This day comes once a year
A day to spend with family dear
People gather around a tree
To watch children dance and smile with glee

Then you open presents galore
To find toys, games, and so much more
But that's not what Christmas means
Here is what should be seen

On this special day in December
This is what you can remember
Jesus was born on this day
For he was created to show the way

For one day he would die
Take away sins, both yours and mine
So as you gather around the tree
Make sure you make others see

Spend time with family and friends
Celebrate Christmas until the end
Then look up at the sky at night
And smile with all your might

Look up at the brightest star
Remember the wiseman who traveled far
Remember the birth of this special boy
As you open your brand new toy

Look at both and proudly say
To our Lord Jesus..
"Happy Birthday"
