~Anime Hunterson:Girls Oak Room 4~
Anime keeps things tidy, though she doesn't have much to her so it would be hard to make a mess anyway. She doesn't spend much time here, but when she is here the door is usually cracked open. The door is only closed when she's not there or when she wants to be alone.
There is a full bed at the right corner and a walk-in closet on the opposite wall. There is a desk next to her bed facing a window outside. The room is bland, empty, and there are no clothes or anything in the room; just a bed, a closet, a drawer, and a desk.
THE DOOR IS AJAR

Anime walked into her room, annoyed but anxious for the morning to really begin. The sun was coming up, so Anime decided to take some time reading this book. She was going to learn something from it if it killed her.
'There are hidden passageways to each soul. The ability to part ones body, soul, and distance from each other is the magic of space. This ability is much harder for some that have the power than others. A human who can teleport, for example, take up a lot of their minds and could cause aches to their body and warp their mind if not appropriately used. Space element users are found as being demons, angels, or beings with an incorporeal ability such as spirit animals or mosquitoes.'
"Hm. Mosquitoes?"

Anime went back to the book, looking through all she could. There was nothing, except one section of ways to use space. "Wait..." Anime stopped, looking at it for a moment. She remembered reading about other doors before, and going into dreams. But there was another spell... Summoning? How did that work? Apparently, she could open a door and take something out instead of her going in. "The stronger you get, the bigger the thing you can summon... I can't take it from one plane to another, but from the same plane... Still, there's nothing about races." Anime put her head on top of the book and groaned. It was late enough... Surely no one would be at the library. Though determining how it was when she teleported last time, she decided she'd walk.

Back in her new room, she rushed in with the new book she'd found. "Okay you damn tome, you better start making sense right now." She set it next to the other book on the desk, and opened it to the picture of her. There it was still, looking at her. She looked at the other book before putting it away. She sat at her desk. "I don't understand any of these words... There's no alternate language, no notes, nothing." She turned the page and saw the image of her in a dream of a sleeping man. She was in armor and wielding a sword. Well she knew THAT already, that she came from the collected thoughts of humans. She couldn't remember why she knew that, but she did. 'What's that... A bell?' Jeez, the picture even had a bell with it like hers! She groaned in frustration and pounded her fist down on the desk, just to watch her flicker in and out of existence again. "I don't get it... Am I disappearing? Is the illusion... Fading?" She slumped on her chair. So... She wasn't more than an illusion after all. Whatever spell she was, it was fading. That had to be it. This was her disappearing.
Pretty soon, she'd be gone forever.

ZEV COHEN --- Truth is beautiful, without doubt; but so are lies.AGE -- 21.4yrs || HEIGHT -- 183cm || WEIGHT -- 75kg || LOCATION -- in front of Anime's room || MOOD -- nervous Zev was heading to his room when he walked past Anime's door and suddenly remembered what had happened in the library. He went back a few steps and stood in front of her door. "Should I knock?" He shifted his weight from one foot to the other and gripped his bag strap. "Maybe she's gone to bed already. Maybe it was nothing, maybe- I don't want to just go in, right? Would be weird. Plus she doesn't even like me, so I just. I should. She's probably not even in there" Zev turned around and walked a few steps before going back to the door. Ughh. "No, Cohen. You saw her face. In spite of the little bravado act, she was terrified. So. Go there. Knock. Man up." He couldn't just leave her there. Zev took a deep breath to steel himself and knocked twice.

Zev didn't have to knock hard. The door was almost always cracked open when she was inside. She didn't like closed doors, or being in a room that was completely isolated from the outside. The door swung open, but Anime didn't hear it. She was too preoccupied at what was in front of her that she didn't notice there was someone behind. Her image flickered, but she didn't stir. There was a sound, like a whimper, and she wiped her face.
Anime had no idea what was going on with her. She wanted to ask help, but she didn't know if she could really trust anyone. She only knew Zev and Ren who could read the text, and both options, though they were alright people, she only knew them for a couple days. Maybe this was just an excuse, maybe she just really didn't want to know, but she didn't know who she could trust, if this text had anything to do about her weaknesses or... If there was no way to stop this disappearing from happening. Anime's image flickered again.

He wasn't expecting it to be open. Warily, Zev stepped into the room, his left hand gripping the door. His eyes scanned the place - simple, borderline spartan - and he found the girl sitting on her desk, her back at him. Zev gave another step forwards and was about to speak up when... "did she just... disappear for a second?" No. That made no sense. The boy blinked a few times, convinced his eyes were playing tricks on him.
"...Anime?"

