I personally have never been in a play or tried out for one or anything of the kind. We have a drama class at high school, and I was asked by the head teacher to be in it, but I declined the offer. I can't remember why I didn't want to be in it when the offer was made, but I don't mind not being a part of that class.
I was going to start going to a musical theatre company after school, because I like singing, dancing and apparently I'm not too bad at acting when I put in the effort, but, my family didn't have the time or money to support me going there (other committments regarding my younger sister).

So anyway, back on topic.

I like the acting portion of theatre because I like dressing up as other people and going through scenarios and seeing how everyone reacts. I also like making others laugh, and I've been told by others that I'm a really good actress. (Mostly because of my large mood swings, enthusiasm, and crocodile tears) I like mimicking different accents, and I guess I just enjoy the feel of being someone else for a change.

Are you involved with plays often because you sound as if you're really good and enjoy it very much so. It sounds like such a great feeling to become another person and live as them for even a short time ^_^

Sadly, my school doesn't have a theater class. They used to have an extracurricular activity with film-making, but they canceled that about two-three years ago. Thank you for the compliment! Whenever I'm role-playing or anything of the sort, the way I post is I become my character. I think about what I would do next and carry that out. Most of my characters have a small part of me, so you could say it's easier than role-playing as someone who's nothing like me. I think the reason I like dressing up and acting as other people is because I'm going to be myself for my entire life. Why not try to act out different lifestyles to see how other people feel?

That's such a shame your school doesn't offer those classes! I don't know if it's similar wherever you live, but I live in Australia, and from year 9 onwards here, if there isn't a course we want offered at the school, we can do it through TAFE or Distance Education (which is basically going to a different campus to study - TAFE, or gettin the work emailed and sent to you - Distance Ed). Maybe looking into those sorts of things and seeing if you're able to do those subjects through other means would be a good idea? It's clear you are very passionate about Theatre. We have a drama class at my school but I've never been a part of it and don't really know what it involves sweatdrop
I know eactly what you mean when you talked about your characters having a part of you. I feel that way when I write stories. The main character usually behaves and reacts in the way I would if given the current situation. It's very easy to become attached to the characters I create too and it makes it so hard when I kill one off for an impact because I go through all the crying the readers would go through too haha Yes, I cry when I read, I get really into books and if there is a sad bit, I can't help myself hahaha sweatdrop
