We are the unlucky
Born with skin, hair, and eyes that are unlike that of our neighbors, families, an friends.
Our society hates us for the way we were born.
Some would say we are lucky just to be alive.
But how is life lucky when you are hunted just for the colors you were born with?
Is there anyone who we can turn to?
Can we ever find happiness in this world that hates us so?
Viridian, the country where citizens are born cats. Over time they develop humaniod forms but still retain their ears and tails. When they are weak they revert to their original form for rest. Many citizens of Viridian go their entire lives without reverting back into their birth form. Then there are the Unlucky.
The unlucky are any citizen born with a completely white coloration. Due to a prophecy they are hated and shunned by everyone from birth. They are hunted down in order to protect the country from a threat that most citizens don't even understand fully. Sympathizers are rare, and people willing to protect an unlucky, even for a night, are even rarer.
Where do you stand in this conflict? Are you an unlucky struggling to survive in a world that hates you just for the color of your fur? Are you a hunter trying to snuff out every piece of white vermin in your beautiful country? Or are you the only person in this country that will protect those who could possibly change the way the country is run?
Current Arc
1. A new surge of hunters has appeared in Viridian. As the whites struggle to evade them and survive a single protector tries to track them down to protect them.

Rules: 1. Follow Gaia's ToS and any rules posted by the owners of the guild. 2. At least make an effort to drive the plot. 3. Inform me if you are going to go on an extended absence and please make sure your character is not tying anyone up. 4. Do not kill another person's character without their permission. 5. Try to not create an overly cliche neko character please. Roles Available: Unluckys: Pure white citizens of Viridian. They are often cast out of their homes and are unable to make a living because of discrimination. Many are jaded and accustomed to the hatred that other citizens display to them but all deal with this in their own way. Hunters: Bounty hunters hired by the King to dispose of all unluckys alive in the country. Motivated by both greed and an extreme sense of patriotism they believe unluckys are vermin and gladly torment them when they find them. There are roughly three hunters to every unlucky in viridian. Citizens: Normal citizens of Viridian. They will not help the unluckys but they will not dirty their hands by killing or torturing one either. Most simply shun the unlucky's completely. Sympathizers: Those rare people in Viridian who are willing to stand up for the unluckys and protect them from both the hunter's and the normal citizens. They often live under the radar to better help the unluckys and there is roughly one sympathizer for every ten citizens and hunters in Viridian.

Age: 23
Appearance: Without any of the changes he makes to look like a normal citizen of Viridian Misali appears to be a scrawny, pale boy of about 18. His hair is wild and held back in a small rat tail at the nape of his neck. The most outstanding feature about Misali are his eyes. He is heterocromatic, with his left eye being a neon green and his right being neon blue. He is the epitome of a street rat, dressing in whatever flimsy clothing he can filch out of dumpsters and the fur on his ears and tail are often patchy and matted.
When he is absolutely trying to fit in with the normal population he will cover himself in voluminous robes to disguise his tail and smudge dirt on his ears.
Personality: The best way to describe Misali is skitish. He avoids people whenever possible and when it isn't he trys to make himself seem smaller or meld into a crowd. He is however extremely noble and kind and will go out of his way to help those in a worse situation than him, be they unlucky or not. This extends in him often giving any food he manages to find to less fortunate unlucky's and the few children that are left homeless still.
History: Misali was the runt of a large aristocratic litter however he never got to experience the luxuries of his family. Before he was even fully able to fend for himself he was thrown out of the family home and onto the streets. For the first few years of his life Misali survived because of the kindness of a wandering prophet who found him after he had been abandoned. Once he could fend for himself he struck out on his own to protect her and has been eking out his current existance ever since. Username: Neko Queen Nala

Appearance: Looks like a sliver haired woman with yellow eyes and sliver fur covered ears she also wears swim clothes all the time when in a somewhat human form. But when she regresses back to her born form is covered in pure white fur and her eyes become a sky blue.
Personality: Completely unpredictable
History: Was born a unlucky but unlike most of them her mom and dad knew she would be their only daughter so they told everyone she died at birth. For ten years they helped her learn to change how she looked until the day it was found out she had not died at birth. When others came to kill her she ran like she was told to all her life. After getting away she found a place to live and has since then done what ever she wanted. A five years ago a Unlucky was being chased and while she did not want to get into a fight she asked the people why they sought the girls life. mad at the stupid responses she returned to her birth form and killed them. Since that day she has helped every unlucky that came her way while trying to hide the fact that she herself is a unlucky.

I should probably mention that this is meant to be a group roleplay. If no one joins by the end of the week however it will start with however many people have joined at that point.
If you wish to join after the roleplay has started you will need to contact me before hand to catch up on major plot points and provide a little extra background information on your character.

Misali was hiding. The alley was dark and damp, not the most comfortable place to be, but he had noticed quite a few unlucky hunter's around the area. It was better just to hide for the time being than risk being exposed as an unlucky and possibly killed.
He was always curious about why the hunters never checked alleys. Really, it was practically the first place an unlucky would run to hide. Granted it wasn't good for their health, Misali was a prime example of this at the moment, but at least they were still alive.
His stomach growled way to loudly for his liking, noise was attention and the last thing he needed was attention right now. He was so tired.

