I don't know about "ticket to hell" but it is sin. Self-murder is still murder; on top of that, suicide is a cowardly act (not wanting to deal with the problems in this life, having no faith that YHWH can sustain you through them). This verse comes to mind: Quote: Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” Giving up your own life or risking your own life to save another person's life is the only form of "suicide" I see accepted in the bible; however, the incentive here isn't, "I can't deal with this life, let me look for an escape", but "I'm going to save somebody, hopefully my life will be spared too". YHWH's will is to save life. I don't know what you're going through, but how bad is it compared to what Yeshua/Jesus went through...? He is the one we should be comparing our lives to. You're showing very little faith in him right now (assuming you're the one thinking about commiting suicide); do you disbelieve him and our ancestors when they say: Quote: 2 Samuel 22:3 my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior— from violent people you save me. There's always a way out and suicide is never it. None of the characters/people in the bible who committed suicide were good: King Saul and his armorbearer [1 Sam 31:2-6] , Ahithopel [2 Sam 17:23], Abimelech [Jg 9:54], Zimri [1 Kings 16:18], Samson [Jg 16: 29-30] (even though he was used by YHWH, he completely violated his nazirite vow and fell in love with someone he shouldn't have), and lastly Judas [Matt 27:5]. Don't follow their example.

I have had thoughts like that in the past. We have to realize that Suffering comes in our walk with God. Jesus suffered. He was rejected, humiliated, spit on, etc. what always helps me is that I am no better than my Savior so I know that the enemy of my soul is going to make me suffer. Look at Job. Satan had to get permission from God to attack him. God knows whatever is going on and he sees the beginning to the end. Trust Him He never fails.
