Zubat can have its advantages simply because most people don't train them. But, from what I found, they can be pretty useful to have. Once their friendship is strong enough, it will eventually evolve into Crobat.

Zubat evolves by level to Golbat, but...and here's the thing, most will just box them from here without ever knowing it can evolve one more time. Pamper your Golbat and it will evolve into Crobat. Crobat is a happy Zubat.

Moves that are really good for it, I would teach it...Confuse ray (never gets old that move), acrobatics/aerial ace, sludge bomb, and cut.

If you've ever played Stadium, then you'd know that confuse ray can be both annoying to get hit by, but great to have. Professor Ein uses it against you a lot and traps you that way.

But, this is all the more reason why I would have zubat learn this move. Sludge bomb can poison the foe as well as do damage. I prefer sludge bomb over poison fang because of the looks and because of the amount of times it can be used.

Acrobatics/aerial ace are fast flying moves that are powerful. Now, I dunno if Zubat can learn acrobatics (never tried), but it can learn aerial ace.

I would put the HM cut with this Pokemon because that's like your "surprise". People would expect something useless, but this HM would also give you a good excuse to keep it in your team.

I'm not sure what game you're playing. I think it's a good Pokemon but it all depends on your strategy. Its stats seem pretty balanced. Give it Confuse Ray, Sludge Bomb, Mean Look, and Hyper Beam- Make sure it has a Modest nature and I think you would be set to go. But that's just my two cents though.

Any Pokemon, regardless of the shiny or not are good to raise. Actually, it is one of my personal goals to see to it that all of the Pokemon that I've been raising gets to level 100.

There have been a few now that have reached that.

I have a Palkia, a Sceptile, a Gyrados, an Emboar, a serperior, and a Scolipede.

And that's just from memory. I have quite a few that I have been raising though.

One tip for a good team is to try and get their elements balanced. Like...if you have an electric type on your team, be sure to have the types that can beat it on your team also.

If I had a Raichu, then I would put a Graveler, a quagsire, a steelix, a swellow, and my starter.
