Cherry Blossom Garden ========== The Garden is the main area where all kinds of formal and informal parties are held for the members of Division Two. The Garden is a very beautiful field filled with cherry blossom trees that like to bloom during the summer. There are walkways that serve in guiding the members and guests in and out of the Garden. There is also a small bridge along with a lake which if filled with koi fish of all shapes and sizes. The Garden is well-known in the Sereitei, but not limited to just the members of Division Two. Other Divisions may hold parties in the Garden if they ask permission to the Captain Antonio Reyes. There are some benches and wooden tables on the Garden, but everyone likes to just lay down mats or blankets so that they may sit on the grass. Please keep the area clean and enjoy the view of the cherry blossoms!

Yōsei went to the gardens as told to by her captain. She came alone, possibly being the first one there. She looked at the garden. She had been before. While it definitely wasn’t to attend a party or social gathering of any kind, she would usually come to be another nature alone. She would either sit under the shade of a tree and just read, or sleep, or play her flute or even just draw the landscape. If she was lucky enough, there would be a separate person or group and she could draw them as well. She didn’t have much of a presence so could draw with others knowing.
She looked around from her spot, wondering if she was the first one here. Like she was commanded, she went to gather people. She didn’t find many, just the ones she usually ended up working with. She couldn’t find the other seats and she really hoped that her quick ”Gardens, two hours from now” was enough for them to come Possibly tell others of the squad the message as well. Maybe she should had mentioned Antonio- their captain in her message and it could had held more weight. Yōsei really hope she did well for her new Captain. The last thing she wanted to do is make the man question whether or not she was good enough to be in the fifth seat. Sure it was the lowest seat but she was sure he could pluck out someone and remove from it. Or what he challenged to prove that she had earned it. He didn’t seem that way but they did just meet.
Yōsei sat down under a tree. She was overthinking and she didn’t know why. She could assume it was please she wasn’t use to a social setting like this. Parties, meeting and mingling; what much could she do? She had even gotten concerned about what to wear. After a well needed and desired shower, she actually thought about was this formal or causal type of party. Words she knew from her books and others that had what was called social lives. She didn’t have much of clothes other than her uniforms and her Corps Commander robe that would be something to wear. She went for the obvious and just put on her official uniform, basically what she was already wearing and her Commander robe.
She felt time past by and still no one was present and she didn't sense anyone. Being no one here...maybe she could try and maybe draw something, the landscape was pretty this time of the day. She took out a scroll and her usual ink and scroll case. After making the ink, she use the scroll and started press and direct the black ink on the scroll's paper.

§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲ In a moment, the shadows opened and revealed Eko, with his daughter clutched in his arms. She was looking about, curious at the new area. In reality, Eko never really took Sora to any of the main Division Two areas. Usually, he just took her to Karakura or out into their backyard, to play in their own little garden or with the fish. Perhaps it might have been better not to appear right behind Yosei, just by the use of Flash Step alone...but Eko still wasn't in the mood to think about the consequences of his actions. His eyes were on Sora as he awaited on the Party/Meeting to commence. Sora however, smiled and opened her wings, her little black tail appearing as she fluttered through the air, smelling the air about them with her heightened sense of smell. The little girl fluttered around Yosei as well as the other members, merely looking at the new people. Eko merely stood against a tree, watching his daughter float around while he waited for everything to start.

Yōsei visibly flinched at the sudden feeling of pressure and new presences that were felt as well. By now ,she knew the Lieutenant's presence after her first encounter in the Captain's office not too long ago. So she wasn't shocked the way she was early. In a sense, it was like the acknowledgement of Eko. She turned around to look at him. She stood up and bowed to the man. After all, he was at a higher seat than she was so it was out of respect and years of being taught in the academy, that acknowledge his presence and showed him respect. Hopefully, it would make up for her not so professionally first impression.
Suddenly she was aware of the girl that floating around her. It seemed that her indifference to the world around her, people had started to arrive. Her focus went back to the girl. She appeared with Eko, and from her intel -and by that she meant that people were talking around her without noticing she was there- it was his daugther. But that seemed like gossip so its merit was in question. Not like she was going to ask about the two. It wasn't her concern. She smiled at the girl. She was actually curious of the girl...