When Anime heard a voice she stood up and turned around, disappearing again for almost a second. She relaxed a little, then looked away, wiping her face again when she thought she was being discreet. Her eyes looked like they were crying. "Zev, what are you doing here? If you're lost your room is on the other end of the hallway. I'm kinda busy right now." 'Almighty Anime now he's seen you cry. He's going to give you grief about not being so tough or something. This is the worst time... Though...' Anime hoped she wasn't flickering anymore, 'This might be the last time you see anyone you met here.'

ZEV COHEN --- Truth is beautiful, without doubt; but so are lies.AGE -- 21.4yrs || HEIGHT -- 183cm || WEIGHT -- 75kg || LOCATION -- anime's room || MOOD -- worried Okay, she had definitely disappeared for a moment there. Twinkling. Like a star.
"Wow, Cohen. Who would've known you were a poet?" his own voice snickered in his head, but he dismissed it. Instead, he snorted softly at her comment and smiled softly. "I know" he said, his eyebrows raising a little. Really, catching her crying alone was definitely not part of the plan. Yells, insults, harsh words, sure. He knew how to handle those. But tears weren't his forte. Plus, Anime wasn't too easy to deal with normally, he didn't imagine this conversation going swimmingly when she was in this state. Zev was stepping on thin ice. "I just wanted to see what was going on. You did ran away from the library earlier, for the second time in less than twenty-four hours." he said, decided to ignore the tears - it was what he would've liked her to do, if their positions were reversed - and went to sit at the foot of her bed. His eyes flicked to the book on the table for a moment before going back to the girl. "You do know you can't read Persian, don't you?" he teased, a lopsided smile on his lips. His expression showed no pity - he was sure she would hate that - just an underlying trace of concern hidden under his usual nonchalance.

"Ha ha, you're a laugh riot," She replied, a flash of a smile on her own face. She kept standing, still not at-ease with being vulnerable in front of someone. Zev didn't seem to notice any vulnerability... No, he'd have to be oblivious to not notice. He knew, he just wasn't saying anything. She hated to admit it but she was glad he didn't pay any mind to her state, though he did look a little concerned.
She felt almost bad for thinking he'd take advantage of her now. Even so, she kept up a smirk. "Yeah, I usually don't do that." Thats right, she fought her problems head on. Never backing down. If there was any time, it was now. Just ask Zev to read the text... Go on, ask him.
"Actually, I'm just trying to teach myself a little Persian," she said, looking down at the book, "That reminds me, you said you knew Persian, didn't you? Care to show off while you're here? I know you want to." Anime closed the book and handed it to him. He probably already knew what her game was, but she couldn't bring herself to admit her defeat, not yet.

ZEV COHEN --- Truth is beautiful, without doubt; but so are lies.AGE -- 21.4yrs || HEIGHT -- 183cm || WEIGHT -- 75kg || LOCATION -- anime's room || MOOD -- curious Zev couldn't hold back a smirk as she handed him the book. So very typical. She would never straight up ask for his help, but Zev could tell either way. It didn't really bother him. In fact, in all honesty, he found it a little endearing. Plus, he was too curious to care about that. "Oh, you know me so well already" he said playfully as he took the book, his eyes flicking down to see the title. "Complete Book of Harganoph Dream Demons?" he read, an eyebrow going up in a confused expression. He crossed his legs indian-style and placed the book on top of them. He glanced at Anime for a moment before returning to the tome and opening it on the first page.
<<"All demons from the Harganoph world - "Demon? Okay, that makes sense, I guess" - are made out of the minds of humans collectively forming into one creature to perform a role or purpose in their subconscious. Demons are illusions - "... what?" - that are incorporeal in the real world but live in void in the dream world. Most demons - "what?" - play parts in subconscious as forming into - "illusions?" - people they know, images that are meant to instill an emotion or message, or even just as beings to blame for the fortunes or misfortunes of a human's everyday life. - "illusions as in... illusions?" -
There have been rare cases, however, of strong demon connections to the real world. These few demons are believed in - "..." - so much that they gain consciousness and can act with humans on an invisible, but personal level. An example of this would be the Sandman. Demons can be summoned to the conscious world, - "wait, then Anime..." - but can wreak havoc if not taken care of properly.
There is one reported case of a demon regaining a physical human body and walking among the conscious world, but little is known about this.">>
His eyes shot up as soon as he was done reading the introduction, wide as plates. Did that mean...? Then she...? Was she the one that...? Zev had so many questions and no way to answer them without risking upsetting Anime so, instead, he cleared his throat and looked down once again, his long fingers deftly turning page after page. "So, what was if you wanted to know from here?" he asked with as much nonchalance as he could muster.

