The world of Svijet was never a realm to experience peace. A war reigned for 1,500 years, covering the land in the thick fog of darkness. Many lives were lost and ruined, twisted and warped by the flames of war. Homes, towns, even kingdoms were destroyed by the ever growing hatred that seem to swallow Svijet. Even the land itself became stained with the innocent blood that was spilled, drowning the hopes of the people that the madness would end. The people thought the very world itself would be destroyed before they ever got to experience the dream that was peace.. A shimmer of hope rose, a prophecy received by the High Priests and Priestess of Premazati, Napojiti, and Argarni.
"A child will be born who yields the mark of the dragon. Sent forth by the Dragon Gods, this child will wield the fate of the world in their hands. The child must embark on a journey to collect the blessing of all nine Dragon Gods. With that power, from the core of the world, this child will decide the fate of your world. Salvation, or destruction."
Since the prophecy's reading 300 years ago, every child born was visited by the churches in search of this "mark of the dragon". No mark has been found. With every failed discovery, the world began to lose hope for their salvation. The war continued despite this prophecy, and the land continues to be stained in the blood of the innocent. Seeing enough of the bloodshed, the Dragon Gods sent forth the Child of Aždaja. The child bore the mark of the dragon.
However, fearing the fate of their child, the parents went into hiding. Keeping the mark concealed within their child's clothing and hiding the child's connection to the anticipated prophecy, they live a life of secrecy within a small village. Not only hiding from the fear of their child's fate should the journey be completed, but also the danger of the world. War gives rise to opportunity. Opportunity for power and corruption. There are those in the war-torn world that wish for their power to remain with them, and to remain in control, the world's chance of salvation, or destruction, must be stopped....
