(Modded! )
Kimko arrived at the apartment building according to the information she and her human partner, would act as siblings. Kimiko would be his older step sister who had moved into the building just over a month previously. The existing tenants and local people had, had their memories discreetly modified as little as possible, so that the sudden appearance of two siblings wasn't so sudden. Kimiko made her way up the stairs to the fifth floor, she saw an old lady sweeping the floor in front of her apartment. This woman was one of their neighbour's the other was a young couple of about twenty five and twenty three who already had three kids.*
Kimiko returned the old womans wave "Ah Kimiko- Chan" she said as if she was already fond of the pair. "I hope you and Takeshi-Chan are doing fine, I heard their had been some trouble near where you work." Kimiko replied with a pleasant smile. She remembered that as part of her cover she worked at a little cafe and was just about to begin a teacher training, it was fortunate she wouldn't have to work their herself, however she'd certainly take a look at it. "It's fine Reiko-Bachan, the boss sorted it out." As she reached the door she withdrew her key which she wore on a chain under her jacket. ----------------------------------
The apartment was spacious and had plenty of room, it was apparent that her cover was a good provider despite the possible stigma. It was common for Enma Daio toensure that agents on long term earth duty were comfortable, even if she still got paid the same wage which would only count in the spirit realm. She stepped into a hallway taking off her shoes and putting on one of two pairs of house slippers. She guessed hers were the light pink one's with a small Hello kitty Logo on them.
The hall way contained three door's one led into a toilet, the other two led into both a bathroom and an airing cupboard with a boiler. She walked into the main body of the apartment it was a living room/kitchen, the kitchen was separated by a counter and floor tiles. The Living room proper was carpeted, it had a table with four chair's and two long sofa's which surrounded a coffee table and T.V. with a games console and in fact seemed very elaborate. Lastly a large window and balcony behind the TV and beside the right hand sofa. She walked the apartment further finding two bed rooms neither of them decorated, she decided to wait for Takeshi to arrive before claiming one.
In the mean time Kimiko dropped her bag and changed out of her biker leather's, folding and putting them aside. Now dressed in her official uniform she entered the kitchen and began a session of inventory.
(The apartment is based off the one in Digimon that the main character lives in.)

Takeshi moved with confidence along the appointed route from the map in his mission dossier. He listened intently as Miku described his identity and his school schedule. It was strange that he would be going to school, after all he hadn’t really gone to any kind of school since completing basic. Though there had been refresher courses to teach his generation about new weapons systems. Still nothing like what he would be forced into with a group of civilians. Still he had gone under cover before and this would be more of the same just on a longer term than before. He was aware of the memory modifications as he was greeted by his neighbors. He was a little stiff in his replies, but that was understandable for one such as him who never had to fake previous relationships with others.
Fortunately according to the dossier he wouldn’t have to interact with the neighbors that much, also according to his orders the apartment was far too large he didn’t need such an expansive living area and he certainly didn’t need the extra bedroom, though when he thought about it he could use the extra space as storage, or if he could requisition a vehicle it would be perfect for a place to put it together. It had always been strange to him, but somehow building things or fixing them made him feel calm, and there were only so many times you could clean your gun before it fell apart. Unfortunately Miku had forgotten to mention that he would have support from another agent on this mission so when Takeshi came to the door and heard movement inside the apartment.
Takeshi was instantly silent as he pressed his back to the wall next to the door as he reached for his sidearm. “Takeshi? What’s going on?” Miku’s voice came clearly over the cochlear communications implant in Takeshi’s skull and he was reminded that he was not authorized to use the pistol. So he spoke so only Miku would be able to hear as he bent down slowly to draw a combat knife from its sheath on his ankle, “There is someone inside. The dossier says that renovations were completed yesterday. So no one should be inside. Don’t worry I’ll catch them off guard and take them alive for questioning." Miku had to think for a moment, but it was too late as she began pleading with Takeshi to stop, “Takeshi I forgot to tell you, you have another agent as support on your mission, she arrived sooner than we thought she would.” He had already entered and begun moving with the intent of incapasitating the woman who had invaded his base of operations.

The inventory hadn't taken long and by the time she had finished she knew Takeshi was at the door. She'd heard him approach at least that was her best guest, as even with such sensitive ears Kimiko only picked up tiny details from between such a distance and a door. Having reviewed his files she decided the best method of introduction would likely be to stay in character. A smile crossed her face as she headed for the door. At the door she opened it and grinned "Take- chan" She said grabbing Takeshi's head and pulling it into her chest. She dragged him quickly into the apartment whispering "I'm your partner".
Once they were past the threshold of the door Kimiko released him and moved around to the door shutting it. She still had a smile on her face as she walked towards the main room of the apartment. She turned "Don't forget to change your shoes "Take-Chan".

