The home to Akira Sakata, and the other Sakata family members is anything but average. Being a rich family that often has guests in certain parts, they live in basically a mansion in Karakura Town, having countless rooms, a large kitchen, large dining room, three living areas, a large pool in part of the backyard, as well as a massive garden behind a wall of hedges and so much more.

It was a pretty quiet day in the Sakata mansion, just like always, and like often times, Akira was there, in one of the main rooms setting a dvd into the dvd player while the tv on. While Hikari was in the kitchen preparing her.. Special popcorn.. Akira's stomach was already turning, but he would never deny her food, it was a surprise the taste of any of her food hadn't grown on him yet.. Was his taste buds incapable of being able to adapt to something even relatively close to Hikari's.. Oh well, he'd live with it.. At least.. Until his stomach got so badly damaged that he couldn't eat her food anymore, though that was still a good ways away.. After a few more minutes, the tv was set up, at the menu screen for the movie as the corner of his mouth curled up a bit to form a small smile before he pulled away, walking out of the room towards the kitchen, calling out with almost a monotone voice. "Hikari, the movie is ready, how's the popcorn coming along?" He said as he arrived at the kitchen door, just hanging near the outside.

This day in the Sakata house, though quiet as usual wasn't a normal day.. It was actually Akira's birthday, and this was how they were celebrating, hanging out and watching a movie with Hikari's special popcorn.. What more could the boy ask for really? Well, maybe no popcorn.. But he still wouldn't deny that.

Standing in a kitchen that was at least three times the size of her own, Hikari was staring intensely at the microwave, watching the time tick down as the popcorn inside popped. When it finally beeped, the girl grinned and pulled out a large bowl, pulling it in. From there, she ran frantically around the kitchen, looking for various things to top her popcorn with. Chocolate syrup, mayonnaise, paprika, garlic powder, and apricot jelly. As she was about to pour her delicious ingredients in the large bowl, she made a split decision to put have the popcorn in another bowl for Akira. Apparently, how she prepared food wasn't "good" or "edible" although she would never understand why not. To her, the food most people ate was entirely too boring for her taste buds. Her friend usually ate her food, but she could tell he wasn't a fan of it, and it made him sick. Today, at least, she would make sure he was perfectly happy with everything, right down to the last popcorn kernel.

Hearing Akira's voice from the other room, the girl hurried the process up, quickly pouring the ingredients into her popcorn and putting them away, making sure the kitchen was left the same as when she had first gotten there. "Sorry, Akira!" she called, running through the door, two bowls of popcorn in her hand. The girl jumped in surprise, not realizing that Akira had been behind the door, and almost smacked into him, catching herself at the rest second. Letting out a relieved breath, she handed him the bowl of popcorn.

Akira's eyes actually just widened ever so slightly when the girl suddenly came bursting through the kitchen door, but he remained in place as she stopped right in front of him only a moment away from smacking into him before he calms back down and shakes his head a bit. "Why are you apologizing, Hikari?" Though after his question, he looked down as she hands him a bowl of regular popcorn.. There was nothing on it, no chocolate syrup, strawberries, ketchup or mustard, pickles or peppers.. It was.. Regular popcorn, he was actually surprised, then looked over at her bowl, noticing she made her own. "Oh, you didn't have to make two.. But, thank you." Gives the girl his usual partial smile as he reaches his fingers into the bowl before popping a piece into his mouth before he turns away, motioning for them to move back to the living room before he made his way over to the couch, picking up the remote as he sits down, expecting her to sit beside him as he glanced over to the screen. "You were okay with a Pokemon Movie.. Right?" He asked to clarify.. If she didn't want to watch such a movie they could easily change it, he didn't want to make her watch anything she didn't want to, even if it was his birthday, he put her first.

Stepping back a few steps so that she wasn't right in Akira's face, Hikari shrugged a little with a small laugh. "Because I almost ran into you and spilled the popcorn!" She said, her face a strange combination of looking joking and also looking as if it would have been the end of the world if she had dropped the popcorn. She made sure that he had access to the normal bowl when he reached his hand down to take a piece, and just shrugged once more. "It's no big deal. I don't want you to eat something that makes you sick on your birthday," she said with a grin, following him to the couch, sitting down right next to him. When he asked if she was alright with a Pokemon movie, she nodded enthusiastically. Pokemon was a game that she enjoyed immensely, and she played it when she had free time.

