Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

If someone is giving you directions and you're off doing something else, you probably won't know what those directions were. We need to be willing to put down whatever we are doing and listen to God. We need to let Him speak. When we stop relying on our own intuition and start to rely on God's we will actually follow His will for our lives. We listen and then do what God has told us.