Without warning his head was pulled with an uncontrollable force into a soft warmth that pressed happily at each side of his head. He fought against this strange hold that he didn’t recall from any of the many forms of martial arts he had studied that and combined with this assailant’s surprise attack caused him to drop the knife and fail to escape the grapple. Still he was able to quickly register both Miku’s and the woman’s assurances that they were not enemies. Still this form of greeting was beyond him. He hesitated before entering the room further as he listened to Miku’s belated explanation, “Alight Ta-kun, sorry I forgot, the general didn’t tell me much other than the fact that she will be something of an expert in relation to your targets as well as a direct point of contact with your main target. Her identity for the mission is Tsukiya Kimiko and she will to the public eye be your stepsister. I’ll be sure to send your family information to your secure e-mail.” Takeshi spent the time staring at the indoor shoes, he knew the custom, but it still made little sense to him when he might need to be ready to act at a moments notice.
Still he had to keep up appearances in case a civilian found their way in to the domicile. He then quickly changed his shoes as he spoke to Miku supposing that his “partner” likely could hear, “Well that’s the mission briefing, so tell me Miku, who is she really? What is her area of expertise and what exactly is she going to do for the mission?” “Yeah, you think I haven’t been trying? Honestly Takeshi who ever sent her is at a whole different level than us. I would tread very carefully if I were you and be glad she’s our ally.” Takeshi’s eyes regained their look of suspicion as he moved carefully through the apartment taking note of certain locations specifically a small package Miku had told him about on the kitchen counter with a note written in Miku’s hand writing,
To Ta-kun, I got you something good as a house warming gift. This is after all your first assignment where you have a house to warm, right? Any way I knew you would never really accept anything unless it were useful so I got you a cell phone so you can talk to me when you are in public without looking crazy. Also the cookies aren’t just those useless sugar and processed flour things I know you hate, they are actually full of vitamins and important nutrients like chocolate. Try to remember, no matter how much you argue your lack of humanity, your brain still needs certain stimulations to keep it working properly. wink
Takeshi held no expression as he opened the care package from his handler. It was a good idea of hers to send a cell phone though he wondered why she didn’t just give it to him and even though his training told him the cookies wouldn’t help him in the slightest he lifted one to his lips and held it between his teeth as he collected his bag and made his way to the bedroom described in his mission dossier that held the secret compartments with his equipment. As he moved he spoke aloud this time directly to Kimiko, "So Miss Expert, what's our fist move?"

Kimiko watched as Takeshi busied himself with the care package that was on the kitchen counter, she'd read the note briefly and once she'd finished she'd called her HQ for information on Miku but had found they had very little information on the girl in question. Once Takeshi claimed a room Kimiko moved into the room taking a few moments to change out of her biker leathers and into a tank top and denim shorts.
Kimiko then returned in time to see Takeshi eating one of the contents of the package. She smiled at his question "Very simple, we wait and we observe".

Takeshi looked toward Kimiko without an ounce of emotion as he replied, “Observe what exactly? We don’t have any location information on our end so if you don’t know where the target is then we can’t really observe. Then there is the matter of the rest the mission. Miku has no intelligence on any targets fitting mission parameters so since I’m sure you wouldn’t be hiding an entire terrorist organization so we can wait and observe it you don’t have any leads. Meaning we get to spend two whole days watching the military funded paint dry, while the target moves unobserved.” It wasn’t like he was angry or even remotely irritated; it only seemed like an enormous waste of military resources. If the general had waited two more days to have him transferred he would still be working rather than waiting, doing nothing to move the mission forward. Without another word Takeshi moved out of his room holding a small canvas satchel as he moved to the kitchen. Upon arrival he moved to the cupboards and looked through them until he found rather new rice cooker and without missing a beat he began opening his small tool kit and began taking the machine apart

