A Bit O' Background
While my account here is new, I'm a returning character on Gaia. I was very active on here about three years ago under a different name, though I was forced to go inactive due to a sudden change in living arrangements. But I'm back, and ready to get into the grove of things!
My interests are in digital art and electronic music. I've always just found something mesmerizing about photo manipulation and sound synthesis. As cheesy as it sounds, I find the idea of creating scenes and sounds that seem to transcend reality magical.
I draw a lot of my inspiration for art from scenes of fantasy and science fiction, and I like to portray designs and scenes that have a bit of a fantasy feel to them.
As for my musical style, I'm not entirely sure where it's heading yet. It's honestly too early to tell. But I draw a lot of my inspiration from the the melodic sounds of house music, but the defined and heavy sounds of dubstep. My favorite artist would have to be Seven Lions, his sound being a kind of model for where I want to start with.
My Graphics Work
I do a mix of graphic design, photo manipulation, and other forms of digital art. My weapon of mass creation is Adobe Photoshop CS5, as per industry standard. Below I felt I should include three different examples of my work.
"In Your Hands"
This first piece is probably my favorite of my photo manipulations in terms of creativity and design, though it's execution could've been much better. I'm honestly not sure where I got my inspiration, especially because a lot of it was made as I went along.
It's A Map
This one was more of an experimental piece. I was looking to learn how to make fantasy maps for use along side with the fantasy Roleplays I was a part of on a separate site, and it came out looking decent. Many of the techniques I learned were from a website called The Cartographer's Guild. A great resource. A great community too from what I could tell, though I never got the chance to get very involved.
"Comes and Goes"
This work was actually made for a close friend, who was going through a hard time. The text is from the song "Comes and Goes" by Greg Laswell, and was made back when I was going by the pseudonym Abstruse Designs.
My Musical Work
There isn't much for me to show here yet, as I'm just starting out. But I will be sure to share any and all progress with you all, looking for whatever critiques and feedback you're willing to give.

What I Hope To Accomplish Here
Now this is almost starting to sound like a resumé, but oh well. I'm here because I want to recieve critiques and advice on my work, as well as provide any and all help I can to anybody else willing to do something similar. I also enjoy getting involved with small, starting communities such as this one. But over all, what I really want is to have fun chatting with people who are as passionate about art as I am.
