Alister sheathed the sword after he finished cleaning it, stepping over the fallen body of the god he'd just slayed. Now that he'd finished the initial quest, he decided to see if he could find anything useful to salvage and take back to the village. He knew that there wouldn't be a whole lot, since gods didn't really have a lot of useful things he and the other villagers could use, but there was bound to be gold and silver they could melt and make coins out of. And, it didn't take long to find a room with a bunch of gold and silver items. It's not as much as my last mission, but it'll do. I still have a lot left over anyway. Walking over to the items, he found a bag and started to toss the gold and silver into it. As he did, he heard something moving behind him, and a silver chalice fell, making him turn quickly and draw his sword. There wasn't supposed to be anyone else in the castle. Just the god I was sent to slay. Walking over cautiously, he lit a torch and looked in the corner, blinking. It was a kid, but he wasn't a god or any sort of celestial being for that matter. Sheathing his sword, Alister knelt and looked at the kitsune. "What are you doing here?"

Alister sighed as the boy explained why he was in the palace. That meant Alister had just inheritted the boy, though usually the village elders decided the fates of those the slayers brought back. When the boy begged Alister not to hurt him, he blinked. "I'm not going to hurt you. Hurting kids isn't my style. I'm just here to finish a mission and return home." Alister saw a lock on the boy's collar, and he remembered seeing a key around the god's neck. It must belong to the collar. "What's your name, sweetie?" He hadn't meant to call the boy that, but he was cute, and he had a very...shy attitude at the moment. It just sort of slipped.

"Kitsumi? That's a cute name. Not very original considering your a kitsune, but....Cute, nonetheless." Alister stood and smiled down at him, though he blinked when he asked about his mission. "To slay the god of this castle. My people slay unfaithful celestial beings, whether they're gods, goddesses, or just angels." Hearing Kitsume say it would be best to kill him, Alister shook his head. "Sorry, but I won't. You've done nothing to me that deserves to be punished with death. And, if you can't leave the castle, then I'll just find a way to break that spell or whatever it is." Alister returned to getting as much as the items as he could before tying the bag shut and going to the door. He looked at Kitsumi. "Well, come on. I think I know where the key to that little collar is." With that, he walked out of the vault room and headed back towards the main chamber where he'd killed the god.

So, it was the collar. That would make sense. When asked what Alister was going to do with him, the man shrugged. "I'll take you to the village, and the Elders will decide what to do with you. Most of the time we just send people we find during missions back to where they were born, or where they'll be able to live freely." Of course, there were those rare times when God Slayers would feel drawn to a person. Imprinted as many call it. Once they reached the room, Alister blocked Kitsumi's sight. The body was gone, having evapurated into energy, but the blood was still there. Along with the key. Going over to the key, he picked it up and returned to Kitsumi, holding it out to him so he could unlock the collar.

Alister looked at Kitsumi and smiled. "You look much better without that thing on your neck." He held his hand out so Kitsumi could take it, tossing the bag of gold and silver over his shoulder. "I'll take you from this place and to my village if you'd like. We'll figure out what to do then." He offered a kind smile to the young kitsune, hoping he wouldn't feel threatened. Alister had no intentions of hurting the boy, or letting anything happen to him. As of now and until he left, he was Alister's responsibility.

Alister smiled a bit and took out a gem. "It's a few hundred galaxies from here, but it's a quick trip. Watch and learn, my dear Kitsu~" Alister turned, letting go of his hand and setting the bag down. Holding his hands out like he was holding a beach ball, the gem overed between them and a light wind surrounded the two as the gem shattered. The shards flew forward and formed what looked like a circle, and the image of a village formed. "Portals. The greatest magic there is. Shall we go?" He picked up the bag and took Kitsumi's hand again, having noticed he seemed a bit...safer when he took the man's hand before. Stepping forward, he tossed the bag through the portal first and placed a foot through it before looking back at Kitsumi. "It's going to feel weird, but the feeling will fade rather quickly. Though, it helps if you close your eyes and count to ten."

Alister smiled as Kitsumi seemed to sew himself to Alister's side, and he draped an arm around the boy's shoulder. "Don't worry. No one here is going to hurt you. We're actually very kind people." He led Kitsumi to a shop and set the bag on the counter. "More gold and silver that need to be melted? You're one busy guy." "Not really. I only do one job a month. You know I have a tight schedule here in the village." The rather buff man appeared from behind the wall. He was an elf, but he was missing half an ear and his other ear was shredded. "Kitsumi, this is Docid. But, everyone calls him Cid....This is Kitsumi. He was a slave at the palace I was sent to." "Another one, huh? There seems to be a lot of those these past few centuries. Well, come back tomorrow, and I'll have your gold and silver ready to be put in the bank." Alister nodded and gently led Kitsumi out of the hot building, fanning himself off with his hand. He didn't particularly like that place simply because of the heat. "...Are you hungry, Kitsumi?"
