The Ji, meaning Ground in japanese, is the immediate area a person would enter upon arriving inside the Bathhouse. It is dedicated to traditional Japanese tatami matted living areas for officers. A long hallway with rooms separated by rice paper wooden doors line the ground floor.
This entire floor is dedicated to hundreds of these rooms, with only the hallways being free to move around.
