Hey guys, I'm kinda confused here. >.<
RPG is a game where you make choices and they affect the story.
So why many Japanese games are called JRPG, when you don't make any choices, you only follow the story? Final Fantasy 13, for example?

You can still customize your character and choose their job, right? (I've only played FF3)
I think that that's one of the main things, if something is to be called a RPG.
Like that the Pokémon games are RPGs too, even though you only follow the story. The fact that you can choose which pokemon to battle with, is what makes it an RPG.
