Description: These are some of the smallest of the Earth Elementals. Their bodies are composed of rock, metal and even gemstones. They appear in areas with rich natural resources in the Earth and defend their domains when challenged. They usually move in small groups. [Image © onehundred-monsters]

Boss Enemies
Enemy Name: The Shatterer
Area Found In: ???
Description: The Shatterer is one of the Elder Dragons, the most powerful and influential of their kind. A cruel creature, it views most mortal beings as ants, so far beneath it that it barely notices when it wipes out a colony of them. It brings madness and chaos wherever it goes.

Potential: 2,500

Special Requirements: Must be summoned in the Mission: Descent Into Madness. Cannot be killed, only banished. Once banished, cannot be summoned again, by anyone, for one month.
Word Requirements: 2,500 Words to Banish.

Special Abilities
---Mad World: Strange things occur in the surroundings, gravity, temperature and matter behave strangely around the Shatterer as all physical laws begin to break around him. Every post in an area he receives +50 Strength, Spiritual Strength and Speed.
---Mental Break: Every post for five posts the difference between his opponent's Spiritual Defense and his Spiritual Attack is drained from their Spiritual Defense. If it hits zero they suffer a Mental Breakdown and are unable to use Spirit Abilities for the rest of the battle. Can be used twice a battle with a four post cool-down between uses.
---Imagined Assault: His Spirit Strength +100 can be formed into imaginary assaults. They can be ignored by those with more Spiritual Defense but those with less must destroy them or suffer a 25 point Stamina loss each post as their mind plagues their body to fight off the attackers. He can make one attack per opponent each post.
---Wings of Change: With a flap of his mighty wings, The Shatterer can cause Strength and Defense to switch and Spirit Strength and Spirit Defense to switch. This affects everyone, including himself and lasts for five posts, or until switched again. This can be performed five times per battle.
---Shattering Roar: A roar that spreads out across the area, the power behind which is equal to his Spirit Strength +250. Any spiritual abilities/creatures/constructs actively being used of less power are [Shattered]. They are effectively unusable/unconscious for the next two posts. This can be used three times per battle with a four post cool-down.
---Unkillable: To Banish the Shatterer, his opponents must overpower his Spiritual Defense with their attacks. The amount of power over his Spiritual Defense, is drained from his Stamina. Once his Stamina is at zero he can be Banished with the phrase, "We rebuild what is shattered and cast away destruction. In the name of Solomon we Banish the Shatterer."

Rewards: Roll a 100 sided die.
If 1-10, you gain 20x [Iron], a common grade component.
If 11-20, you gain 50x [Iron], a common grade component.
If 21-40, you gain 20x [Obsidian], a uncommon grade component.

Gems
Amber [Common : +2] - Technically not a jewel, amber is fossilized tree resin that has the yellow-brown color that is its namesake, for jewel crafting and artificing.
Lapis Lazuli [Common : +2] - A blue rock with a vibrant blue color, this semi-precious stone is used to craft jewels and in artificing.
Quartz [Common : +2] - In reality there are many varieties of quartz, though none are considered more than semi-precious. It is a commons stone for jewel crafting and artificing.
Opal [Uncommon : +5] - Generally multi-colored with blues and greens being dominant, opals are closely related to quartz. These less than common stones are used for jewel crafting and artificing.
Pearl [Uncommon : +5] - Produced inside the shells of mollusks, pearls are a somewhat uncommon accessory used in jewel crafting and artificing.
Turquoise [Uncommon : +5] - A mineral with a unique blue-green color, it is often used in jewel crafting and artificing.
Obsidian [Rare : +20] - Actually, obsidian is volcanic glass, but when cut just right it can hold an amazing degree of shine and sharpness. Making it used in weapons as well as jewelry.
Sapphire [Rare : +20] - A beautiful blue jewel, it is prized in jewelry and artificing.
Emerald [Rare : +20] - A beautiful green jewel, it is prized in jewelry. In Jewel Crafting and Artificing, it is able to double the boost if it is directed towards Spirit Defense. Emeralds costs 5x as much to Buy and 2x as much to Sell as normal rare gems.
Ruby [Rare : +20] - A beautiful red jewel, it is prized in jewelry. In Jewel Crafting and Artificing, it is able to double the boost if it is directed towards Spirit Strength. Rubies costs 5x as much to Buy and 2x as much to Sell as normal rare gems.
Diamond [Mythic : +50] - Known throughout the world for their splendor and rarity. They are also excellent magic conductors, raising them to mythic status. Diamonds double their bonus if directed to Strength, Defense, Spirit Strength or Spirit Defense. Items made with diamond's require 5x the Wearer's Defense or Spirit Defense to break. Diamonds are one of the few Mythic components that can be purchased at special locations, at the steep price of 10,000 Terra per Diamond. They have a selling value of 2,000 Terra per Diamond.
Fire Ruby [Mythic : +50] - Rubies that contain the spirit of a fire elemental, they seem to shine and burn with an inner light. Fire Abilities channeled through a Fire Ruby gain a +50% increase in power. This does not take away from the potential boost.

Living Heart [Mythic : +50] - Some creatures possess a hearts that keep beating long after they are removed from the body. These hearts are used in Alchemy, Jewel Crafting, and even placed in weapons and armor. The heart of an animal is thought to hold its life and strength. It allows double the boost to Strength or Stamina because of this.
Enchanted Horn [Mythic : +50] - A horn that contains mystical properties for one reason or another. Various beasts all across the world bear horns which contain considerable power. It allows double the boost to Spirit Strength or Spirit Defense because of this.

The boost to Spirit Strength and Spirit Defense is counted as double when channeling music or sounds through Siren's Heartstrings.
Megalo Skywhale Bone [Legendary : +100] - A Megalo Skywhale Bone is used to complete the quest Great White Weapons, which becomes available after finishing There She Blows! The reward is a custom Weapon made from the bone.

Cloud Blossoms [Rare: +20] - A rare flower that only blooms in areas that are frequently covered in clouds. Their fluffy white petals look similar to clouds. Used in rare potions and recipes. Their properties generally revolve around air, weightlessness and flight.
Witch's Tears [Rare: +20] - A rare plant that is said to only grow where a witch has shed tears. It is extremely poisonous unless harvested just right. Either way, it can be used in a number of recipes and potions, poisonous or not.
Loki's Breath [Mythic : +50] - Named for the fabled trickster god, this plant grows in patches of over a hundred flowers that look identical, but only one is the true Loki's Breath. Very powerful magic, especially illusion, mental manipulation and shapeshifting can be produced with this plant's properties.