Her favorite Pokemon by far was a cute legendary one named Mew, whose pink coat and bubbly personality reminded her of, well, herself. "Pokemon's great!" she said with excitement, taking a handful of her special popcorn and popping it into her mouth, immediately looking pleased. To her, all the ingredients she added only complimented each other perfectly. It was a wonderful balance of sweetness, spiciness, and saltiness, and the girl leaned back in the couch to get more comfortable as the movie started.

Of course.. Spilling the popcorn, her precious creation was the end of the world right now, he couldn't help but do a very quiet chuckle under his breath, but she probably couldn't hear it. "If you spilled it, I could help you make more." He said before her remark about her not wanting to make him sick on his birthday, it actually made him felt kind of bad.. Cause she put so much effort into mmaking her food, and he would eat it, but he would often get sick and it was very clear.. He wish he was able to hide how bad it was behind a smile so he could make her more happy and say he likes it, though it'd also be bad to lie and he knew that from experience..

Though, now they were sitting and ready to watch the movie, when she said pokemon was great, he was glad, he even picked out her favorite of the movies they had seen together.. It actually being a rare original movie of Pokemon, the First Movie with mew and mewtwo as well as clone pokemon.. He knew she'd love it because it had her favorite pokemon, mew, and this movie was also his favorite.. Was it because it was the original? Or a specific pokemon? He'd never specify, though he sat back in the couch, taking another bite of popcorn as he started the movie, then remarked with another bite. "Thank you, again, for the popcorn." After an innumberable amount of minutes, given he didn't have a way to keep track of the time, the movie arrived at a scene that he knew Hikari would react too, it was when the little pink pokemon Mew found Mewtwo's base, and would fly up to the windmill, the scene was just so adorable.. She made it very clear that she loved it. "Heh.. Here's that part.." He said quietly eating another few pieces of popcorn, and now he was about halfway through the bowl.. Though his eyes were more focused on Hikari now, just to see how she would react to the scene.

Taking another glorious handful of her strange popcorn concoction, Hikari kept her eyes glued to the screen, watching the movie play out. It was easily one of her favorites, if not her favorite, movie of all time. To her, pokemon was awesome, and the movie they were watching actually had a good meaning to it. "No problem," she said softly when Akira thanked her for making the popcorn. When her favorite scene arrived, Hikari grinned wide, watching the little pink, bubbly pokemon, Mew, swim through the air, heading toward Mewtwo's base. It flew up to the windmill, and would ride it up in the air like a ferriswheel, then drop down to a lower level of the windmill and start the process again, giggling softly all the while. Hikari couldn't help but giggle herself, because it was an adorable scene. Joy was clear in her eyes as the scene came and passed, and she leaned back contently, eating her popcorn once more.

Akira only watched Hikari and listened to her giggles while she watched the Mew, her was so much like her play through the scene.. Her and the pokemon were just giggling away, while the corner of his mouth just curved up a bit.. He was glad to see her happy like this, though pretty much everything made her happy, whether it was her strange food, or movies like this. It was just good for him to see her happy.

After at least another half an hour or an hour, the movie came to an end after the extremely sad moment of Ash being turned to stone by the clashing Mew and Mewtwo, then the pokemon, both original and cloned learning to accept each other as and returning to normal.. This movie, was truly a great movie, his favorite of the Pokemon movies, it had a nice balance of sadness, suspense, humor, cute moments, and multiple other things as well as a strong meaning behind it.. How could a movie get any better? Once the end credits were finished rolling, since there were always some pokemon moments, or showings of what happened to some of the pokemon or characters in the movie after the event at Mewtwo's base occurred, he finally stopped the dvd, and turned it off, letting the screen turn blue as he looked over towards Hikari, his bowl of popcorn also empty at this point. "No matter how many times we watch it, it always remains the best." He said with his faint, little bit of what could be called a smile as he sat up straight, patting any access popcorn kernels that may have gotten on him off before setting his bowl off to the side, then resting his hands in his lap.. Clearly, even when around Hikari he has high manors, maybe even better around Hikari than others. "So.. What would you like to do now, Hikari?" He asked looking at her with his often passive expression, though she was probably the only one that could see the slim curiosity hidden behind his eyes with his question.

When the movie finished, Hikari turned to look at Akira as he spoke nodding. "I agree. It has pretty much everything you can ask for in a movie," she said with a wide grin, then stood up and took his empty popcorn bowl, placing it in her own empty bowl so that she could take it to the sink. "I'll be right back, Akira, kay?" she said, suddenly rushing away only leaving a small moment for him to reply. She quickly dashed to the kitchen and put the bowls in the sink, washing them out before washing her hands, since they were covered in the ingredients she had used to enhance her popcorn.

