What do you think? Is the price fair?

The Basic set will have 8GB of memory and includes the console, a GamePad, an HDMI cable, a Wii U sensor bar and an AC adapter. The basic set will be $299.99 in the United States.

The price....man that's high!!! I understand that the wii pad would be expensive to make, which may explain why the price is $250-$300. But I still think it's a bit overpriced. Maybe $200-$250 would be better, but that's my opinion. I'll still get it, but I hope Nintendo doesn't pull the same mess they did when they priced the 3DS.
Also some of the things that the deluxe version has, such as the console stand and particularly the points for digital download, you would think the basic would have by default. But that's not the case. I wonder why?

Maybe 200-250$? You want the WiiU to be equal or less to its predecessor's launch price? Also a console like that the same value as the gamecube? no way lol

It'd be nice, but I knew it was a bit of a long shot.
