• Description: The Petrified Forest is located down in the southern sections of Egypt, right along the borders to the Sudan. Although for years this area was largely deserts, when Africa became awash in spiritual energy, rampant plant growth began to spread rapidly. Originally much of Egypt was converted to lush greenery. But with the reemergence of the Gods in the world as well, those present in Egypt pushed back the encroaching forests. Their domains were the harsh deserts and burning sun, and in their eyes there was no place for this vibrant new life. The Petrified Forest was once a massive grove of various fruit bearing trees. When the conditions were made inhospitable, the land dried so fast that the withered husks of the trees remained. Over time they have been drained of water to the point that they now seem like solid stone statues of their former glory. There are said to be a few rare plants that survived and even adapted to their new environment, but only the bravest venture into the blasted lands of the Petrified Forest to find them.
