General Rules of Conduct
1. Be Respectful.
Before any of the other rules comes the most important one. I cannot stress this rule enough. I don't mind if you come to this Guild illiterate, I don't mind if you are your own person, but I do mind if you don't respect those in higher position than yourself. You don't have to totally adore the person, but you need to respect them. On the flip side those higher up should not abuse their position unless they are prepared to lose it. Same rule goes with older members versus newer ones. Treat others how you want to be treated, easy enough.
2. Do Not Spam.
No one likes an annoying twit that doesn't know the difference between sharing their opinion and just being plain ignorant. This rule applies in both the main forum and the C-box. Spamming is a waste of your time and a waste of time for others. If you really desire to spam go open up a note pad and spam till you're ready to stop, then come back here. All right?
3. 'L33t' and Chat Speak is Frowned On.
" hAyE d00dz wUZZz uPP?!?!1?!1 " Quite. L33t speak is quite annoying to try and decipher, so please help others and don't do it. Chat speak on the other hand should be used sparingly. Why sparingly? Because... although I may use a 'lol' or 'pwned' from time to time, there are better ways to express yourself. Though there are places where you can be as relaxed as you want.
4. Don't Hassle the Captain and his Crew.
Amazingly enough, even your Guild's Captain, Vice Captain, and Crew Members have lives outside of this website. So please help us out by not spamming our PM inboxes with repetitive requests to check your application or whatever else. However you may kindly request for assistance if you deem enough time has passed and no one has responded to your work. And no. A few seconds or a couple of minutes is not "enough time". Arguing with us won't get you anywhere, but talking to us and explaining your frustrations will get you everywhere.
5. Keep this Guild Clean.
In other words follow Gaias Terms of Service and Rules & Guidelines. You're all smart enough to know what that means. Stay away from posting images, linking or speaking in-depth about any sexual content. Also refrain from cursing every other word you speak. Okay?
There we go. 5 basic rules to abide by. Simple enough right? Well there are other rules, but these are the foundation for everything else. An infraction to any of these rules can do anything from receiving a simple warning, to even getting you banned. Follow these rules and enjoy your time here within this Guild.

Roleplaying Rules
1. Be aware of the literacy around you. In other words, do your best to try and match the literacy of the others. Don't disrupt the flow of others by joining their characters and then either absurdly raise or lower the level of literacy. Don't undercut.
2. No godmodding. Your character is bound by whatever limits are set by the roleplay. If your character is a typical high school kid, he shouldn’t be able to run at the speed of light. Don’t make an invincible character; nobody likes that, and it isn’t realistic.
3. No power-playing. Basically, no controlling characters that do not belong to you. No moving another person’s character during your turn. Some people might not mind, but it’s best to avoid it altogether. If someone corrects you for accidentally doing it, don’t be offended and simply fix your turn.
4. No meta-gaming. Don’t use OOC knowledge while in character. There are some things that should be kept separately; and meta-gaming can ruin a lot of things, and bounce realism out of the picture.
5. No irrelevant content. Don't throw in song lyrics or random nonsense within your post just to boost your word count. Perhaps a line or two, but the vast majority of what you post should be your own work.
6. No one liners. At least a solid paragraph of five sentences at the very bare bones minimum. Preferred minimum would be at least three paragraphs.
7. You have a maximum of seven days to reply to a thread before others may skip you in the posting order or even auto-hit you.
8. Do not loophole. In other words, don't try to find the little niches in wording just to give yourself a sort of edge because "it wasn't said officially".
9. Your character cannot be in more than one place at a time. To be in another place, your character must leave their current place.
10. Your character does not know or own any skills or items, etc. until a proper update has been given and approved.
