Senior year has come and gone. Finchel is officially over. Brachel is on the rocks, after Brody had sex with Ms. July, and now Rachel finds herself calling up the one person who had promised to be there for her, besides Kurt of course, one Quinn Fabray. Little does Miss Berry know, Miss Fabray has come to a few conclusions about her past actions and about herself during her short time at Yale, and a lot of it has to do with Rachel.

Lucy Quinn Fabray Q U I N N // R A C H E L ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ Quinn stared down at the e-mail she had received from Rachel just days before, telling her that Kurt and Rachel were to be staying in New York for Thanksgiving, instead of coming back to Lima for the holidays as everyone had promised. She had tears in her eyes, and was trying her best not to scream, for her roommate had a guest over, and they were being oddly quiet, so either they were asleep, watching a movie, both, or they were listening to Quinn, who had been keeping a self-monologue over the whole Rachel ordeal for hours now. First, she was angry, and then she figured it was a joke, then she was angry again, and now, she had finally come to the realization that she was not going to see Rachel at all, unless one of them got the balls to hop on a train and visit the other.
However, this was not the week, Quinn had promised everyone else, and she swore to herself she would not break her promise, for anyone, even Rachel Berry. Thus, she closed the e-mail out, for the fifteen-millionth time that day, and turned to do the packing she had been putting off since she received said e-mail. Sighing, she stood and began packing, just as the first of the tears fell from her face. She cried silently as she packed; not exactly sure of everything that she packed, for her eyes, clouded with tears, made maneuver around the room extremely difficult.
Once she had calmed down, she went through everything she packed, and reorganized it, before laying down on her bed and staring up at her ceiling for the longest time. The next thing she knew, her alarm was going off, her roommate was yelling at someone, and light was pouring into the room. Groaning, Quinn sat up, shut the alarm off, and looked around. She had fallen asleep, and her entire body was sore, for she had not moved a muscle the entire night. With the alarm off, Quinn could make out what her roommate was yelling about, apparently her guest from the night before was refusing to leave, like always, and she, like usual, was yelling at them to leave.
Sighing, Quinn looked at the clock; she had about an hour before she had to be at the train station to catch her train. Thus, she packed up her computer and grabbed her phone; before grabbing her bags and heading out of the dorm room, ever tempted to flick off her roommate’s guest, but decided against it at the last minute. She headed out of the dorms and towards the street. She passed a few people she knew and she waved, mumbling a ‘good morning’ or a ‘how are you’ as she went, but ultimately she did not stop and talk with anyone. Quinn Fabray was on a mission and she was going to complete it.
Once she reached the street, she hailed a cab and headed towards the airport, which would ultimately take her to her destination. It would take her fifteen minutes to get to the airport, another ten to get down the stairs, another ten to find the gate she needed to be at, and another twenty to get through the gate and find where her plane was. She had yet to eat breakfast, or have her morning coffee, so she quickly purchased a coffee and bacon and egg biscuit from the vendor inside the gate, and then headed over to wait in line for her train, just like everyone else leaving that morning.
They called her gate number just as she finished her coffee and biscuit, so she threw them away and went to boarding. It would take her about an hour and a half to get from New Haven to Lima, get off the plane, get her things, and head out to where Puck, who had arrived the day before, was waiting for her. They smiled at each other, when Quinn slid into his car, but he could tell by looking in her eyes that she was nowhere near happy. However, when he asked, she simply shrugged it off, claiming she was just tired and needed some sleep, despite it being about ten in the morning.
As the day progressed, Quinn continuously checked her phone, hoping to get a new e-mail from either Rachel or Kurt, but she heard nothing, and by the time, she walked herself to McKinley and stood up on that stage in the auditorium, she had just about given up hope. Thus, she did what she knew best to do, besides cry, she sang. Puck soon joined her, and then the others joined in, and it was lovely, but Quinn missed two voices that should have been there. One in particular she longed to hear.
Once the song was over, Quinn smiled at everyone, holding on to Puck, as if he could help her. “Home for the Holidays, just like we promised,” she said trying hard not to let anyone realize that she missed the two parts of their group that were not there.
They went out to dinner that night, and Quinn informed everyone that Rachel and Kurt were likely staying in New York for the holidays. It upset her, but she did not let it show, instead, she sat there and partied with everyone else, pretending to enjoy herself, even when she was dying inside. As the night ended, and Finn proposed his idea to them, Quinn agreed, paid her bill, and was the first to leave, Puck, being her ride, was next. When he asked what was wrong she replied simply, “Memories.” She then climbed in his car, pulled out her iPod and headphones and began to listen to some random song.
Once she was in the privacy of her hotel room, not wanting to stay with Puck and his family, Quinn pulled out her laptop, and opened her e-mail. She finally pressed the ‘reply’ button on the e-mail she had been avoiding replying too since she got it, the last e-mail from Rachel.
From: Quinn (YaleDramaQ@gmail.com) To: Rachel (BroadwayBound@gmail.com) Re: Home for the Holidays Hey Rach, Sorry it took so long for me to reply, been busy with stuff. I wish you were here in Lima with us. I know what happened between you and Finn was bad, but do you really need to avoid the rest of us too? If you change your mind, I promise I will protect you; I will even get Puck to help. Wishing you were here, Q.
Quinn sent the message and she sighed, lying back on the bed. It was uncomfortable, but in a different way than her bed back at Yale. It had a strangeness to it that Quinn did not like, and it smelled weird, at least her bed at Yale smelled like her, or rather it did before she started spraying it with Rachel’s perfume so that she had some remembrance of home she could enjoy all the time. Her roommate thought her insane when she started doing it, but eventually gave up asking who the girl was, Quinn figured it was after Quinn started her self-monologues about Rachel every time she received an e-mail from the brunette young woman. Quinn really did not mind her roommate knowing, but it bothered her, a bit, that she was so obsessed over Rachel that she had started self-monologues about her, sometimes with her door open.
Sighing, Quinn pulled out her phone and looked down at it, wondering if she would get a text from Rachel or Kurt, or even one of those in Lima, besides Puck, who had been texting her nonstop since he got back to his mom’s place, just asking how she was. Seeing no new texts, besides ones from Puck, she set her phone down on the pillow beside her, and leaned back, deciding she was going to just surf the internet until she got some sort of reply out of anyone but Puck. OOC:: Sorry for such a long reply, 1,338 words, I got inspired. You do not need to write this much, you can, if you want too though, but do not force something you know you cannot do. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ R A C H E L // Q U I N N

