Ellinora, who commonly goes by Ellie, is a cheerful and affectionate little girl, the kind of girl to share half of her lunch with you if you didn't have one and hug you if you were sad. The young girl has many friends in school, as she can be very persistent in her insistence to befriend someone and make them feel better. Even though she feels this is selfless on her part, she can come across as bothersome or harassing to someone who would rather be left alone.
Her optimism can be contagious and that's how she likes it! She likes making people happy and is content with just making other people smile. She always tries to think the best of people, even those that might want to tease her.
Ellie's habit of trying to shoulder other people's problems can make her a pretty big doormat sometimes, since she'd be willing to take blame or do someone's work for them if she thought it would make them happy or feel better. It makes her more open to be manipulated or stuck in a bad friendship with someone who would only want to use her.
Ellinora hides her own emotional issues with her over-achieving and kind personality. Her mother Emma suffers from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), and Ellie takes her mother's distance personally. Ellie feels rather guilt-ridden at times, like her mother's depression is somehow her fault or a result of her own inabilities.
She fears abandonment by her mom, as she's attempted suicide before. Despite Ellie's grandmother assuring her that her mother's problems are not her fault and that she is a good girl, Ellie can't help but feel part of the problem.
She has an interest in painting, and spends a lot of time painting pictures for and with her mom. Even when Emma is depressed she'll still paint as part of her therapy, and Ellie likes to do as many things with her mom as she can, like swimming, since her mother works as a lifeguard during the warm summer months. She likes to say she'll be an artist when she grows up!
Appearance: Ellinora is lightly tanned and with freckles from days spent playing outside, with peach-blond hair twined into thick braids that come down past her shoulders and sunny yellow eyes. Her style of dress is fun dresses with bright colors, like yellow and pink and orange. She's an average size for her age, and as a playful young girl can often be skipping and dancing to go places.
History: Ellie's mother Emma was a desperate teenager when she got pregnant at 16. She had been getting almost suicidally depressed at times for reasons she couldn't understand, and thought somehow that having a child would make her not feel so awful and alone. Her child's father was another boy in school she barely knew and didn't bother to keep contact with.
Her parents were disappointed and horrified at first that their daughter was a pregnant teenager, but agreed to support her and her child. When Ellinora was born in January, Emma's depression got worse and she attempted suicide. She was institutionalized briefly and diagnosed with depression, and more specifically, SAD, an apparently hereditary disorder that ran on her father's side. Since then, Emma struggled to be a good mother to her young daughter and had her parents help her take care of her child while she sought treatment and finished high school.
Ellie grew up fairly normally with her mother and grandparents, and formed a close bond with them, as they were like second parents to her. Her grandmother cooked with her and bought her paints, and her grandfather played games with her and took her fishing with him and his work buddies.
She's in 3rd grade now and doing fairly well and making friends, and has a pet cat her grandparents gave her when she turned six. She loves her cat Sunny very much and has him follow her everywhere around the house.
Family:
Emma Day - 25 - Ellie's mother, who suffers from depression. Emma lives with her parents, Ellie's maternal grandparents. She is often listless and spends a lot of time wishing it were summer again, and spends all day outside when it is. She's being treated for the depression with light therapy but still struggles with it occasionally. Only during the summer is she like her 'real' self, a fun and loving mother. She works as a lifeguard during the summer.
Ursula Day - 45 - Ellie's grandmother, basically raised Ellie along with her husband, they are very close. She's a warm friendly woman, and Ursula takes the time to assure Ellinora that she is special and loved when Emma can't do so. She works as a librarian at Teufel Elementary.
Charles Day - 47 - Ellinora's grandfather Charles is a sturdy guy who took the role of father figure to Ellie. He's a jokester and a family man, and works as a police officer. Depression runs in his family, though he personally does not have it.

Desires: To bring light to the world around her, to make her mother happy again.
Emblem:  - The sun.
Weapon: Wizard Staff like weapon.
Type of Magic: Ellie's magic is very light and sun based. When she's out during the day, her magic is stronger.
She tends to use her staff as a vector for her attacks, which sends bright, hot balls of light at her enemies. She can use this as a flash to blind enemies as well.
Outfit: Maybe something like a white mage with yellow being the main color and a more sunbursty pattern to the outfit.

WITCH FORM:
Name: NICHTS
Type: Empty Witch
Description: The black witch is a being devoid of light, and like a black hole she sucks out the brightness of everything she touches to try and gain the feelings she once fought for so hard.
Nature: Sad
Appearance: She has a vaguely human looking body that looks like storm clouds with a black hole for a face. She appears very painted looking, with black and cool colors making up her color scheme. Her barriers appear to be desaturated pictures of the sky, covered with black paint in places.
Barrier/Maze: Her barrier takes the brightness of the area around her, turning it dull and unsaturated. Her maze is full of dark tunnels and somber rain clouds. Broken suns litter the ground, and torn up canvasses of the sky are on the walls. Pills and bottles can be seen in small piles in the corners of the maze. It's very cold inside the barrier.
Location: She has taken residence in the Daisy District and attacks people by taking away all their will to live and brightness in their lives.

BLACK OUT - Temporarily blinds everyone in her barrier, is used fairly often.
BLACK HOLE - A temporary attack where NICHTS faces her attackers, that will draw Puellae Magicae inside, does heavy damage but can be avoided as long as you're far enough away from her face when it opens.
Defenses:
BLACK MIST - NICHTS pulls up a shield of black mist, and any magical attacks thrown in will be absorbed and thrown back. Non-magical attacks aren't affected.
Grief Seed: Rain, darkness and sadness are big themes in this Witch.
MINION #1 FORM:
Name: REGEN
Duty: Crying
Description: Regen is a raincloud that cries around the black witch.
Appearance: Grey raincloud with a sad face. Appears to be made of medical journal depression articles.
Attack(s): Regen can turn his rain into hail and pelt intruders with a hard piece of ice.
MINION #2 FORM:
Name: BLITZ
Duty: Being angry
Description: Blitz is the sole source of light in the witch's maze, with his blue flashes of lightning.
Appearance: A blinking cartoonish lightning strike, he's dull blue and allows just a bit of light in the dark witch's mazes. Appears to be made out of articles reporting the suicide of women.
Attack(s): As lightning, Blitz can strike puella magi with a zap of electricity.
MINION #3 FORM:
Name: SCHWARZ
Duty: Painting
Description: Schwarz rips off the colorful canvasses on the walls of the maze and paints over them with his black ink.
Appearance: A black puff ball with large clawed hands and a paintbrush.
Attack(s): Schwarz attacks by tearing at passerbys who dare interfere with his art.
