I think that our members would be more open to talking if they knew what to talk about. You could make a fellowship subforum and a prayer subforum. In the fellowship forum, I or you or someone else could create topics of which people could talk about. In the payer subforum, people can post their issues, and others can pray for them; they could also get advice there and comfort.

It'd probably also be helpful if you added a rule somewhere that our members should try and strike up conversations and/or reply to other members' posts as often as possible. Then the threads wouldn't die. I've been trying to follow this rule myself.
Yes, I could definitely start with getting other sub-forums like that up and see if they strike an interest. Hopefully that'll be the case.
I don't necessarily want to make it a rule for people to need to post because even if someone viewed stuff that was posted and it helped them - that would be find with me. I understand that some people may have times where they won't have internet for a while because they are busy, maybe on a missionary trip, or something that occupies a lot of their time. If I made a rule for others to post so much then it'd be a bit hypocritical for me in my case because I'm not able to respond every day or all the time. I could add a, "Please try to be active," but that's about as far as I think I'll go. I only make it rule if and when there is ever crew and administration besides me because that's a higher form of authority in the guild.
EDIT: I put up the new fellowship sub-forum! I moved the fellowship topic there. Feel free to put your own topics as well - as long as they are within all the rules ^_^
