A little personal history: I'm just trying to be a good parent. It is actually harder than it sounds. I sacrificed everything for my daughter. I gave her everything I never had. I made her a queen but apparently that made me the villain. I can't believe she could be so ungrateful. No matter. She will soon see the folly of her ways. If she thinks a stint in Wonderland and an assassination attempt will finish me, she has another thing coming. Despite her obstinence, she still needs me. I can't help but care for her, she is my daughter. I will wait and bide my time. When she has no one left, I will help her pick up the pieces. She is my little girl after all.
Roleplay Sample: It was cold as she stared into the pool's fathomless depths. Her heart, wherever it lay, was torn between excitement and dread. Her motherly side yearned to see her beautiful daughter. She was proud of her, who else inspired such fear? Who else was the fairest of them all? Yet the Queen of Hearts in her knew, their meeting would be less than pleasant. There was too much hurt left festering between them. Perhaps a little foolishly, Cora hoped the surprise would overwhelm any lingering hatred in Regina just long enough to connect. Unlikely, but she was the Queen of Hearts, if anyone could do it she could.