As Zev read, Anime sat down on the other side of the bed. She kept listening, some of it she knew already, but most of it...
One case. But little is known about it?
Zev kept reading, but paused at a second or two. Anime flickered a little sometime during the middle, and her eyes drooped. It was only for a bit, but Anime was growing more worried about this. What was happening to her? This still said nothing about the flickering, or the feeling she was having in her gut... The feeling of disappearing. Anime scooted closer so she could reach the book on his lap, not looking at him. Biting her lip and keeping her legs close to her chest, she turned the page to the picture of her and tapped the book like she wanted him to read it. She took back her hand and didn't say a word. There really... Were no words she could think of to say.
She saw the look in his eyes; the shock. Even so, he kept his calm. Normally, she'd hate that. She'd want to see his reaction, and she'd want to watch him express himself. But right now, Anime was almost thankful for once that he was able to act so calm despite his initial reaction. She just needed to know.

ZEV COHEN --- Truth is beautiful, without doubt; but so are lies.AGE -- 21.4yrs || HEIGHT -- 183cm || WEIGHT -- 75kg || LOCATION -- anime's room || MOOD -- worried Zev looked at her but didn't say anything either, simply nodded at her request and looked down. It was the page he had seen earlier, the one with the slightly deformed drawing of what was clearly Anime. He shifted a bit on his seat and, after clearing his throat, started reading once again.
<<"Species: Plane Jumper Demon
A Plane Jumper Demon keeps a solid image from dream to dream and often plays the role of a stranger. They are often also the source of a human's feeling of a restful sleep. Whether they are remembered or not, it is the presence of a plane jumper that causes the feeling of well-rested sleep. They also act as a guard for the living, waking those who need to be woken by a loud noise or the sound of a bell in the dream. Falling is also associated by them, though it is believed that is done by another demon.
Plane Jumper demons are considered the main connection between the sleeping and the awakened world, possible only because of their ruling over the general subconscious that connects every single creature capable of thought like an invisible net. These demons live their entire existences inside this "net", needing the energy the different beings provide into the general subconscious to feed and rest.
[...]
Plane Jumpers are called so thanks to their ability to jump between the different planes of the minds, which makes them able to appear in someone's mind as anything from a fleeting thought to a solid image. There is one single reported case of a demon regaining a physical human body and walking among the conscious world (the "First Plane"). While possible in theory, the case has never been properly documented and there is very little information about it. Those who believe it true consider this the First Plane Jumper. It is thought that it gathered an amount of energy so large (impossible for a regular Plane Jumper) that it allowed it to create a body in which to transplant its own existence, very much like the way Illusion Magic works. It is unknown how this demon, if it exists, feeds or rests, or even if it has the ability to communicate.">>
Zev swallowed loudly, his fingers resting on the last line he had just read, his black eyes staring unfocused at the page. So, this was it. This was her. A... something, created by herself. God, this was so confusing. He glanced at her just when she flickered out of view again. This time it took almost an entire two seconds for her to return, and Zev's stomach clenched uncomfortably.
Some illusions weren't meant to last long. The ones that did needed a constant, semi-conscious influx of energy by their creator. And Anime was... well, she was basically her own creator, if the book were to be believed. And she was running low on batteries.
"OH!" Zev almost jumped from the bed, a thought suddenly popping up inside his head. It was something he had read a long time ago, while studying illusion magic. "A small number of illusions are easier to maintain that a single one. In spite of the apparent contradiction, the explanation is simple. A single illusion would open the energy "faucet" on its creator and the energy needed would pour out. Unless the mage is highly experienced, the energy needed would usually be less than the amount leaving the creator. A second or even a third illusion use that leftover energy, so no more is needed, and they all stabilize each other, needing less of the creator's focus. These secondary or tertiary creations can also stabilize illusions created by a different mage, acting like an energy link between the new mage and the illusion." Thank you, book knowledge! That might just work, at least for a while. He turned his entire body to face Anime and stared straight into her eyes. One hand rested on the girl's thigh. "Trust me for a minute, okay?" he asked and clapped both his hands together. He closed his eyes and breathed out slowly.
"Concentrate. Touch, sight, sound. Touch, sight, sound. Taste and smell irrelevant. Touch sight sound. Touchsightsound"
He parted his hands slowly to reveal a small, black kitten, who mewled contently and jumped from Zev's hands to the girl's lap. It smelled faintly of coffee, and the boy was grateful that, in spite of the misstep, it was nothing foul. He smiled warmly at the new illusion, but his expression turned back to serious when he looked at Anime again. "Secondary illusions can help stabilize other creations, even when they are from different creators." he explained gravely. "I know you don't like it, but you need it. At least until we find another way. So, please?"
[[ OOC: ☁ That turned out longer than I'd expected. Hope my additions were fine. Let me know if I need to change anything c: ]]