( Apologies for the delay! I've also modified a few posts considering how crappy they were. )
Kimiko felt a mischievous grin cross her lips "Well first of all, you need to get used to civilian life I get the feeling you'll be a bit stiff if you don't practise. Second of all you need to familiarise yourself with your identity and my own. For one you are a freshmen despite your actual age at Shiromiko High, while I am not only your big sister but also. Your home room teacher, starting this monday. You're living under my roof because our erstwhile parents have moved abroad and they don't want to up root your education."
Kimiko* reached for a file which seemed to have suddenly appear and handed it to him. This is my cover my real identity is on a need to know basis. That will be judged within the next few weeks. Read it at your leisure and feel free to quiz me on anything. Meanwhile I'm going to make some tea."** (*this is all a result of new inspiration ** The contents of that file will be located on my bio page. )

Takeshi barely lifted his eyes from the dismantled rice cooker long enough to simply glance at the file. Sleight of hand was not a foreign concept to him and he was completely uninterested in why she would make such an effort with the file. He took it with one hand and set it open beside the well-ordered piles of parts and tools and glanced side long at it while continuing to deconstruct and reconstruct the machine in front of him. Occasionally he would turn the page and even while he read his strategic mind came up with questions for the young woman, “Siblings? Same father different mothers. As there is no information on older siblings and because your spouse was prematurely terminated along with any possible next of kin, what measures have been taken for the future of the Family business? In my third year of primary school there was a science fair. What was my chosen subject of study? When and how did I receive the scar on my wrist?*” Takeshi paused a moment to pull his sleeve up slightly to show a rather long burn scar that ran in nearly a straight line from the heel of his palm straight across his wrist and two centimeters up his forearm. He remembered the real reason for the scar as it had been one of the few times he had allowed himself to be captured for the sake of a mission. The torture had been ineffective due in part to his training as well as the fact that his torturer’s head went missing as the burning hot iron rod was moving toward his palm.
It was true he could cover it with makeup, however it was far simpler to have a story for it to give life to the cover identity. Then he continued as the rice cooker began to come back together from the collection of stray parts, “in the event of capture, what measures are authorized to secure your or my extraction?**” Takeshi was silent, he waited for the woman to answer his questions knowing that it would be how she answered that told him more about her than any fake identity ever could. For one the date of birth and age were most likely true while the family history was no doubt falsified by someone of Miku’s level of skill, speaking of which it seemed coincidental that the moment he thought of her was when she chose to speak up, “Also ask her what her measurements are.” “Measurements?” “And ask her what kind of music she likes.” “Music?” “Honestly Ta-kun, you are the worst wingman ever. How am I supposed to dream about a hothot hot hottyhothot girl you can’t tell me anything about. Anyway I’m gonna go silent again; I’ve got some paperwork to finish before tomorrow. If you need anything just ask, I’ll be online for at least a few more hours.” Takeshi shook his head slightly at how strange his handler was acting. Still he had finished rebuilding the rice cooker and was busy picking up his tools with utmost care. He would have preferred taking apart a radio but it wasn’t his place to argue. It was about that time that Takeshi having finished Kimiko’s cover file closed it and turned to look at her as he asked one final question, “What do you know about me and my origins, the nature of my training, and the reason for my involvement in this mission?”***
((*Alright the first one, I’ll leave up t you, the second is a resounding potato battery powering a small digital clock, and the third answer is that he was helping with dinner when he was eight (same age as when he was actually captured and subjected to the heinous torture) and when he was carrying a red hot heavy cast iron pot to the table it slipped slightly and drug across his arm before he dropped it and was rushed to the emergency room… YAY! ((**I figure that in order to keep up appearances they ought to call the police like good citizens… unless it directly relates to the mission, in which case deadly force is always fun. ((***Now this is a very deeply prying question is it not? One he wants to know if she knows that he is a clone or if she is even at liberty to discuss what she knows about him. Second he wants to know why he was chosen for the mission or if she is even at liberty to discuss what she knows about why he was chosen for the mission… feel free to discuss it with me if you need more information or if you want to confer on other parts of things… YAY! )) )) ))