Rachel Barbra Berry Get ready for me, love, 'cause I'm a commer, I simply gotta march, Rachel was walking back to her apartment from NYADA. She couldn't believe how evil her teacher Cassandra July was. And also the fact that Brody was with her for the Holiday's was more than enjoyable but still did not forgive him for sleeping with Ms. July. She was such a slut and the truth was that she needed someone to talk to other than Kurt. The one person who she knew would be there for her no matter what. Quinn Fabray. Rachel had wanted for Quinn to come visit her for weeks now and emailed her every other week. She actually had wondered how Quinn had been doing at Yale. Were people actually nice to her or was her life a living hell like Rachel's.Rachel decided that it would be a good idea to text Quinn just once more to see how she was doing. She knew she would probably be back at McKinley or just leaving McKinley and thought maybe Quinn would be able to come to New York if not for long at least for a day it would be nice. The text read,
To: Quinn From: Rachel MSG: Hey Quinn. Sorry I've been so busy lately but it's been hell here. Ms. July is still a b***h so that hasn't changed. I know that u were going to visit McKinley High. I apologize for not being there but I couldn't deal with having to face Finn and I'm pretty sure Kurt was going to have trouble if he saw Blaine. We both decided that it would be best to stay here. I did see Brody over the Holiday's and he was nice to me and everything but I still don't know about him. Anyways rushing back to the apartment since Kurt accidentally left his keys in the apartment this morning. He was rushing due to a meeting that his boss needed him at. It was craziness this morning. Anyways text me back when you get a chance. Rachel
'I hope Quinn texts me back soon, it would have been nice to see her over the Thanksgiving break,' she thought as she sent the text. My heart's a drummer. Nobody, no, nobody Is gonna rain on my parade!