Akira walked out of a dinner and noticed all of the unlucky hunters hanging around and acting like they where on a mission. "Must be a unlucky nearby or there would not be this many hunters." Akira thought as she started to walk around "Too many to fight and i know there is one around here but where?" Akira thought noticeing none of them where checking the alleys. "The only safe place is that is dark enough is...." Akira thought walking past the ally Misali was in. "I saw it it was running down south street!" Akira said hopeing they would fall for her trick and go on a wild goose chase. "Now this i can handle!" Akira said as she walked up behind the only hunter that stayed and knocked him out with a simple hit to the back of the head before he got a chance to find out It was her attacking him. Akira then heard Misalis stomach growl. "I know your in there and if you want to live you will come with me." Akira said sounding calm despite she had just knocked out one of her own kind to save a person she knew to be a unlucky.

Misali cursed inwardly as a strange voice said that they knew he was in there. The alley was a dead end, so there was no way he was going to be able to escape other than to face her. Cautiously he stood from his hiding spot behind a large dumpster and warily made his way out of the alley. Seeing the hunter knocked out on the ground and another person standing at the entrance of the alley only made him more nervous, so nervous in fact that he almost bolted right then and there, instead he found himself frozen to the spot staring at the person who had rescued him. She didn't look like an unlucky but then again those that survived for any length of time rarely did. He shook his head slightly, she couldn't be an unlucky, unlucky's were never strong enough to take out a hunter. "Why did you do that?" He asked warily, still not trusting the woman. Yes she had saved him but for what end? For all he knew she could be one of the bounty hunters that sold off their kind to the slave auctions, or potentially just someone who was smart enough to clear out an area before making her kill.

Akira watched as Misali slowly walked out of the ally way. She looked at him noticeing he wouldn't stand a chance if the hunters returned. "I made the false alarm to lower amount of hunters around here and i knocked that one out because hunters just tick me off. Now if you want to live take my hand." Akira said sound worried as she held out her hand. She knew her trick would not stall them for long and she did not want to be around when they came back or the hunter at her feet awoke. for a quick second she forgot to focus on keeping her color as it was and her ears turned pure white just like Misalis even though it only happened for one second and without her intending too it would make anyone question what she was.

Misali's eyes widened when the girl before him seemed to change before his eyes. He must have been hallucinating because her ears changed to the same color as his own. Without really thinking he reached out to her, she had gotten the hunters off of his back, and she seemed to want to help him. "I'm Misali, I...I assume you know a somewhat safe place for us?" Later when they were alone and safe Misali would question how she was hiding her coloring so well. For now his focus was on how to stay away from the hunters and possibly get out of this country without being caught.

Akiras ears twitched as she started to hear the hunters comming back. Knowing she did not have alot of time She picked Misali up and held him in her arms. As she ran threw the town she covered him with her jacket so no one would see she was carrying a unlucky in her arms. Though it was now impossable for Misali to see or be seen the noise going on around them was clear. The hunters had come back and she was running away. After what seemed forever Akira finaly stoped running and took the jacket off Misali. They now stood in the middle of a open area that was surrounded by trees and a small cabin was in front of them. "Would you like to come in and get something to eat?" Akira said as she set him down before turning to open the door. By looking around outside it was clear no one lived near her for at least a mile or more as the sounds smells andsights seem to give off a forest smell. As she opened the door the cabin was dimly lit but it had a safe and relaxing feel to it.

Being carried through the city in Nala's arms like he was currently reminded Misali of two separate instances in his life. The first was vague, as he was still young, but it was the night he was banished from the family manor. The second was after the lonely prophet had found him. She had liked to carry him places, often saying that she had never had children of her own and she wished to coddle one before she died Misali only glanced at the forest around him after Nala invited him in. The house looked so safe and inviting, and his stomach was once again reminding him that he required food soon. "I'm not going to be burdening you if I eat right?" He asked cautiously. He wanted to take her up on her offer, but anyone who interacted kindly to unlucky's or was suspected of being one often lived in poverty. No matter how hungry he was Misali would not take food from someone who had little for themselves. The house was warm and comfortable, much more so than what Misali was used to being in. Even his prophet's home hadn't been this inviting.

Once Misali entered Akira shut and locked the door behind them. "Not at all. I have been able to hide the fact that i help others like myself for years so as far as anyone knows i am just anthere person. I live the life of a normal person because of my parents sacrafice." Akira said as her eyes turned a sky blue while her fur became white. As she walked over to the kitchen like area of the cabin a picture of a one year old with eyes much like his. She passed it and grabed some fruit bars from the cupboard.

The cottage was warm and comforting, and safe, something Misali had not felt in almost his entire life. He took the offered food gratefully, a little shell shocked from seeing Nala's coloration change right before his eyes. Where before he may have pegged her as a calico or tabby citizen now she was quite clearly an unlucky. The picture on the mantle confused him though, it couldn't be her either. "Thank you for saving me. Can I, Can I ask you something kind of personal?"
