We found the treehouse abandoned in some family's backyard. It belonged to someone's son, but they don't care about tree houses anymore; They have an Xbox 360 and wifi! So we take the liberty of moving ourselves in.
Possibly: - Angry family ("We came home and these freaks are living in our son's treehouse!"). This is the family that owns the treehouse. We've discussed having an elderly couple (crazy cat lady, grumpy old man, spoiled grandson?) - Police? - Pulling pranks
Day 1: We have just settled into the treehouse and decided to throw a giant block party. We have time for some quests. We mention frequently the fact that we were taken from our stories and we have no interest in going back. Some time during the day, the family get some, probably from grocery shopping or something. They see the people in their yard and are horrified. We find a way to beat them back. Preferably by being diplomatic and talking it out… Psh, like that's going to happen! The elderly couple go back into their home, discouraged for the time being. It's obvious they are making plans.
Day 2: We continue another day of awesome partying. We can add some things in here. Suddenly, midday, the elderly couple attack. This might be where they send their hoards of cats after us. Each person that wants to can have a mule that plays a cat. This attack will hit us pretty badly. The whole place will be a mess, things will be broken, people will be maimed, etc.
Day 3: We start by cleaning up the mess from the night before. We can tend to the wounds/bruised egos of the hosts. We plan on taking the treehouse once and for all. There are a variety of ways this can be done. 1. We can pull the ULTIMATE prank. 2. We can lure them into the treehouse and throw a giant party, showing them how much fun they can have. They decide to let us stay. 3. We declare war on the crazy cat lady. 4. We hold one of the cats hostage.
More ideas can be presented. We beat back the family.
Last year, in my room, we had kind of a "quest system". It was part of an event for prizes that the guests could do. For example, in our room, each of our characters had a task we had our guests do. You had to write a love poem to one. Make another one laugh with a joke. For my quest, I would post ingredients for a potion I was making in the thread. They had to PM me telling me they found the ingredient and where it was. When you completed a task, they got a coin. It was just a graphic coin. And once they collected all of them, they get a prize!