Sorry for not posting yet you guys, but I wanted to post as Antonio once all Division Two members were present. Rei, I have asked you to post in this thread for a while now, but you have yet to post anything. I know that you were having your character re-approved, but this request to post here was given even before you asked your character to be evaluated. I talked with Toaster and we came to agreement that I would be allowed to develop a Warning System (everyone is to read the thread). I know that life can be hectic, but that is no excuse to not post for more than a month. You have until Friday December 21th to post in this thread otherwise I will have to give you one warning for inactivity. If for whatever reason you cannot post then you must PM me with your reason otherwise I will give you a warning. This also goes for everyone in Division Two.

I have placed many things in the hands of others...
And I have lost them all.
A bit late and seemingly hurried, Hinata appeared in the garden about ten minutes after Eko. She sat down next to Eko and sighed gently. "Ugh... what a day. By the way, I'll send your shirt back to you later. Haven't had a chance to go back and get one of mine yet... thanks though... I owe you one. So!" She looked around and saw Yosei, presumably, sitting. She hadn't seen the girl before, but knew she was a new Corps Commander. "Oh... I don't think we've met. I'm Hinata Hana, head of the Detention Unit, and Third Seat of Squad Two. You must be ummm... Yosei was it? Nice to meet you. And Eko... you brought Sora! She's grown up since I last saw her! How old is she now?" Her smile was sweet and wide, disarming to most people. She had practiced it especially to melt Eko's Icy demeanor.
But whatever I have placed in my own hands...
That is what I still possess.

Antonio "Tony" Reyes It only takes two shots for my bullet to run through your skull To say he was nervous was an understatement, Antonio was not good with these things. His only saving grace was the fact that he was born with the greatest poker face ever. He was glad that his Lieutenant and Fifth Seat managed to get the word of this little party out to the members of Division Two. Everyone was there and they seemed to be doing just fine, how would he break this atmosphere just to introduce himself? He sighed as he made his way towards the his subordinates. He caught their attention almost immediately; he was wearing the captain's white robes to indicate his rank and everyone in the crowd stopped what they were doing immediately. There were some whispers followed by an eerie silence as everyone watched their new captain walk towards the front probably so that he could face everyone.
His eye was sharp and cold, his features were strong and he seemed to be carrying a scowl as he walked towards the front. His face was intimidating enough, but some people gasped quietly when they noticed his cross-shaped scar on his left cheek. He was wearing a black eye-patch on his right eye, was his eye not okay? Once he finished making his way to the front, he stopped.
Antonio was still nervous so he took another deep breath and then turned around. When he got nervous, his face would turn scarier. "H-Hello, I am Division Two's new Captain...my name is Antonio Reyes..." once he was done he sighed in relief and then waited for everyone to quite down before he continued. "I will try my best to uphold Division Two and I will work diligently. I will also expect the same from each person in this squad." He looked at the seated officers emphasizing his point by glancing at each of them. He already met his Lieutenant and Fifth Seat, but not his Third Seat who was also in charge of the Detention unit of the Onmitsukido.Before becoming Captain, Antonio was in charge of the Detention unit. When his promotion was declared, he was asked to leave the Detention unit, he was reluctant at first, but he didn't have a choice in the matter. So Hinata Hana was his Third Seat, he would have to properly meet with her and see how she was handling her position as Corps Commander. "Everyone please enjoy yourselves...uh, if you have any questions for me then um feel free to come and ask..." He frowned, he wished he had better communication skills.