Lucy Quinn Fabray Q U I N N // R A C H E L ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ Quinn had fallen asleep that night without a word from anyone but Puck. Sure, she did get a text from her roommate asking if she was “meeting up and having hot sex with that Rachel girl you keep going on and on about” but none of her friends from high school bothered to text her, even Puck gave up after a while. Quinn figured that Santana and Mercedes were likely having a sleepover with Mike, because they were strange like that, and that Rachel was just too busy to e-mail her back, which happened a lot with Rachel, it was the reason they only e-mailed every other week.
The next few days flew by, she slapped Santana, Santana slapped her, all over a few lies she made up, and a few hurtful things Santana said, but they made up, when Marley fainted and Kitty confessed, proving Santana right, after which Santana proceeded to rub it in Quinn’s face. Quinn did not mind though, because she had been acting like an ignorant b***h, as she had back sophomore year. The New Directions managed to skate by through sectionals, even without Marley, and the group walking off the stage, she figured the thing was rigged, but even so, she knew Finn would have a long fight ahead of him, especially since Sue witnessed everything that went down. She had already decided that she would be going to New York for Christmas, if Rachel did not go back to Lima, because in all honesty, she needed to see that girl, hold her, and do something about her self-monologues, because they had seriously gotten bad over the week back in Lima. Lucky for her, she had managed to them to her head while she was with friends or at McKinley, but once she was back in her hotel room, her mouth moved at one hundred miles a minute, and she sort of felt like Rachel, what with the rambling and everything.
She took her plane home the afternoon before she was due back in class, because she wanted to spend as much time with her friends as possible before leaving. The flight was quick, and she was back in her dorm by six. Once she was inside, she unpacked her things, the last being her computer, the case of which had her phone inside. Turning it back on, she found that she had a new text from her roommate, telling her she would not be seeing her return, because she was “staying with a friend off campus,” which meant she had a hooker and was going to party hard, despite having classes the next day.
Quinn also noticed that she had a text from Rachel, which made her smile, and she quickly opened it, frowning at what she read. She had seen Brody, the male who slept with that b***h Cassandra July, and broke Rachel right after she broke it off with Finn. If she ever met him, well, he had better watch out, because Quinn Fabray did not take what he did to Rachel lightly, even if part of it was Rachel’s fault. Opening a new text, Quinn flopped down onto her bed, taking in the scent of one Rachel Berry’s perfume. The smell was faint, since she had not been there to spray it in a week, but it was still there.
To: Rachel From: Quinn MSG: It is okay; I just got back from Lima, and have had barely any time to check my phone over the last week, because Finn had us busy with the new kids of ND. I understand Rachel, it is too soon, for both you and Kurt, but I really wish you two could have been there. He is trouble Rachel, nothing good can come from even seeing him, so avoid him, but do it politely. How is Kurt doing at work by the way? I keep meaning to e-mail him, but someone always distracts me. My roommate is currently being an idiot again, but hey, she does what she wants, she is an adult. Q.
Quinn sent the text, a sadness looming in her heart. She placed her phone on the pillow, and planted her face deep into it, inhaling as deeply as possible through her nose so that she could smell as much of Rachel as possible without having to get up and spray the bed again. She could feel herself getting slightly high as she repeated this process repeatedly, but sadly, the smell faded away before she got fully high. Sighing, she turned over, and proceeded to stare at the ceiling out of boredom as she waited for Rachel to text back. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ R A C H E L // Q U I N N

