THIS one is gonna be for my writers!!
Prize: 50K
Rules Below!
The theme will be Trees. Write AT LEAST 14 lines of poetry about trees! They don't have to literarally be about trees, you can make a metaphor comparing say, love, to trees. These MUST be original. I will make sure none of them are plagiarized! enter it in bold like wise...
I tell myself everyday to forget about it. It’s over.
How did s**t change so fast. No longer warm, It’s gotten colder. And the longer I stay away the worse it gets. To bad for me and you, I’ve already called it quits. Even though I don’t really want to. I don’t mind the heat.
You know this already though, you’re my complete. Other half, if you will. But I already know you won’t Understand what I’ve got to explain, so I just don’t.

One. Two. Three.
I remember the days we spent together, underneath the shade in that warm summer's day. The leaves that bud in this weather, oh how I wish they would last forever. Sun rays cast down on me, brushing against me, the colors tickling my fancy.
Four. Five. Six.
The days have become quite boring. Every day is the same old story. Where were you, were you ignoring the changes that were occurring? Have I, in my dulled greens and ruggish browns, become another chapter in your forgotten story? Or should I hurry? To the place where your sun shone the brightest? Where sitting in the sun light, wouldn't be so boring. Not in the slightest.
Seven. Eight. Nine.
The leaves are falling, the colors around me. I watch as they color the world in my rich reds and vibrant yellows. No doubt, it was a feat to have been seen by any fellow. I thought about giving a small fee. Of course, to be collected by me. The small tree. Then maybe, you would turn again to see, how magnificent I could be.
Ten. Eleven. Twelve.
The leaves are now dead. The winter cold brings me dread. How could I see you if you are gone? Stuck in what humans call a bed? I can not wait until the sun awakes once more, a great warrior whom I adore. I person who can hold sun rays for swords. Though now I must rest for the season ahead.
I can say I can't wait to see your striking red. Spring really is, the best reward for my head.

Looking back now, I realize how really high I am at this moment. I observe around me, a raven flying in front of my view, of the overly large, pale circle of a night light. I look down, down....the depths of the tallest evergreens around me pale, to the magnificence of the larger one I now reside in.
Climbing the branches further, I crane my head towards the sky, the stars like a million fires lit in the sky and glowing like a bright ember, down on me as I cling for life, for dear dear life, to this ever green tree that now supports my weight and my life. I consider what a haven this tree could be for me...
how well it could protect my young, for it is a dark green that would camouflage the fledgelings, while my Murder and I were to hunt for food on the dry, brittle ground. This evergreen, so tall and valiant among it's more subtle peers, to protect and to hold the fledglings my mate and I could produce..
The raven swoops one more, getting closer to where I am perched. I realize now, that such a tall, mighty knight of a tree, could not protect what I'd hold most dear... So stepping to the end of the branch, I spread my jet wings and jump, swooping down low as my airfoil catch the air and flap with great ferocity, and I go forward to look for another haven, another evergreen, to protect the dearest thing I could ever possess, another evergreen, that could share in the beauty of the one I had left, another evergreen, to hold and to cherish, as the circle of life took it's hold.

Sometimes real, Sometimes fake, Some are strong Some almost break.
They vary so much, Yet they are the same If you think about it, They aren’t that lame.
They start as nothing, Only a seed. They are barely a fraction, Of what they will be.
They grow and move every living day. Soon they’ll be huge, And green in May.
They have plenty of nice bushy leaves. Until they are orange and red Then the trees will grieve.
Some never die They are used to look pretty. Some are hiding places like Christmas trees.
Some are used to make a cabin All nice and warm a chair in the den.
Tree are different Yet so amazing. They are great The joy they bring. Username: Stefan Lee Salvatore Title of Work: Trees Grade I've give myself: D-

Creeping in, this itch. chattering against your ear, as it brushes past. Stepping forward, Memories litter the ground. Brown and red, crushed unto nothing. It whispers as the wind passes, Destruction creating new beginning. Snow fall glissades, Serpentine in skies breath. Suffocating, Their melodies smothered. Spring will come, When trees sing again.

Drifting through the air A slow dance The green of youth Faded fast
The great brown pillar Can carry no more To long its lasted Summer now gone for sure
It prepares to sleep To dream To hope Those cruel months away Until again It may wake.
