planning for the main room's graphics will go here. we can begin by sharing ideas on what kind of graphics we would like to see. any ideas for the room at all can be shared!
what kind of colours or theme do you think would fit our setting?
do you have any preference of artists for the graphics?
things like that!

 I'll turn him into a flea, a harmless, little flea, and then I'll put that flea in a box, and then I'll put that box inside of another box, and then I'll mail that box to myself, and when it arrives..I think for post styles, if they'll be similar to the Starbucks art thread, everyone should have a picture of their "vice" (gambling, narcissism, drinking,etc), an alcoholic drink that represents their character, and a picture of their character of their choice.

That is brilliant! It'll also be nice to spice up variety rather than having their character portraits everywhere in the post biggrin

For our post styles we need to come up with base pics so the art can be done.
Everyone should have a picture of their "vice" (gambling, narcissism, drinking,etc), an alcoholic drink that represents their character, and a picture of their character of their choice.

I've seen that shop you want to use. I always thought that they were very expensive... 80k to 150k for a post style is a lot when you have to essentially find all the graphics and hire someone else to do art of the character first, and get permission for the graphics/art to be used commercially to the extent that all the shop is doing really is arranging the graphics/art all pretty then adding text. Yes it can be argued that we get to keep the post styles ourselves, so it's a good deal! But they won't exactly be usable after the event.

Part of the ball is visually and mentally creating a space for the other users to interact in. And that is partially decent graphics. All things considered, the price is reasonable.
And if is too pricey for the circumstances, I will foot the bill.

Well that makes things a whole lot cheaper because in terms of art and graphics, there are interpretations of Dracula that I completely adore... one of which comes from a computer game thus would have a graphic-y look to begin with and would mean not having to hire someone to make art/graphics to be used in a graphic. And I am going to have to think a bit on the vice thing though because the first thing that comes to mind here is an obsession with Mina Harker and not much else.

I'm going to step in and say that I would prefer the post styles be done without the picture of the character because I have been working hard enough on the art for our room that I would like the art I make to be the final character representations based on our avatars, not based on books, movies, or comics that we find on the net.
We can make the post styles with the image of the vice and the rest of the required fields well enough, I believe.
Plus it will drive me up the wall every
time I see different art styles in the post styles that are meant to be styled the same and used in the same room by the same cast.
Oh, and thievery isn't really a vice. Think along the lines of a sin that the character gives into regularly. If thievery is the crime then something more like greed would be the motivator/vice.

That reminds me. I need to make a final tektek for my character.... and I think that for Dracula, the vice is going to be lust [if that is alright] considering that vampires are often depicted as lusting are delicious-looking people's blood. [It's their fault for looking so attractive and flaunting their veins.] Robayn

I think lust will suit him very well. Authors often use the term "lust" when describing how the vampire desires blood so I think it will be quite fitting. It will be interesting to come up with images for it, though. Perhaps a close up of a mouth on a neck and various blood spatters?