As soon as Antonio arrived in the garden, Hinata stood and bowed, more out of habit with their old captain than respect for this new one. "Greetings sir! We haven't met before, have we? I'm Hinata Hana. I got stuck with the Detention unit after you made captain... but nothing to do about it now! A bit nervous though? Hehehe... don't worry about it. When we didn't have a captain, I took care of most of the social aspects of the squad, as our own Eko is permanently anti-social. If you'd like, I can assist you with such matters until you become more acclimated to them." She smiled and looked around at everyone else, waiting for them to greet the man.
After they did, Hinata spoke again, "As far as upholding standards... we ARE squad two. It is WE who will strive to uphold YOUR standards. Am I right?" She looked, with a suddenly stark and stern look on her face towards Eko, Tosei, and the rest of Squad two gathered there. Even if she was third seat now, many members of the squad still remembered her days as lieutenant, and as such, respected her. She had beaten their respect of Eko into them after she stepped down to raise her family for a time, and made sure they minded him in her absence. That same respect shone through today for him as well. Soon she would be making sure they respected their new, and hopefully lasting, leader; just as they respected Eko now.
But whatever I have placed in my own hands...
That is what I still possess.

Yōsei looked at the woman that had appeared late to the gathering. The reason given wasn't given yet but since she mentioned her name to be Hinata Hana and that she was head of the Detention Unit as well as the third seat, the red hair could only assume it had that that's what had kept the woman and made her tardy.
Yōsei didn't have to open her mouth- not like she would had to start- when Hinata came over and introduced herself. The smile she was displaying for Lieutenant Eko's 'daughter' had vanished and was replaced with her version of a blank face that was criticized and taken to look like a scowl. It didn't take the woman to bounce between greeting her and the greeting Eko and enthusiastically cooing over the little girl. Yōsei felt herself inching away. Her relief was when Captain Reyes appeared.
Like her, his discomfort of the social gathering wasn't as noticeable as he scowled. His physical demeanor alone speaker volumes of being feared and dominance. The scar and eye patch added to it like how his face reacted as he spoke. Overall: scary. Well scary to the others; but not her. Yōsei was more than familiar with the tell tale signs of his discomfort. His voice didn't match his face. Read faces and listens to voices like she did and one picked up a few things. But she could also pick up that he was truthful. Even in his 'fear' he tried to be welcoming.
She almost smiled at that until Hinata started to talk again. This time to the captain himself. She rambled before offering her assistance. It didn't talk before she was at it again. This time, emphasizing the term of that entire Squad two upholding its standards. Afterwards she proceed to look at them as if daring someone to refute her. Yōsei kept as a neutral expression on her face as she talked. Their third seat positions compared to her own fifth seat kept her from lifting an eyebrow at Hinata.
Part or her started to wonder that being head of the Detention Unit, was her talking some form of torture. She then chuckled as she realized she had actually made a joke.
I doubt we would resort to torture in that unit she told herself, But if there was, I would certainly think such enthusiastic and excessive talking would be a fate worse than death... At least for me it would be...I wonder how long she can hold her breath?
When the captain had finished talking she stood up to address. In her mind, she still hadn't fully apologize for her display -or lack better- of competence. Once facing the man that was taller than me.
"Captain," she said, her voice naturally low in volume, "About earlier, I apologize."
She bowed in front of him, her face looking at the ground.

