[Raja's Corner]

Raja is currently..
Feeling: Happy, and rather defensive.
Thinking: 'I'm hungry. n___n'
Wanting: A cuddle.
Needing: People to stop coming near Jasmine's feather.

April 11th, 2006.

I could not be more surprised if you hit me around the back of the head with a wet fish, then told me I'd won the lottery. Jasmine has grown - and Raja, too! I was in my bed of sickness -- thank you, faulty immune system.. -- when a delighted burble came from the adjacent room. At first, I thought it was a burglar - then, I realised that it had been a month since I acquired Jasmine's feather, and so it was probably her growing which had caused the disturbance.

Crawling from the cosy sheets which had hugged me so comfortably, I shuffled into my study. To my shock and elation, I found a young girl sat upon my desk, giggling merrily and playing with an evolved Raja. He had certainly grown; his more defined feline features almost intimidated me, especially as I caught a glimpse of those claws! However, upon recognising me, he bounded towards my thoroughly confused form and began rubbing against my legs, purring in the way a common house-cat would.

"Jasmine?" I called tentatively. The girl looked up, her ebony hair neatly tied back with turquoise bands. A strange tiara was worn upon her head, the centerpiece gem matching the rest of her attire. It seemed quite Asian, or something to that effect. Dazzling gold earrings matched her fantastic necklace and gorgeous wings. I almost began to envy her.

"Moh-mee!" she called, leaping at once from the desk and throwing her arms around my knees. Raja murmured his own noises of approval, as we all stood together. I knew at once that this was definitely my young Jasmine.

Ever since that day, I've been teaching her how to read and write. Walking doesn't seem to be much of a problem; Raja's taking that in his stride, as the two of them are rarely apart. He even seems reluctant to let her come out with me - undoubtedly, society would not approve of a predator with such strength as Raja has being so close to a vulnerable girl like Jasmine. Well, I say 'vulnerable'.. Already, she's beginning to develop her own characteristics and personality. It's anyone's guess as to how she will be when she matures.. I'll keep you posted.
