Personality: Highly perverted, like issueing 'checkups' on female staff, normally resulting in complaints against him but not from his own staff who have suspiciously higher moral afterwoods. Otherwise, a very competant medical shinigami who is very protective of those he sees as 'in his care', even willing to defy direct orders to do so.
Likes: Women, anime, chocolate, music, flirting, cherry blossoms, relaxing on a roof and using too many bandages.
Dislikes: Being interrupted, loosing a patient, people who disrespect or insult squad 4 and bugs.
Appearance: Physically attractive, sharp shoulder length pristine white hair and smooth pale skin give him an unearthly allure. His purple eyes appear to see straight through whoever he looks at, even when he's playing the fool. His slim build makes him appear taller than he actually is. Usually wears standard squad captain clothes or the outfit shown.
Special Items: Wears a belt with pockets of equipment used for healing including several dozen antidotes. On rare occasions wears a bag with enough equipment needed to set up a small temporary, fully functional medical station. Always has a small, silver pentacle on a neclace and a white fan somewhere on him.
Skills: Swordcraft, basic hand-to-hand skills, medical and healing kidou.
Abilities: Very good at telling how a person's hurt or if they're under the effects of a poison. Above decent at flash-step to get to patients fast.

Zanpaku-to: Dia
Release Phrase (Shikai): Light of the party, Dia.
Release Phrase (Bankai): Not to be taken lightly, Dia!
Spirit Description: Dia appears as a pale, highly attractive female in her twenties. She has bright yellow eyes like a cat, piercing like Sozen's. Her hair is pitch black, and cleavage ample. In a lot of ways she is like Sozen, in one way more than others, and enjoys being his sword. She is loyal to him is through thick and thin, but tends to get disagreeable and pouty when he starts giving attention to other women, unless they're seriously wounded. Loves attention and compliments.
Shikai Description: Blade shrinks to nine inches and becomes slightly see through, handle turns darker and gains a small red flower pattern under Sozen's hand. Resembles a torch with the blade where the lense should be.
Shikai Abilities:
Healing light:Sozen aims the blade at the wounded individual and wispers sweet nothings to his blade. A light from the blade envelops the target in a faint purple light, curing all minor wounds, stopping any major bleeding, accelerating healing and stablizing heartrate/breathing.
Ties that Bind: Sozen points his Shikai at the target(s) to be affected and asks Dia nicely. Long bandages that look and feel like white silk extend from around the blade, wrapping tightly around the areas previous said. The bandages are still attatched to the blade until cut, and exist even when shikai ends. Areas bound heal at a slightly increased rate, but otherwise no different from how they'd heal from normal sterlized bandages.
Bankai Description: The sword grows in length to the size of a two handed claymore, it's blade becoming crystal clear with slightly glowing intricate floral patterns over it's length. The handle extends, giving the option of being wielded one handed or two as the entire sword becomes weightless, or more accurately, 'as heavy as light'.
Bankai Abilities:
1. Aura of life: Healing energies flow through Sozen's body, reinforcing his strength, speed and reflexes while repairing any damage done to him at a vastly accelerated rate. While the speed and reflexes allow him to dodge or block attacks more easily, the healing does depend on him being alive after the blow to heal.
2. What the light returns: A beam of crimson light shines from Dia, effecting any who touch it with every wound, cut, fracture, impalement, scratch, poison, or other form of damage the sword has ever come across. The rate at which this happens depends on how much light touches each individual, over several years if just the faintest sliver or instantly if completely drenched in light (Usually with explosive results.)

History: Sozen had only just finished highschool, aceing biology and intending to go into doctoring like his parents when he was killed in a freak accident involving a giant godzilla statue, three cosplayers, a plush toy and a bullet train. The video of his demise, having been filmed by one of his friends who were present at the time, is available on youtube and has over twenty million hits. When the friend in question was asked why he'd recorded it, he answered "It was just the best way to go I'd ever seen, and I'm sure Sozen would agree if he could've somehow seen it."*
(*He has infact seen it a dozen times and still has a copy of the origional recording hidden somewhere in his room.)