§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲ Eko's eyes caught the movement of Yosei, whom was bowing to him for reasons hitherto and unknown to him other than the fact that he was Lieutenant. His own head merely moved in the atypical welcoming fashion, as his own daughter floated back over to her daddy, landing on his shoulders with a giggle at Yosei, being caught unawares by her Aunty Hinata appearing out of the middle of nowhere. Eko however, turned to address Hinata first. "You know I don't mind, Hinata." He said, his voice calm but while not full of warmth, sociable, "If anything it'd be the fifth that you owe me." Eko and Hinata's missions were never....fun, needless to say and for the most part she received the bad end of the missions. But Sora was the one who answered her Aunty, jumping off of her daddy's back, little wings flapping, as she landed in front of Hinata. "I'm three!" She said cheerfully, Eko only chuckling at her happy demeanor. She was too good for him...but then again, she helped him when he wasn't feeling his greatest. "Aye, she is three." He confirmed, smiling as Sora leapt back into his arms, a.k.a. his shoulders.
Merely chuckling, for a moment, he looked up at the presence of their new 'captain.' His face immediately turned back into the cold mask that was generally accustomed to his character. What could he say, it was his comfort zone. His orange jacket swayed in the wind, his eyes turning and glimpsing at Hinata as she spoke to the man....social aspects....anti-social? That mulled over a bit in his head as he stepped up towards the man and his partner. "If you're going to insult me Hinata, at least warn me so I can make a retort in due time." Yes...that was Eko's ideal joke to say. It wasn't....good...but it wasn't...bad...okay, it was pretty bad. "She may have dealt with the social features but I was the one that did operations." His eyes glared accusingly at Hinata, not because he was angry...but because, he knew the look on her face. To say that she could be a bully was an understatement...but then again, Hinata knew that Eko could be a b*****d when he desired to be...which was mostly never. That look though cowed many shinigami into listening to Eko, especially on missions or here at the homefront. He was considered a joke for the most part, until Hinata came in and became more or less his best friend, knocking sense into the idiots until Eko finally revealed what he could do.
That mission itself...was quite well known. He, Hinata, and a group of others had been sent on an odd reconnaisance mission of Hueco Mundo, Eko providing the transportation to get there. When they had gotten there...they were assaulted by a great number of hollows, as it seemed they knew they were coming...a tip off. Most were held off until a group of powerful Hollows knocked back their forces, Eko being incapacitated from travel wear. But in that brief moment, the Lieutenant had snapped and within a moment, and in a moment...all Hollow were dead with Eko passing out after creating his last shadow portal, Hinata being the one to carry him home. That was when his Bankai had activated...and that had been when he met his wife...funny how good things came from the bad...
Eko shook his head as he got out of lala land, his eyes piercing through Hinata's as she continued to glare around. Inside though, he hoped this new leader lasted...because from what he had heard, if something happened to this Captain...Eko was to take the Captaincy....something he wasn't too keen about.

She seemed to be quite outgoing considering she didn't mind the silence his presence brought. He felt relieved -at least- that his seated officers did not find his appearance unpleasant. She was quick to lend her assistance to him, but he would need some time before he could accept her offer. He was sure that she meant well, but as the Captain it was his duty to earn the trust of his squad members; he couldn't have someone else force the respect otherwise the squad would eventually fall apart. He raised his hand as if to silence her and everyone else which seemed to work. He nodded at her offer, "I will keep that in mind. Thank you for your hard work, I will be taking care of Division Two from now on." Antonio did not miss the looks that Eko and Hinata were giving each other. They seemed to be close allies which was probably good because it meant that his division had good teamwork between their seated officers. Yousei seemed to be the only one that wasn't completely fitted into the picture (much like himself). She was a new officer from what he heard and was also the lowest in ranking, but also carried one of the most important positions in Division Two. She was awful silent so he glanced at her. Their eyes met and she stood up to apologies to him. Apologies for what? He could hear some murmurs around the squad members like they gossiping. He frowned and then cleared his throat to silence them again. "There is no need..." he crossed his arms, this was not going well.
This was a party weren't people suppose to be all cheery and merry? The only one who seemed to be having fun was the three year old flying around. The introductions were over now so all that was left was to enjoy the rest of the party. Antonio had called for food to be delivered to his squad as well as some drinks (mostly sake) so everything should arriving soon. As if on cue the caterers arrived and they moved through the garden setting up the tables and placing the food and drinks on each table. Once they left and the food was ready, Antonio smiled at least this was going good. "I would like for everyone to enjoy this meal as well as the drinks," he suppose maybe a cheer was in order, but he didn't have it in him to do something like that. He would let everyone eat and relax maybe he could relax too.

