A world much like the normal everyday world you and I live in. Humans have taken the world by storm. Industry flourished, technology is at a height thought unimaginable years ago, the population is becoming too much for the natural resources to handle. Global warming has come to ahead, and yet the city that Alice lives in is strangely cold. It is a city positioned near the coast of one of the major countries. Skyscrapers pack the skies and leave a seedy underbelly for the lower class to scrape a living out of. The upper class lives on top of the buildings, some of them never seeing the actual ground.

Alice is a kind hearted individual. It takes a lot to get her riled up, but when she does reach that point it is hard for her to drop anything. She will find her vengeance. A natural state for her is to be towards the back of a group of people listening to them speak rather than being the center of attention. Investigation into why the human, or any other, psyche does what it does.

Raised in the upper class, Alice has never actually seen the ground of her home world. She was more levelheaded than a lot of her peers were back on Lathia. They all seemed to enjoy putting down the lower class and spending their parent’s money on useless items. To be fair, Alice partook in much of that as well, but she would do it for more intellectual purposes. After college she was able to take over her fathers company and turn it into one of the most successful companies in just a few years.
She was just about to venture off on her own, to start her own company, when she spotted the door that lead to the academy. The door was on her way to work every morning, but leading into air. There were windows on either side of the door she could see out of, and all that was out there was air followed by more buildings. Alice contemplated opening the door for many days before she finally decided she would. Once the door was open she saw nothing like what she thought she would. It wasn’t the muck filled sky that she could see out of the windows. It was a forest. A dark forest lit from behind the farthest tree. It was magical. These trees were enormous compared to the tiny potted trees that she’d been used to seeing. Her intrigue was peaked, thus she stepped through the door.
Alice's career at the academy was lackluster to say the least. She never stuck out in any of her classes, never really brought attention to herself at social events, never participated in any functions put on by the school, never did much of anything. She was a mid-grade student, being struck down a lot by her own extracurricular studies in watching how other students interacted with each other. Despite that, the testing to become a higher class wizard was never something that held her back. She passed most of them with ease. Then again, she did take quite a bit to move from test to test while other students blazed through them. This was because she enjoyed this world quite a bit more than her home world.
After passing her Master test, she decided to visit home once again and was not let down by what she remembered. The city had grown taller, the people more bitter, and the gap between classes grew larger. His own family was now one of the top families in the entire nation, becoming much like royalty. Most of her friends, or what she considered friends at the time, had become much less influential. Alice hated it and promptly returned to the school to tutor and welcome incoming students, never intending to return to Lathia again.
