So, I'm still getting used to using Ezreal. However, I'm having a big problem. I've been using an AD build, but I usually play AP casters so I'm not really into it. A friend of mine has been pressuring me to use a build that he uses for Varus. Though he, personally, has no real experience using Ezreal.
I'm thinking of changing to an AP build for Ez rather than AD. However, I was wondering if anyone here would help me with a build/guide on a good way to use Ez. Either AP or AD doesn't really bother me. I just want to get tips from people who are more experienced with him. So, would you guys mind giving me a few tips? I'd really be grateful.

I personally don't have that much experience in playing Ezreal. You could always search guides on Mobafire. Click here to see a list of them. The ones at the top are rated the best and the ones with the green arrows are the most up to date.

Thanks for the help ^^ I've found something that looks like a good AP guide, which is what I'm going for
If anyone else has any suggestions, though, I'm more than open smile I'm sure you could all be a great help to me, since I'm really still a novice with him

Void Staff with Abyssal Scepter should make a pretty mean combo And a Deathcap if you really want :3
Personally though, I suggest trying the Chalice or Grail simply for the superb mana regen

As I haven't played Ezreal much, and lack the proper knowledge in mid lane I can't exactly help you too much. But, there are guides already out there that you can base your ideas off of. Such as; HereIf you go through their guides section you'll find plenty of different ideas I'd think. 3nodding

Either AP or AD doesn't really bother me. I just want to get tips from people who are more experienced with him. So, would you guys mind giving me a few tips? I'd really be grateful. Ezreal main here, I'd love to help you out.
AD Summoner Spells: Cleanse/Flash or Ignite/Flash
AD Ezreal is a massive bully in lane, an absolute terror in mid-game, but slightly outclassed late-game. If you're playing him right, you'll dominate hard enough in early and mid to carry yourself into late.
Zerker's/Ionians Bloodthirster Trinity Force Infinity Edge Guardian Angel/QSS/Banshee's Veil Last Whisper
Boots Zerker's are cheaper and so you'll usually be getting them. They're just barely outclassed by Ionians. If you find yourself with excess money and a complete build, replace Zerker's with Ionian's.
Bloodthirster Unlike most AD Carries who build IE first, Ezreal should build BT first. The reason being that his Q procs lifesteal, making him easily the AD carry that scales the best off of lifesteal. Additionally, his Q cannot crit and BT provides more raw AD when fully farmed.
Trinity Force The second core item on Ezreal. Phantom Dancer can replace it, but usually Trin is better. You'll never miss a proc thanks to Mystic Shot, and the balance of stats are all utilizable by Ezreal.
Everything else in this build is pretty self explanatory.
Build Order Start Boots + 3 Pots, or Doran's Blade. Go for two early Doran's Blades most of the time. After that, go for Phage + BF or Vamp + Phage + Sheen. It's pretty much personal preference which one you go for. The former offers more dueling power, the latter offers stronger poke and amazing sustain. Finish Trin and BT as soon as possible. Which one you finish first is also a matter of preference, though I usually find myself going Phage + Sheen + BT before finishing the Trinity.
Now that the core build is done, go for whatever you need. Need tankiness? Go for GA. Having trouble with an AP caster? Go for QSS or Banshee's. Need damage? Infinity Edge. Last Whisper will almost always be your last item.
Skill Order Max R whenever possible, of course. Max Q first. The nerf to W and the buff to Q's mana cost makes this the best choice. Max W second if you're finding yourself fighting the enemy AD carry often. Max E second if you need to engage/disengage often.
Always get a point in E at level 2.
AP Ignite + Flash
Ionians Chalice/Archangel's Rabadon's Lich Bane Void/Abyssal/Gunblade Situational
AP Ezreal is extraordinarily squishy, and his early game is absolute garbage. His Lv. 6 burst is on par with most casters, but it's very easy to miss Trueshot Barrage. He also sucks at farming. Make it past the early levels, however, and you'll have an absolute beast on your hands.
Ionians I like these over Sorcs because even as AP, a lot of your damage is physical. More on that later. Sorcs do let you burst harder, but the sustained damage on Ionians is much, much superior.
Chalice/Archangel's I think Chalice is the better choice. He has a lot of mana issues, so one or the other is mandatory. Archangel's is easily stackable thanks to Q though. I haven't played AP since Chalice's addition, so mess around with these two a bit.
Rabadon's Mandatory on every AP carry, of course.
Lich Bane Once you have Lich Bane + Rabadon's, AP Ezreal is absolutely terrifying. His Q procs Lich Bane for a massive damage, long range, short cooldown poke. Late-game AP Ezreal has burst rivaling or surpassing that of other carries while also maintaining amazing sustained damage thanks to this item. An absolute must.
Gunblade Very situational at best. The lifesteal lets you heal for huge amounts on your Q. On a slightly related note, have your support grab Zeke's if possible. The lifesteal helps a ton.
Other Items Void or Abyssal are always nice on AP carries. Zhonya's is also amazing. Deathfire is actually quite good as well - Kage's helps get you through early-game, and the active helps you nuke down enemies. The CDR also improves your sustained damage output.
Hope this helped!
