As we know, Halloween is very much upon us. biggrin And as you know, Halloween involves dressing up in costumes. biggrin I think Halloween is probably one of my favorite Holidays. biggrin I hate scary things and scare easily, but I love dressing up in costume and it being perfectly normal. I can wear my Organization coat and walk around being completely normal instead of saving it for a Con. XD I'm on the right >//3//<
Since wearing that coat with the hood up apparently scares people in the dark, I wear it up and am too lazy to go out and buy something different. So I wear it every year for Halloween. biggrin Although one of these years I'm gonna get around to making a Slenderman costume.... But I just sit at home and pass out candy. I enjoy watching the scared looks on peoples faces when they see me, holding in my laughter trying to keep my cool calm collected face, then once they leave and I no longer see them, I'm like

What about you guys my Fellow Aekeans? biggrin
gaia_spoons Do ya dress up for Halloween? gaia_spoons What are you gonna be this year? gaia_spoons Do ya still trick or treat?
New little spoons for ya. ouo gaia_spoons How was your Halloween night? gaia_spoons Any cool costumes you saw? gaia_spoons Have enough candy to last you a month now?

Allow me just to go in sequence here. xD
Do ya dress up for Halloween? When I have somewhere to wear it to, yes. What are you gonna be this year? Sadly probably nothing since I have nothing to go to EGADS what has my life come to~~ emo Do ya still trick or treat? I would if could get away with it. owo;
I love Halloween though. emotion_kirakira I would dress up more often if I had time to make a costume or the funds to buy one.

D'awww I'd wear a costume even if I wasn't going anywhere. ouo I gotta give away candy and I just CAN'T not be in a costume. X3 If it weren't for the fact that I enjoy watching people freak....I'd try to get in some trick or treating. But I usually am satisfied taking the leftover candy we usually end up having. biggrin

It's too bad Halloween falls in the middle of the week, otherwise I'd probably tag along with the kids from my old high school when they go trick or treating for UNICEF. It gave me more of a reason to keep trick or treating (even though I still look young enough to get away with it sweatdrop ) I've always dressed up for Halloween. I'm gonna go to all my classes on the 31st in either my medieval dress or my pirate getup. Not quite sure yet, depends on the weather. This will be my first year not trick or treating. crying

Gosh the first year not trick or treating for me...I felt awkward. XDD Sittin' at home handing out candy. XD It was at that point though that I discovered the joy of watching people being scared. >:3 I like when I see kids come to our house trick or treating for UNICEF, but it makes me feel awkward cause I'm not expecting them ((although I really should >_<)), so I end up having to have them wait while we scrounge up some money. All the while they're standing there and possibly other trick or treaters who are there just for the candy. XD
Also, I'm about the same height as most teenagers who still trick or treat so I probably could get away with trick or treating if I stayed in maybe a group of teens. XD

I freaking LOVE All Hollows Eve. It is THE BEST holiday EVER! Free candy. Costumes. Fall Weather. The chance for me to wear my normal clothes without being stared at (Renaissance garb or I have fancy pirate clothes... or my Chrome cosplay from KHR).
This year I have a trench coat that I'm pinning a bunch of broken watches onto the inside. Putting a Dr Suess hat on my head with a cat tail out the back end and I'm going to be The cat in the Hat who has fallen on hard times in the recession. emotion_awesome
And because of my move out of the city and into the middle of nowhere (which is why I'm rarely on anymore t-t) I can not longer go trick or treating or sit on the doorstep scaring four year olds. The nearest house is half a mile away. -.- But the community does this really cool thing called "trunk or treat" where you decorate the trunk of your car and kids come round and get candy. (yeah I'd rather go house to house too)
So instead I'm wearing this costume to work. They're having a Halloween party for all the members of the country club I work at. employees have to dress up as well ;D /success

Trunk or Treating.....*shivers* I'm sorry I just don't care for that idea. Takes the fun outta going door to door. But I guess if in that kind of situation where the nearest house is 10 blocks away, then yeah it's fine. But of one lives in a neighborhood where the houses are all there and in walking distance, no need for trunk or treating. It just ruins Halloween for me. XD
Also, nice costume idea. XDD

Sadly I don't do the dressing up part much anymore... the last costume I had was a home made thrift shop zombie deal and that was to chaperone the my cousin and her friends while they were trick or treating... Normally I'd be too old, but if you're gonna chaperone trick or treaters I learned people will pass some to you as well...

Back at home, our house is practically the center of our neighborhood, plus it's at an intersection. Apparently we ran out of candy a little early... so even 12 bags isn't enough to handle all them kiddies. Wish I could've been there.... Any amusing scares last night? 3nodding

That had happened to use one year. One year there was about an average amount, the year after hardly anyone, then after that everyone and their grandma was tirck or treating and we ran out of candy. We were searching the house for things to give away like fruit roll-ups and stuff. XD This year was pretty empty. Lost of candy for me to engorge myself in. emotion_omnomnom
Well there was a large group of teenage girls who came up to our house, ((and already walking toward the door were scared of the place)) I was off to the side grabbing candy to give to them and I guess they were looking off to the side when I stepped in front of the doorway and they looked my way and screamed their heads off. XDDD I tried so hard not to laugh in their face. XD The best I could do was have this big grin on my face. XDD Then once they left, I sat down in my chair I had set up and was laughing so much. XD

I ended up going as a gypsy to my work. Kind of awesome. was cooler than walking around a hott dance floor taking pictures in a trench coat, eh? (I got paid to take pictures all night. epic win) Who knew old people liked to (or even could) get down and boogie to this decade's music? They even KNEW "Cupid Shuffle" I was like "whaaaaa?"
And apparently the local church's pastor gave out candy to 250+ kids last night. O_O but then again she lives in the local neighborhood that actually is a suburb.
Way to BE wolfie. I would have loved to ahve seen that. I love scaring people. Were there any other good stories form last night?

I had exactly 0 trick or treaters last night. emo
I didn't expect any, though. I'd already been warned that I wouldn't get any. So, of course, I bought myself a huge bag of chocolate, because I didn't want to be caught off guard in case there were any who showed up at my door.
