• Lóng [Rank 4]: The Lóng, or Dragon, is the highest rank in the Xīn Zhōng Jūn, the New Chinese Army. Although he is not a native Chinese citizen, Balthazar has held that rank for years. But in the Guild of Balthazar, he is often known simply as the Warmaster.
• Kirin [Rank 3]: A high rank in the Xīn Zhōng Jūn and the title of rank awarded to those who have achieved some of the highest honor on the field of battle. They are awarded the right to form small independent Squads who are answerable only to Balthazar himself.
• Shī [Rank 2]: The Shī or Lions are those who have proven themselves worthy of joining a Squad. They receive access to more specialized training than the raw recruits. Often they will begin specialized weapon or body training that focuses them into masters of their style of combat.
• Kŏng Què [Rank 1]: A raw recruit is referred to as Kŏng Què a peacock. This is in part a mockery of the confidence that new recruits often have, working to show off to the rest. But in a den of Lions and Kirin, ruled by a fearsome Dragon, being a strutting peacock is nothing to be proud of. Still, perhaps with training they can rise above.

Description: Something the beginners either learn as a way to protect their squishier allies or something they just do on their own to try and show off.
Effect: The user can use verbal abuse and body language to taunt and coerce a target enemy into attacking them over any of their allies instead. A 6 sided die is rolled and on a result of 5 or 6, the targeted enemy must target the user (or include them as a target in aoe skills) for the next 2 posts. For every Rank they gain, they get another positive roll outcome. This ability can only be used 3 times per battle and has a 3 post cool down between uses.

They will lose that same amount of Stamina after 1 turn per 25 Stamina passes (predetermined from their Stamina on the post Second Wind is used) This may cause them to pass out from exhaustion, though it cannot kill them unless they are also severely injured and not properly treated afterwards.

Description: because of how they have trained their bodies, they can fend off the most dangerous of attacks with them.
Effect: The Fighter can effectively stop and counter an incoming attack by meeting it with a stronger attack of their own. If their attack strength is greater than that of the incoming attack, they can effectively stop and nullify it with their own attack. In some cases, this may result in harming the attacker as well. This ability cannot be performed on attacks the user cannot see coming and cannot be used against something their body could not reasonably withstand striking at (i.e. they can't punch away bullets without a great enough defense to not have the bullets go through their hand) The user may still suffer damage to their attacking limb with this ability and as such is a potential risky move.