Rachel Barbra Berry Get ready for me, love, 'cause I'm a commer, I simply gotta march, Rachel finally got back to her apartment. She knew that Quinn had been busy but she did not seem like she wanted to see her at all. Rachel was trying to decide if she should see Brody or not. After all he was the one who believed in Rachel before Kurt moved in. So he slept with Cassie it was probably just a one night stand. Rachel was just happy that she got into the winter showcase. There was only one other Freshmen who got into the winter showcase in NYADA history. She had to tell Quinn. True there was probably no way that Quinn could make it but at least Quinn had been doing well at school. Rachel laid down on the couch. She was exhausted from practicing and worse she got beat in front of the whole class by Cassie. Rachel smiled when she saw that Quinn had texted her. Rachel knew it was great to have Quinn as a friend. She decided to send a text back to Quinn even though there was so much work to do before the winter showcase. The message read,
To: Quinn From: Rachel MSG: Hey Quinn. Kurt is doing great. He is actually work for vogue.com and has a boss named Isabel. Thanks to her I now look pretty like I do in those pictures, (well somewhat pretty, although not as pretty as you) and finally got rid of my reindeer sweater. That was pretty painful but we need to keep moving on with our lives and not hang onto the past. I apologize if I have already told you some of this before. I have been completely focused on something very important. There is this one event called the Winter Showcase. Only ten students are invited to perform each year and Carmen delivers the letters to each one of the students herself. I did not think that I would even be good enough to get one of those. There was only one other freshmen in NYADA history that received one. I'm shocked that this is happening and am excited. Cassie made a fool out of me in class because she decided to have a dance off with me to "All That Jazz" from Chicago and she was the better dancer but I told her that I was a better singer then she was. I'm excited for the showcase but I need to work extremely hard just to have a chance of being impressive at the showcase. So have you had anything fun happen at Yale? Also I heard that there was this one new Cheerio named Kitty. Did you meet her at all. Tina texted me and told me that she joined Glee Club. I was a bit shocked. Apparently she's like the head cheerio. Anyways have to get back to practicing for another hour and then go to bed. I hope to hear from you soon. Rachel
'You can do this Rachel. You can win the showcase but you cannot get distracted' she thought as she sent the text and started singing again. My heart's a drummer. Nobody, no, nobody Is gonna rain on my parade!

Lucy Quinn Fabray Q U I N N // R A C H E L ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ As she was waiting for a response from Rachel, Quinn had given up staring at the ceiling, and began to pace her room, picking up objects and setting them down in a different place, reorganizing her desk, which really, to an outsider would not look like pacing at all. She had her phone in her pocket so that whenever it went off she would have it on her, but she had a sinking feeling that she would not like what she came across when she did open the text.
This feeling however, proved to be false, for when she finally received the text and read over it, she could not help but smile, her face then fell at the mention of Kitty, a sick feeling churning in her stomach. She tried to shake it off, but it would not go away and she soon found herself in the bathroom, on the floor, throwing up what little she had in her stomach. Her phone was on the floor next to her, and when the retching subsided for a few minutes, she managed a reply.
To: Rachel From: Quinn MSG: Yeah, I knew the first stuff; I meant how he was doing without you-know-who. You made the Winter Showcase, wow, I may just have to come see you, depending on when it is and if I can get off work and do not have homework to do. Yikes! That woman has it out for you. Kitty is a bigger b***h than I am, I should know, I had to mentor her.-shivers- Never again. Well, night, e-mail or text me whenever you get the chance. -Q
Sending the text, Quinn found that another wave of nausea over came her just thinking about Kitty, however, as she leaned over the toilet to puke, she found herself dry heaving. If only she had Rachel there, or even her roommate, anyone that would be able to rub her back, grab her some crackers and water so that she had something to put into her stomach, but no, for once in her life, Quinn Fabray was truly alone. This thought caused tears to run down her face as she dry heaved, which just made said dry heaving worse. Through blurred vision and with an unsteady hand and a shaking body, Quinn sent another text to Rachel.
To: Rachel From: Quinn MSG: Call me, please. No matter when you get this, call me!
As she hit send she hoped and even prayed, something she admittedly had not done in a very long time, since back before senior year to be exact, that Rachel would get her text and call her, because she needed something familiar, someone to tell her she was not alone. She tried to stand as the dry heaving stopped, but she found her legs were much too weak. Thus, she found herself crawling across the bathroom floor, through the small living room, and back to her room. She barely made it inside, the door slowly swinging shut, before she gave up moving, her arms giving out, and her body collapsing onto the floor by her desk. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ R A C H E L // Q U I N N