From there, she got her bag out of the kitchen, and moved back into the room Akira was in, plopping down once more beside him on the couch. She started to dig through her bag, before she produced a small box that held a cupcake inside. The box was designed to be able to hold the cupcake so that none of the frosting came off, and it didn't crumble. She opened the box, and set the cupcake down in front of Akira. It was a vanilla cupcake, decorated with a golden colored frosting, which she thought fit, considering Akira's eyes. She pulled out a candle, a small box of matches, and even a nicely wrapped giftbox, which she set next to the cupcake.

The cupcake was one of the rare edible things Hikari had ever prepared. She had been up all night, baking with Leere, scrapping things that didn't taste good, redoing certain parts of the recipe, burning herself on the oven, and pretty much just making a huge mess in the kitchen. But she had succeeded in a batch of cupcakes that Leere had claimed tasted good, so she really hoped Akira didn't throw this one up. The girl stuck the candle into the cupcake and struck the match, lighting the candle up as she grinned at her friend. "Happy birthday, Akira~!"

When Hikari started to stand and take his bowl from where he placed it, he moved to stand up as well, until she said that she would be right back, that stopped him instantly as he sat back down, nodding slightly. "Oh, alright." He said quietly, looking at her as he passed a bit of a wave as she took off.. He couldn't help but wonder what she was doing, if she was going to wash what they had just used, he would have usually gone along with her. Though sometimes things were different, like now.. So he would only sit here patiently and wait for her.. Switching the blue screen back to regular tv with the use of the remote, and started to quietly browse through channels as he made himself comfortable in his seat.

It was only a few minutes later that Hikari came back out of the kitchen into the room that he was in, this time with her bag.. Perhaps she needed to get something out of it, he just watched curiously as she sat down and started to dig through her bag, though his expression didn't really show any curiosity.. Until his eyes rested on a small box that she pulled out, opening it and revealing a beautifully colored cupcake that he assumed Hikari made herself.. Something already seemed different about it though, most of the food she made, as well as tasting horrible looked unappetizing, this cupcake.. Actually didn't look too bad, the light white color of the vanilla cupcake with the golden frosting that decorated the top.. Then he also noticed her put a candle in it, pulling out matches, and then a gift box.. She.. Actually got him a present? This made him feel a bit funny inside.. Not bad, almost joyful, in some odd way. He couldn't help but let the corners of his mouth curl up some to form his smile as she lit the candle and shouted happy birthday. "Heh.. Thank you, Hikari.. You didn't have to." He said as he slowly, hesitantly picked up the cupcake, examining it for a moment.. He was a bit afraid to eat it though, but first.. On the cue to blow out the candle and make a wish, he inhaled and blew lightly on the flame, blowing it out.. He already had a wish in mind, maybe one day it would happen.. There, he looked at Hikari for a moment. "It looks really good.. You decorated it so nicely." He said with a bit of a smile, now if only it tasted as good as it looked.. Hesitating for a moment, be brought the cupcake up to his mouth, closing his eyes as he took a bite into it, getting quite a bit of frosting and a good bite on the cake part.. He took a moment to chew before his eyes suddenly opened, this was the very rare time that his emotion was very clear on his face.. It was total surprise, the cupcake.. It was.. Just.. "It's.. Delicious.." He said quietly before taking another bite, still very surprised by the flavor, by the time he stopped eating the cupcake, there was a bit of frosting on his nose, and some around the edges of his mouth too.. He was completely oblivious to it though.

The bubbly girl continued grinning at her friend as he thanked her. "It was no problem at all," She watched closely as Akira lifted the cupcake to his lips and took a bite. She crossed her fingers, hoping that it was good. Leere wouldn't have lied to her, right? Though, what if he had gotten so sick of eating her food, he just told her it was good to make her stop? When Akira's eyes widened, she grew scared. He didn't like it. It was horrible. She started to hang her head only to lift it again when he said it was delicious. "R-really?!" she asked in surprise. When he continued to eat it, her smile returned, and she grabbed the small gift box, setting it in his lap, then laughing at the frosting on his face. She took a napkin from her bag and wiped it off, then set it aside and waiting patiently for him to open the gift.

