Amphitrite

I have only really been known as three things: Amphitrite, Queen of the Seas, and Poseidon's Wife. Of course, others might call me a Water Nymph, so four things?

Well...I'm the queen, so...

I have a lean frame that I've kept for all these years. It contrasts with my tanned husband's buff build nicely. I also have pale skin and deep red hair. I like having fair skin with the red hair, because that seems more common, and more natural. My eye color changes with my mood, becoming a stormy grey when I'm upset, but when I'm happy, they are the clearest blue, like the sea on a bright, sunny day. I only really know because Poseidon told me this once! I wear a necklace that Poseidon gave to me, because it gives me the powers I have, not to mention it makes Poseidon happier, because he can sense where I am and how I'm doing. I like wearing dresses and skirts, because I find pants to be bothersome. I particularly like wearing greens and blues, because everyone compliments my eyes when I wear greens and blues.

Don't tell Poseidon, but I think we might have another child on the way...I could be wrong, which is why I don't want Poseidon knowing! ｈｅａｒｔ ｈｅａｒｔ ↘↘ My two best friends are Hera and Poseidon.
Hera has been my best friend since the first time Poseidon cheated on me. She had attended our wedding, and knew who I was when she saw me sitting at the docks, sobbing. Since that first time that she comforted me, I have been going to her for comfort and companionship, and I've done the same for her over Zeus on several occasions. The two of us formed quite a friendship, though she seems to do more comforting than I do most of the time.
Then there's Poseidon. He's my husband, and I love him dearly, despite his tendencies to cheat on me. I can confide in him with anything, and he's always there when I need him, no matter how much I complain about when he's not home, or when he's busy. Not to mention he's the best dancer under the sea! Triton is pretty good, but Poseidon's much better, and I don't think Triton will ever be able to dance with me quite as well as his father.
Then there's Triton, my only son. He's been there for me through his father's infidelity, taking care of me in his manor when I need the space from his father. He's a good son, and I love him dearly. ｂｒｅａｋｉｎｇ ａｒｍｓ↘↘ There are three gods that I don't care for.
The first is Athena. I have massive problems with her because she won't get over the fact that Poseidon slept with a girl in her temple! Those two have been fighting for as long as I can remember, and it was since there was a competition over who would be the patron god of Athens (I'm sure you've figured out who won that one). Ever since, they've been competitive, and their feud has just been a pain every time Poseidon and I venture to the land.
Next are Zeus and Hades, because they cheat on their wives and make them miserable. Hera and I aren't nearly so bad off as Persephone, because Persephone is trapped in the one location and can't leave it. However, I still feel bad because Zeus has the most faithful wife he could ever have, and he cheats on her almost weekly. Hades is pretty good about cheating, but it still bugs me when he does cheat.

My maternal instincts stretch far and wide, and I always try to help those in need and keep Poseidon in check. He has quite a temper. However, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. If I'm upset or mad over something, it takes quite a while for me to get over it, or at least until I've reaped my vengeance. The only one who can really control and read how my emotions will flow is Poseidon, because I really can't stay mad at him, especially after he kisses me. He's just too sweet and kind. ｇｏｉｎｇ ｂａｃｋ ↘↘ In truth, people don't really know of me, and it's a rare person that actually knows my name. The only thing that people usually remember is that I ran away from Poseidon when he first attempted to court me. I was young, and a bit scared of being married at my age, to be honest. I hid at the far ends of the Earth, in the ocean stream where Atlas overlooked. It took Delphin, one of the older gods, to finally convince me to come back and allow Poseidon to court me. In truth, I regret ever running away from my husband. He has given me several lifetimes of happiness, and I still don't regret a second.