Rachel Barbra Berry
Get ready for me, love, 'cause I'm a commer, I simply gotta march, Rachel got up the next morning to find her phone going off constantly. She never usually was not a sound sleeper but after practicing all day yesterday she knew that she deserved it. Rachel went over to look at her cell phone. She went over to take it off the charger and read Quinn's text. Was Quinn alright? Did something happen to her where she ended up in the hospital? Rachel knew that she had to quickly get ready and go to class but at the same time had to make sure Quinn was okay. She decided to quickly text Quinn and then call Quinn on the way to class.
To: Quinn From: Rachel MSG: Quinn I am going to call you as soon as I get out the door. Are you alright? Rachel
'Rachel you need to focus on your singing. Make sure Quinn is okay and then get back to work. Being a star is not always easy but in the end it will be worth it.' she thought as she walked to class. Then she quickly dialed Quinn's phone. She hoped that Quinn was able to manage through the night. Given the fact that Quinn's had been seriously injured senior year she knew there is nothing that she would not do for Quinn.

Lucy Quinn Fabray Q U I N N // R A C H E L ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ Quinn’s phone first began to buzz; then, the song “Inside Out” by FM Static began to play, signaling that it was Rachel calling. Quinn, still on the floor by her desk, half asleep, picked up her phone and answered it, knowing by the ringtone who it was. All her friends had a different ringtone, and Rachel’s was the only love song, and the only one by FM Static.
“Rachel? You got my text?” Quinn questioned her voice raspy and her words slightly slurred because she was still waking up. A yawn escaped her lips as she moved to sit up, instantly regretting it, for her entire world began to spin. She grabbed the edge of the desk to steady herself, looking across the room to the alarm, to see that her first class started in about an hour. Sighing, she stood, bracing against the desk as to not fall.
Once her world was no longer spinning, Quinn made her way over to her closet, pulling out a random outfit. She then set it on the bed, so that she could put it on once she finished talking to Rachel. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ R A C H E L // Q U I N N

Rachel Barbra Berry Get ready for me, love, 'cause I'm a commer, I simply gotta march, Rachel was shocked at how quick Quinn was to pick up her phone. "Quinn! Yes I got your text! I'm so sorry I was asleep and my phone was on silent. I have been so exhausted constantly with everything going on. Are you alright? You don't sound well at all. Listen I know this may not be a good time to ask you about this but I would really love to have you here for the Winter Showcase please. And after Christmas I have some auditions coming up and thought maybe if I get into one maybe you would want to come and see it? Please Quinn I really miss you and even with Kurt its really lonely here. Not as bad as it use to be before Kurt was here but still." Rachel said. 'Please come Quinn I really want to see you so badly and I may even love you.' Rachel thought to herself. My heart's a drummer. Nobody, no, nobody Is gonna rain on my parade!

Lucy Quinn Fabray Q U I N N // R A C H E L ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ Quinn smiled at what Rachel said and how fast she managed to say it. She listened to everything, took a minute to comprehend it all, and then set in on answering the young woman on the other line. “It’s okay Rachel, I understand. No, I am not feeling that well, but, the show must go on, and so must I. I will try Rachel, but I cannot promise you anything, not with the combination of school and possibly being sick. I will try though I promise you that. I would love too, and I miss you too. Being away from friends, especially a friend like you is hard. More so when I don’t have anyone here in New Haven that knows me as well as you and the others do,” Quinn answered, her heart crying out for Rachel, as if she were a lost lover, instead of one of Quinn’s best friends and longest crushes, who was talking to her on the phone.
It was torturous, not having seen Rachel, but she had not been able to visit her, often making up stupid reasons as to why she could not visit because she was scared. This time, though she was telling the truth about being sick, she knew she was going, she just was not telling Rachel that, still too afraid of her feelings that she feared what talking to Rachel face-to-face might bring. It was childish and stupid, but then, Quinn had always been a little childish in the love department, considering she had gotten herself knocked up by Puck while dating Finn, and crushing on Rachel, even if she did not know the latter part at the time. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ R A C H E L // Q U I N N

Rachel Barbra Berry
Get ready for me, love, 'cause I'm a commer, I simply gotta march, Rachel was extremely busy the next few days until finally the winter showcase came around. She completely understood why Quinn was not able to make it, but the truth was she really missed Quinn even more. After winning the showcase she decided that the first person she wanted to know about the new was Quinn. Rachel pulled out her iPhone and texted Quinn, "Quinn, I won! I won the winter showcase. I am the first freshmen ever to win it! Hopefully my dance teacher will be nicer to me but I don't know if that is ever going to happen." Rachel said. 'Quinn please text me back soon.' Rachel thought to herself.

