How many of you have access to a tablet or a scanner and are easily able to upload your artworks?

Also, what tablets, scanners or anything else I haven't mentioned, would you suggest to someone who doesn't have access to a good quality one, or nothing at all?

gaia_angelleft I have access to both a scanner as well as a tablet (:

Nowadays, most printers are cheap, good quality, and they often come with a copier/scanner. Mine isn't that great, so unfortunately I won't be able to suggest a good one. emotion_8c

However, for tablet wise, starting out with the Wacom Bamboo ones are the most ideal. They work pretty well, good for beginners, and they're at reasonable prices. I use a Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet, which is the second cheapest in the line, about $70 with tax in my case. It works really well though, but I heard that for drawing, beginner wise, Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet is the best, but a little more expensive.
When you become experienced, you can switch to the Wacom Intuos line, which will make your wallet cry unless you draw for a living. Tablets are pretty pricey.. emotion_kirakira

For digital art, I use Paint Tool SAI and Adobe Photoshop CS3 for editing. Paint Tool SAI is about $50, and Photoshop costs hundreds. LOL. uhm... I torrented both of mine, but I do not recommend doing that. You can just buy SAI, i guess, and get GIMP for editing, which is free. ;D
Hope this helped! (: emotion_bigheart gaia_angelright

I'm excited to be back on Gaia after real life sucked me in too much and i've been soooo darned busy with homework and work. Now that it's Thanksgiving break, I'll be swamped with more of it all and I won't be able to be on as much T^T

When it comes to scanners I'm a bit lazy. x] hehe. If it's just a sketch I'm going to be fixing up and painting in photoshop I just take a picture of it with my phone and email it to myself. But I do use whatever scanner I can when I have a more involved project.

But tablet wise I have a Wacom Intuos4. I love it a whole lot, but any generation of intuos is a little expensive unless you are either really passionate about your art or just have cash to burn. And I use photoshop mostly. ^ ^ But that's only because I got a student deal through my college that it only costs $300. SO if anyones in college that has art programs check to see if your college has a deal on it! When I bought mine I got the whole creative suit and normal prices for that are over $1000. [too much for a poor post college student like me hehe]

I use a tablet, I haven't tried to use a scanner because it can be a bit confusing and it seems a lot of work to use it. : L
A tablet can be easier if you want to just plug it in anything at anytime and doesn't use up a lot of space.
