If you want some people to look/read/listen to your piece and give feedback,
what can be improved, what was done well, etc., post it here.
If you're not sure how to use a tool or want to know how to make a certain effect,
maybe you can't figure out the secret to drawing hands. (Don't worry, we've all been there!)
This is the place to help and be helped!
Note, however, that a critique means constructive criticism.
What does that mean?
Well, Wikipedia puts it this way:
Quote:
"Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments,
in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one."
In other words, it's offering a suggestion to help a person improve their work by
pointing out what you think can be improved, as well as what they did (or do) well.
This works best if you can offer a direct solution, for example
rather than saying "I think you should work on drawing legs",
say "I think you should pay attention to the structure of legs, generally there should be a bulge at the back of the calf ...".
Share what you've learned through experience!
If you are a sensitive person and do not want mistakes pointed out, that's okay too;
but make sure you say so in your post, otherwise people won't know!
Keep in mind, though, that you improve the most if you know what needs improvement. 3nodding
If you already know what needs improvement but you're just not sure how to get it right,
it's okay to ask for help with that, too! Perhaps someone more experienced can help you figure it out.
Good luck with your endeavors!
