hands. How sweet of her! Kamea gave her fellow baby pokemon a hug of thanks, and then carefully slipped the Oran berry into her backpack. She would not forget the Magby's kindness.

A lot had happened in her mission to protect the cake. Two gifts and one pokemon trying to eat what she had gave her word to protect. Tired, Kamea expelled a soft sigh, and sat down for the time being. A rest was much needed, now more than ever.
