Jackson glared at Andrew, slightly embarrassed. His butt was now bruised and he had gotten his confederate uniform dirty. "Ain't my fault it rained last night. Now stop shakin' ya head at me and gimme a hand here." He could feel himself sink in the mud. Gross.

Andrew's shoulders slumped as he glared at him. He sighed and walked over to Jackson and held out a hand. "Why do I have to help. You did this by yourself..." he grumbled as he focused his attention on the mud. His shoes started to sink a little. Ew.

Jackson accepted the hand and pulled himself up, dripping with mud. "Much obliged." He thanked Andrew as he lamented depressingly on his dirty clothes. "Don't see how I can go out in public like this." He muttered.

Andrew shrugged and wiped his hand on his coat. He arched a brow at him. "Really? You and Alfred used to do it all the time." he smirked and crossed his arms," Making yourselves idiots of course."

Jackson deadpanned. "We ain't the only ones making idiots of ourselves." Then he sighed. "Ya got a change of clothin or somethin?" He honest-to-god could not walk around dirty. Call it whatever you like, but he just couldn't.

"Whatever." Andrew huffed, he rolled his eyes at Jackson,"No. They're all at the house. So go get them yourself." he turns away from Jackson grumbling to himself.

Jackson bristled, but said nothing as he trudged through the mud and the weight of his drenched clothes toward home. "Guess ya could go to town without me then." He called as he walked without even giving Andrew a glance.

"Whatever..." He mumbled and followed after Jackson. He despised their little house. Couldn't even stand the sight of it. It brought too many memories of when the three of them were young and innocent. He bites his lip not looking at Jackson and stares at the ground while trailing behind the other on the way to town.

 Jackson paused to look slightly back at Andrew, before making his way toward a new set of clothing. He wanted to be quick and get it over with. So when he came to the quaint little house he didn't bother saying hello to Alfred as he went to grab a more casual outfit. Though Alfred, naturally, came up to him anyway. "Going out? You and Andrew weren't home when I arrived here." The voice spooked Jackson, sending shivers up his spine.
"...Alfred. When d'ya get in here?"
"Hm, about twenty minutes ago. Awaiting your arrival, of course. Just checking up on my 'kin' after all." A smirk spread across his face. And suddenly Jackson realized this wasn't Alfred.
"Callum. I should've known."
"So, care to tell me how you...?" He gestured toward the dirty clothing on Jackson.
"I fell."
"Oh, did you now? Such a shame. Your uniform must have been saved for special occasions. I take it you were going out then. And where, pray tell, might Andrew be?"
"None of yer damn business."
"Oh, dear brother. Everything around here is my business. I'm guessing he's in town? Interesting. I might go pay him a visit, as well. Since I couldn't surprise him here." Callum waved Jackson bye as he walked out the door. "I suppose I'll see you there soon."

Andrew walked aimlessly around town after Jackson had left to go to the house. He started to let his mind wondered a bit.Thinking about this and that and whatnot. Deep in thought, he bumped into someone. He stumbled for a bit before regaining his balance while he heard a small squeak.
"Oh!" Andrew blinked and glanced at the other who had fallen.
"Ani...?" Ani rubbed her head and looked up to see Andrew.
"Jeffy...?" Andrew sputtered at the name,"Oh, hi Jeffy! I haven't seen you in a while! Where have you been..?" Ani smiled as she stood up and brushed off the dirt on her skirt.
"It's Andrew... just... Andrew..." Andrew groaned and massaged his forehead,"Anywhere else but here. What are you doing here? Usually you're out with your family working the fields." Ani laughed a little scratching the back of her head.
"Well... you know we run off of seeds and stuff for the plantation so it was my turn to go restock on some..." She smiled sheepishly before her expression became serious,"You haven't seen your brother lately have you...?"

Callum felt smug after he left Jackson. He, personally, did not think of Jackson or Andrew as brothers, not like Alfred did. Or at least he tried to tell himself that. They didn't think that way of him either, after all, so why the hell should he?
After a while of walking he saw Andrew and a rather familiar person, and his smirk grew.
"Oh, Andrew~" He called out. "Is that Ani I see~?"

Andrew froze when he heard the voice behind him. He spun around to see Alfred, smiling and all. Andrew growled and stood in front of Ani.
"No. Go away Alfred. You're not wanted here." he glared and crossed his arms. Ani peered out from behind Andrew trying to get a better look at the newcomer. She ducked in fear when she recognized who it was.