After a bit Akira's eyes finally returned to normal, calming from the surprise as he took another bite.. He couldn't believe it, it was edible, not just edible.. It was absolutely delicious, it was just.. Almost impossible to believe.. He only nodded when she questioned what he said, offering her his bit of a smile that he would usually. "Yes.. It's really good.. I've never tasted anything like it.. Thank you, Hikari." He said as he closed his eyes slightly and still smiled a bit, the golden frosting remaining smeared around his face until he felt something placed in his lap, when he opened his eyes to gaze down at the present, looking at it with a bit of curiosity, before noticing a napkin dab his face to wipe the frosting away. Many would be at least somewhat embarrassed to have someone cleaning their face like that, but he just sat there, waiting for Hikari to finish before looking at her. "Thank you.. What's this?" He asked curiously as he lifted the box up, examining it for a moment. Then glanced at Hikari, who seemed to actually be waiting for him to open it.. So, why keep her waiting, he undid the ribbon that looked like it held it together, then started to tear the paper, revealing a small box, of course.. As he took the top off, there was a bit of tissue paper to hide it some, so he dug his fingers into it before his fingers brushed against a small chain/cord before hooking onto it and pulling it up, and looking even more curious at what dangled from it.. It was a key.. A key on a chain/cord. (KEYCHAIN).. He just examined it, it wasn't really a key that could be used for anything that he could see, it still looked really nice though.. Though, there had to be something he didn't see.. "It's.." He slowly looked towards Hikari. "It looks really nice.. But.. What is it?" He asked a bit nervous.. He actually felt bad for asking, but it wasn't clear of what it really was suppose to be..

Once again, Hikari waited patiently for Akira to open her gift, hoping that he would like it. When he held up the small key on the chain and asked her what it was, the girl laughed. Her gift didn't make sense, of course, because that wasn't how Hikari worked. The key was not one that would open any door, or drawer, or safe. It was the other part of a necklace she had brough, and as cheasy as it sounded, it opened the heart portion of her locket. "Well it's a key," she started, stating the obvious before digging through her bag until she found the locket she was looking for. In the center of the heart was a small key hole, and the girl gently took the key from Akira, and placed the two together so that the key slid into the locket and opened it up. "It opens up this piece, see?" she asked, holding it out to Akira so he could examine it. "I know guys aren't big on jewelry, so I thought that you could just put it on your bag or something, you know? Like a.." The pinkette suddenly cracked up at the lame pun she was setting up. "Like a keychain!"

Akira only stared for a moment as she said it was a key.. That was.. Obvious, he was holding the key in his hand.. Though he grew more curious as she started to dig through her bag again.. She was looking for something else? What exactly? His eyes narrowed as the shifting in the bag ceased, and she pulled out something rather small.. Not too small though, it was a locket, shaped like a heart that had a small keyhole in it from what it appeared.. This only rose his curiosity as he let the key slip from his hand when she took it from him, and slid it into the keyhole.. Actually opening the heart shaped locket up, before it was handed to him.. Where he started to examine it. "I see.. So.. You have the heart.. And I have the key.. Only this key can open it?" He asked quietly as he closed the locket, then opened it again with the key, and repeated the process a few times.. Thoughts actually ran through his mind, a locked heart and a key.. A bit of a smile formed as he stopped, pulling the key out, however he wouldn't say his thoughts.. Knowing him he was reading into things wrong. As he listened to her, he slowly brought the cord up to his neck for a moment, though he did actually let out a bit of a laugh at Hikari's joke.. Despite how lame of a pun it may be, it was still kind of funny, and how she cracked up when she tried to say it. "Heh.. Keychain.. Though you know, I actually wouldn't mind wearing it around my neck." He said offering her a faint smile, but then lowered the key as he held up the locket again for a moment, then slowly passed it towards her. "Are you going to put anything inside the locket?" He asked quietly, unless she already actually did and he over looked it.. It just made him ever so curious.. It had been quite a while since so much curiosity was experienced by the boy.

The pinkette simply nodded at Akita's question, watching him open and close the locket with his new gift. She smiled when he laughed at her lame pun, however small and short the laugh was, and looked surprised when he said he wouldn't mind wearing it. She had just assumed that most guys didn't like stuff like that. Yes, she had seen some guys who wore earrings, but this was different, and she was actually glad that he wanted to wear it. When he asked her a question, Hikari tilted her head a little, pick locks of hair tumbling over her shoulder as she did that. "Maybe if I can find a small enough picture, I can put a picture of us or my family in there," she said with a small shrug. "What do you think?
