How did I end up in this place? One moment, a snake is taking a nap after a filling meal of desert rat. Next thing I know, I'm being man-handled and shoved into a box. After that, complete darkness. The feeling of weightlessness made me nearly upchuck what was left in my belly. Soon, it got quiet, the darkness lulling me to sleep. Hours later, light flooded my sight and I saw the ugliest thing I'd ever seen: humans. Even worse, human offspring. I was glad for the glass shield between us. I was terrified. Many times, you humans would come in and look at me. Often times, some of you would even try to hold me, but I hated that. None of you held me right and your hands touched me in the worst places! So, it was with some relief that you picked me up that day. You were...different from the other humans. Plus, your hands were comfortably warm and held me with proper respect. You didn't manhandle me or try to force me to eat things I didn't eat either. So I didn't mind going home with you too much. Getting roomed with a idiotic, playboy iguana was a shocker. And yet, somehow, the guy ended up my best friend. So, playing your pet wasn't too bad at all. But after a while, I started to miss my old life, living in the wild. It was time to move on. With that decided, I slithered out of my cage and changed back to my true form. But then I realized I couldn't exactly walk out like this. I'd need a human disguise. So I tried on some of your clothes and...well...that's when you walked in. "Uh...sup?" Uriel had just pulled on the human's pants, a bit on the short side, but not tight at all. He was searching through his human's shirts when he felt vibrations in the floor. There wasn't enough time to transform, not that he wanted to go back to being a regular snake. No, he wanted to leave. So he just stood there in all his shirtless glory when his human entered the room. "Uh...sup? Rayne?"

The dark-haired teen stood in the doorway, staring at the male in his room. He then took a step back, expression unchanged, and closed the door again, staring at the knob. Maybe that hadn't really just happened. Once again, he opened the door and stared. "Well... This isn't weird at all... Finding some random person in my room, going through my clothes... putting my clothes on... and knowing my name. Sorry, I don't think we have had the pleasure of meeting. Who are you and why are you in my room?" he asked, folding his arms and leaning against the door frame.

Uriel scratched the back of his head as Rayne left the room as quickly as he came him. Shrugging, he went back to trying to find a shirt that fit. Then the door open again. "Um...we have met. At the petshop? I must say, I've never met a human who's handled me as well as you. But honestly, a snake can't live his young life in a box! I have to keep moving. Hunt prey, find a snake, leave eggs here and there. Then get eaten by a mongoose once I've gotten too old. That's how it goes." He smiled as he thought he found a shirt. Trying it on, he sighed sadly as it still left a portion of his stomach bare. "I don't suppose you have anything longer than this?"

Rayne stared once more... "You mean to tell me... that that snake I got is you...?" he asked, stepping closer and examining the 'intruder'. He walked around him as if examining prey and then leaned close to the other's face, seemingly gazing into his eyes. The eyes. They looked quite similar. He moved away and went to one of his drawers, tossing the 'snake' a longer shirt, but it was still slightly small since Uriel was taller than him.

Uriel nodded his head, giving a thin, wide smile as the human finally got it. Though, he watched cautiously as he was circle, not liking the very bird-like mannerisms at all. It reminded him of too many close calls. He sighed as the other left him alone and tossed him a larger shirt. He took off the smaller one he already had on and exchanged it for the longer shirt. It covered his body completely now, thought it hugged his form quite snugly, highlighting every serpent like curve of his body. "Mmm...fits like a glove: tight. But I like it." He flicked out a thin, long, forked tongue as he hissed happily.

Noting the tongue, he nodded, sitting down on his bed. "Now, what's this about leaving?" he asked curiously, glancing over at his lone iguana. He walked over and picked him up before sitting back on the bed. "I thought you were content."

"Well, yeah...I figured it was time for me to do." Uriel sat down at Rayne's desk. "I was content, living here. It was warm, I never had to worry about starving and you are a great handler. But I'm also young. Right now, my instincts are screaming at me to go out and sow my seed with as many out females possible so that, when I die, more of my kind will be out there." He stood up and walked over to one of the window. "Also, I kind of miss the world out there. The thrill of the hurt, the warm desert sands...and the taste of fresh eggs after a very grueling climb!"

Rayne nodded. He could understand wanting to return home. He had been sent away from his own many times before. "Well... First off do you even know where you are? Besides this home?" he asked, head tilted slightly, making his dark bangs fall into his face a bit.

Uriel stared at Rayne, then shook his head. "Not at all~! I mean, when you first bought me, I was so enraptured by you that I didn't even notice. And I was sedated when they first captured me and brought me to the pet shop. But...I'm not worried." He looked Rayne's way with a fanged smile. "I'll just follow my instincts to lead me home. If it all goes well, I can get enough females to have 6o or so of my offspring. Sure, most of then will die, but at least I tried."

(Writer's block sorry D: ) Rayne nodded, petting the iguana. "Well... It's not lie I could stop a snakeman anyway." he said with a small laugh. "I have to say, however, it was nice. You were a pretty good pet. I enjoyed your company." he smiled.

Uriel tilted his head at Rayne. "Ah, yes. And die to the time we spent together, I won't lie either." He stepped within Rayne's personal space. "I truly did enjoy our time together. The way you held me was divine. Though, a few times, I cursed my inability to become human. It wasn't until now that I could though."
He then approached the window and recoiled. "Eh? Cold air?" He turned and looked at Rayne. "Um...what season is this?"

Rayne looked out the window. "Its fall. Why?" he asked, looking at Uriel. "Do you not likr the cold?" he inquired, standing and closing the window. "I do have your tank lap set at a pretty warm temperature."

Uriel's jaw dropped momentarily. "F-Fall? No wonder it's so cold! Arggh! My entire plan of a babe oasis is ruined! They'll be headed to safer lands or preparing to hibernate now! Any egg fertilizing is over and the laying should be beginning too. Ugh. No way, man! I'm sticking around here until Spring!"

Rayne shrugged. "Fine by me. Just tell me when I need to turn your heat lamp higher or lower since I don't like it too warm in here." he smiled. "Hungry? I hadn't fed you yet." The younger male slipped the iguana back into his tank and then went to fetch the small cage of rodents he had bought for Uriel. "Do you... still want them? Or should I get something else for you to eat?" he asked, watching as the rodents moved about.
