i have a mix of friends, male and female. i interact with all of them on a daily basis, or near-daily.
i've never been attracted. to anyone. not even strangers. either gender.
i hear girls talk about how they're 'whole' only when they 'have a boyfriend (or girlfriend)'

friendships are ok, since you're still able to do your own things.
an actual relationship?
i'd be suffering. even if they held back, it's too hard for me.
i tried. once. didn't like it.
it was a couple of years ago, and i'm almost eighteen now.

Is it possible to be asexual? Yes.
Could you be asexual? Possibly. The definition of asexuality is someone who does not experience sexual attraction. However, only you can decide which label best suits you.

Here is a good place to learn about asexuality. If you feel the label suits you then that's great, if you feel it doesn't then that's great too.

also, there are various reasons other than sexuality for why a person may not feel sexual attraction.
like depression, blahblah. i knew a couple people who thought they were asexual when they were teenagers because they were struggling with their gender identity, had very very little self-confidence, or were in denial of their sexual orientation, and when they dealt with their issues they realized they weren't.
i wouldn't dwell on it too much, to be honest.

not everyone cares about romantic relationships. personally i'm perfectly happy being single, and not once in my life have i aspired to be married or whatever.