Yōsei looked at him... Maybe she did more harm than help since she could hear people talking..She could only assume what they were saying before Antonio silenced them with the clearing of his throat. Hearing the words 'There is no need', she took it as him saying that she didn't have apologize again... She stood up and looked at him. She stared at his eyes for a quick second before she did a short bow before she went to her seat.
Back in her seat, Antonio had spoken again, wishing for the enjoyment of this social gathering as food and drink was brought out. She looked at what was displayed before her. It looked good. Of course being that she trained and hadn't eaten since....last night...and she wasn't picky really with her eating. "Itadakimasu" she said slowly. Before she put the food to her chopsticks, she looked at Hinata and Eko. Here were the third and fifth seats and the Lieutenant sitting by each other. Hinata and Eko seemed chummy -if that was the word to describe them- and she was here being the source of amusement for the little three year old girl. She looked back at her Captain. Surely there was something that could be done. Even with her apology, she felt like something was still needed to be done to show that she wasn't incompetent in her seat.
"Tsurugi-san....Hana-san..." she said, her voice soft... "Will there be an Exhibition at this gathering....? Perhaps... we should....being the Third, Fifth seat and the Lieutenant..."
She felt her throat starting to hurt... so she had to finish quickly... "Just a suggestion for some entertainment..."
She took her cup of tea and sip it, her throat becoming soothed as she did so.

After Antonio told her that he would handle the squad, she smiled and nodded. She listened as everyone said their bit, except Eko, who never really spoke much, and smiled more. They seemed to be receiving him well enough, which she approved very much. His expression and mind seemed uncertain, but his body and his posture, even more so his reiryoku, spoke of nothing but confidence and power. The squad needed that. But the true test was coming for all of them, especially for Antonio.
And then, the food arrived, and Hinata, realizing how hungry she was, almost dove at it. She stopped herself instead, and neatly got herself a plate of food. She carried it back to where she was by Eko, plopping back down and holding out a dumpling for Sora on a pair of chopsticks. After nearly losing a finger to the girl's ravenous bite, Hinata just chuckled a little and shook her head. "It's a good sign, her being hungry. She'll grow up to be as powerful as her father at this rate." Her expression shifted to one of mild amusement as Yosei suggested an Exhibition. She bit into a dumpling of her own, mulling over the suggestion. "Well... Eko has Sora with him... so I don't think he'll be willing to partake immediately. And even if he was... it would have to be both of us versus him." She smiled gently and tapped the handle of her own sword reassuringly.
But whatever I have placed in my own hands...
That is what I still possess.

Aye, she did eat quite ravenously but she would pursue the path that she chose. What she desired. Eko did not want her to fight...but if that was what she wanted then it was all up to her. He could only enjoy the time that he had with her now. But she was strong, and that was something that Eko knew as soon as she was born. A gifted child to be seen immediately. She continued to eat what Hinata gave her, not caring what it was. She was comparable to a garbage disposal. Eko had already eaten, which still was not much but enough for him to be satisfied. But upon talking of an exhibition of sorts...Hinata seemed interested but iffy because of Sora. Yet, perhaps Eko's partner would be surprised once more as the little girl stood from her father's lap and proudly proclaimed, "My daddy will beat ya all! Believe it!" (Sorry, just HAD to add that). Her face beamed with a great pride that Eko only looked at her with a bit of astonishment and amusement. Obviously, he now had to back up this statement or suffer the impending questioning of a three year old.
Sighing, he simply stood as he looked at Yosei and Hinata, Hinata specifically. "Two on one?" He questioned, his hands on two of his three blades, "What is the reason for such a disadvantage on my part" He wasn't one to boast about himself, really. But he wondered why Hinata would find it necessary. He looked, with an inquisitive glance at Hinata and Yosei, as Sora backed away from her father and towards the rest of the guests, who had heard the little girl's proclamation and came to see this 'exhibition' that was rumoured to happen. Eko only looked at the group, still giving him and the other two a wide diameter for this if it were to happen. Seeing Sora's own wings flapping, her tail out, Eko only shrugged as the seals on his back shone brightly before vanishing, his own set of black draconic wings erupting from his back while his tail erupted as well, giving him the look that he was known for, the Angel Hidden in the Shadows...a name reckoned with in Division Two. He was ready for this, if Sora wanted to see him fight...he would fight and tussle...

Sorry for not posting yet guys. I am really sick and I don't have the strength to write a good post, my head hurts too much for me to take the time. I see that everyone wants to give an exhibition match so please just continue to post amongst yourself and when I'm feeling better I'll make a post as well with Antonio commenting on the battle.