After passing the folder to Takeshi Kimiko walked into the kitchen proper and began the process of making some tea, she made a basic pot, not bothering with anything fancy, though by her standards, the tea ceremony was still quite standard.* She took a few moments to consider the question as she prepared two cups of tea. Once it was ready Kimiko poured to cups passing one to Takeshi as she walked to the living area. Kimiko gestured for him to follow, "Our "father" is currently still alive and he is hoping that you will take over, however due to poor health on your part Anemia among other things. You are unable to do so. Your project was a potato clock but I wasn't present at the time, in fact I was in the middle of my mid terms. Keibo* told me about it later when I got home. The scar you got the year before, you were trying to be helpful and bring a pot to the table. In your haste the pot slipped some how running a down your arm. We rushed you to the emergency room immediately afterwards."
Kimiko took a sip of tea and still waiting for her comrade to sit "As far as situations such as that, well depending on the situation the police would be useful. However should the situation require it then yes your training will be of use, we have minimal back up available due to the nature of the mission in question." Having finished her lengthy explanation Kimiko turned to Takeshi at his question "Pardon? Are you asking me what my measurements are?". Kimiko asked in a coy manner, she'd studied the folder but as they'd been trained Kimiko was prepared, not with mace but with a barrier. It was generally meant for repelling those with low power and only for a short while. A single thought is all it would take, but she was sure it wouldn't be necessary.
(*She however didn't do that. ** Apparently a word for step mother, can't remember where I put my old Japanese notes nor can I remember where I put my phrase book to check. )

Takeshi took the tea and ran through his memory of social interactions training and while he could never really emulate perfect human emotions he still remembered how to hold a teacup in japan. He blew lightly at the steaming hot liquid and began to go over his mission, mostly his anemia. It was a good choice as far as command was concerned as it meant he would be able to skip classes at the drop of a hat whenever he needed the time to complete alternate parts of the mission. However it also meant that he couldn’t appear too healthy so he had to control himself in most situations so he didn’t allow others to see his true strength. He sipped the tea to check its temperature as he sat and considered the mission. It wasn’t any kind of regular mission, while he had to gather intelligence he had no idea what intelligence needed to be gathered. It was a search and destroy mission but he had no idea of what he was looking for. A covert operation where he needed to stay hidden in plain sight. He considered the character he was going to portray and thought long and hard as he continued to lt the hot tea run across his lips.
This Takeshi who was born to be heir to a successful business cut off because of illness. Should he resent his own weakness and be bitter and closed off. Or would he push himself harder because of it to overcome the disease and take his birthright. Damn Miku for making him listen to her read all those pointless fantasy stories. Takeshi turned up at Kimiko’s question about measurements and in a completely detached tone with no hint of nervousness or embarrassment he spoke, “No I did not ask that. However my handler wanted me to ask. Has such a question become common social practice in this country since I had my last social etiquette training camp?”

Kimiko smiled at Takeshi's counter question she was now curious what this Miku could see and hear. Not only that but the manner he asked the question was very unusual, "So you really are a home grown army brat. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not". Kimiko then considered his question more thoroughly, "It's not common for that sort of question to be asked but if your handler is that interested perhaps she could find out one of these day's"
Kimiko took another sip of her tea then at last she set the cup down and stood in one move. "Right as we're siblings we might as well try doing something fun together. I think you need some new clothes and school supplies, so shall we go out and then maybe we can see a film?"

Takeshi always felt out of place conversing with quote unquote normal people. He had to run through a veritable dictionary of terms and phrases he never used in the field to try and decifer what people were talking about some times. Homegrown seemed easily understandable but not entirely accurate. After all he was certainly not grown in a home and while his genetic material was perfected in laboratory settings and he did have a surrogate womb volunteered by an undisclosed benefactor, he did most of his growing on base. Still at least army brat was accurate to the extent that he was in the army and one of his targets had once called him a little monster.* It stood to reason that Takeshi would have to explain slightly, “I was not grown in a home, I was grown in a womb like most everyone else, or so I am told. Since then I have done most of my growing on base or in the field. I have never grown in a home. As for whether my upbringing is a good or a bad thing one should gather from evidence that it is good. After all when dealing with possible enemy combatants of the caliber described in the mission folder it would be advantageous to have a highly trained field operative involved.”
He did however listen intently as Kimiko explained that asking her measurements was not a socially acceptable practice. He could not see however the playful grin on Miku’s face when she essentially heard this pretty young woman flirting with her vicariously through Ta-kun’s radio. Instead he silently considered Kimiko’s proposal that they “go out.” The having fun part didn’t appeal to him as much but the excursion would give him a non-incriminating reason to make a mental map of the surroundings in case an expedited escape route became necessary. “Yes, a reconnaissance of the surrounding areas as well as acquiring supplies for school would be advantageous.” In fact Takeshi was somewhat curious about what manner of supply drop would be needed in school considering that Miku had assured him over and over that none of the students would be carrying concealed firearms.
((I looked up brat in a thesaurus and one of the entries was little monster so it made it kind of funny…))