Lucy Quinn Fabray Q U I N N // R A C H E L ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ Quinn had not actually been sick at all, it had been the intake of the perfume, mixed with her pacing, and the thought of Kitty and how alike the two were, that had made her feel the way she did. She was correct, for the rest of the day, and until she left for New York the day of the Winter Showcase, she did not have another episode. However, on her way to New York, and to the Winter Showcase, the case of butterflies that flittered in her stomach almost made her puke. She had no idea why she was so nervous though, she was not even going to speak with Rachel face o face, though she did suppose that hearing the woman sing would be just as bad.
After the showcase, Quinn, in tears, made her way out of the building and onto a bench outside. The cool night air allowed her to collect her thoughts, but as her phone went off, alerting her to a text message, she knew it had to be from Rachel. Opening her phone, she was correct, it almost hurt to see the words texted to her, and she quickly stood and headed back into the building. She knew she would be able to find Rachel rather quickly, and she did. The butterflies returned to her stomach, but she smiled brightly and, as quietly as she could, approached Rachel.
Once she was within earshot of the woman, she began to speak, “Congratulations Rachel, it was beautiful. I doubt Cassandra July will ever be nice, but what would I know?” Quinn chuckled as she stopped a few feet away from Rachel, biting her bottom lip, in fear that Rachel would be upset or angry that she had shown without letting her know. It was a childish fear, but Quinn knew that it was possible, and thus she held that fear, unaware that the look on her face made her seem more nervous and shy than she really was. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ R A C H E L // Q U I N N

Rachel Barbra Berry Get ready for me, love, 'cause I'm a commer, I simply gotta march, Rachel worked hard on her schoolwork for the next few weeks after break and finally was in Funny Girl. She knew that she had instant messaged Quinn a lot and that she was suppose to be coming into New York the next day, but Rachel's heart was pounding. Rachel pulled out and texted Quinn, "So what time are you coming in tomorrow again? I need to know so that I can make plans to go out for dinner, just the two of us. I feel like we really need to catch up." Rachel said. 'Quinn please don't be too busy to text me back.' Rachel thought to herself. My heart's a drummer. Nobody, no, nobody Is gonna rain on my parade!

Lucy Quinn Fabray Q U I N N // R A C H E L ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ They had not spoken long at the Winter Showcase, however, over the following weeks and months, they IM’d and texted each other constantly. Quinn was to arrive in New York the next day, and she was bouncing off the walls with excitement and nerves. She had no idea what this trip to New York was going to bring, and she feared the worst while hoping for the best.
She had been in the middle of last minute packing, when her phone alerted her of a text, which she quickly opened and read. It was from Rachel, asking when she was going to arrive in New York the next day. She smiled and checked her train ticket, before starting a reply.
To: Rachel From: Quinn MSG: Sometime around five, so you could meet me at the train station, we could drop my stuff by your place, and then head out again. Remember, I still eat meat, though I have cut back, I cannot get rid of my bacon…it is something I will never do. So, I mean, we can go to a vegan restaurant, if you want, your turf, your choice.
After she sent the text, Quinn finished her packing and set the bags by the door of her bedroom, she left a few things out, her alarm, her laptop, and a few other things. She then took a seat on her bed and pulled something from beneath it, a guitar case. Opening it, she pulled out a gorgeous black acoustic guitar, and began to practice her scales. It was a surprise, her having learned to play the guitar, sure, Sam had tried to teach her while they were dating, but that had not worked out too well, he had been too into doing, other thing, than teaching her how to actually use a guitar. Her roommate, as crazy as the young woman was, had taught her to play, and rather quickly at that, making some perverted joke about Quinn being good with her fingers, which, while true, did not mean her roommate needed to know that. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ R A C H E L // Q U I N N