Kimiko smiled at Takeshi's charming naivete "It's an expression and doesn't literally mean you were grown. Now I'll just change and be back in a minute." Kimiko then turned on her heel and left Takeshi to himself she took a little longer then it would have usually taken her to change just to get an idea of what he would do waiting. In fact after fifteen minutes she emerged she was no longer wearing just a tank top and short shorts, which she would wear only for comfort as she did back in spirit realm.
Kimiko was wearing a soft light blue short sleeved blouse, a skirt and in her left hand she was carrying plain two inch black heels. For the moment she left her legs bare, though normally Kimiko would have preferred to wear tights or stockings, she decided she'd spent enough time making him wait, most of that time was spent unpacking her clothes from her ordinary bag. She carried a plain purse that unlike her bag of luggage was far from normal. It was booby trapped and could easily hold the entire contents of the apartment with ease though getting it in was an entirely different problem.
"Ok so first of all we'll head to the centre,* we could go to the centre of Tokyo but that would take to much time. Honestly their are more then enough shops for school supplies here. The only thing that you'll need to get is a uniform, though your agency should have arranged that."

Takeshi stood when Kimiko leftand began to ready himself for the journey, a task that for himself actually did only take one minute. He retrieved the phone Miku had given to him along with the government issued wallet complete with identification, emergency contact list as well as a small stipend of cash in order to keep up appearances of being a successful businessman’s son. Of course Kotone would have probably told him to have fun with the money. In addition he also found in his gunny sack a ceramic combat knife. It wasn’t really ceramic though but the note assured him that it would not be visible to metal detectors. He slipped it into the canvas sheath and strapped it to his leg and was waiting at the front door with a couple seconds to spare. The first minute of waiting after that he could understand. Humans after all were notoriously slower than he was at preparing for a mission. Even the next five made sense as he remembered some of his previous squad making mention of women taking longer to get ready than men. However after nine minutes he thought through all the other reasons why she would be taking so long to leave her room.
It wasn’t standing at attention for nearly ten minutes that bothered him, after all a few years ago he had stood at attention for eight hours without rest while wearing full combat gear. No this was because he could only think that she had either been abducted, assassinated or injured, or she had simply left out the window without him. The last didn’t make sense because she would need her shoes that were obviously left outside the door. The others didn’t make sense because pone he would have likely heard a struggle of some kind or even a plea for help as humans are oft times want to do. Lastly he could still hear her calmly moving about the room with no significant change the might suggest a recording or other similar device. So he waited without a word, until after approximately a quarter of an hour she reemerged, dressed more conservatively. He never even changed his expression as he spoke, “So was that another expression?” He then listened as she laid out the mission plan. Then at the questioning of the aptitude of his agency he turned away slightly and spoke again, “Miku, were uniforms not requisitioned for me?” Miku couldn’t believe how quickly Takeshi could pull her from her good mood.
“WHAT THE HELL! Are you really questioning my aptitude? I didn’t do any on the requisitioning or have anything to do with the apartment. It was my job to make an entire well known and respected family out of nothing. I had to fake birth certificates, death certificates, licensing forms, business reports, and tax forms for the past sixty years. I ate slept and breathed your fake family so much for the past week that if I didn’t know better even I might be fooled into thinking they had lived across the street from me my whole life. So don’t you dare blame me for some idiot cleaner who couldn’t think, ‘DUH I GUESS THE AGENT LIVING HERE IS GO TO SCHOOL UNDER COVERS… MAYBE I GET UNIFORMS FOR THEM!’ God damn it Takeshi don’t bunch me up with those idiots.” "Cleaner?” “Oh! Just a term that the general uses sometimes to refer to her field agents. Personally I like the term Sweeper better, but that’s me. Look don’t worry about it, I know you don’t take the time to know these things so I’ll text you your sizes to make shopping easier for you. Also I’ll send you a map of the area with locations to buy uniforms and supplies marked.” Takeshi turned after the speaking with Miku without a change in expression at all, “it seems there was an oversight within the ranks. My handler is sending me information on our surroundings so we can make better tactical use of our time.” With that he slipped his outdoor shoes back on and pushed the door open immediately pushing he senses to the limit to make sure everything was still safe for travel without the use of a firearm. It was almost at that very moment that the cellphone in his pocket began to vibrate and play the opening theme song from Sailor Moon at the highest volume setting available. Takeshi nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard the unmistakable tones of Miku's uncontrolled laughter. He imediately opened his phone and began flipping through menus to set the phone to silent.
